People always pay attention to Madonna. Love this. And her YouTube subscribers are increasing as time goes by. She needs less than 50k to reach the 3 million mark!

Here in Germany normal people are talling about Madonna. This is something new for me. Today at my sport group everyone was talking about the performance. At work as well and every one that knows I like Madonna was asking me about my opinion😅

For all German M fans: Finally, some (rare) voices of sanity among this artificially created digital lynch-mob mentality:

If any German fellow member happens to be able to access the last article in full, I would be really grateful for a post/DM. 🙂

I do not have the time to translate these articles, but deepl.com is your friend. 😀

Stern and Die Welt are actually pretty important here in Germany. So I am glad we can read some reasonable and serious articles on such relevant magazines

Do you really think she's not training her voice anymore? At all? I love the performance but I'm a bit concerned about her voice health.

Ciao, Maximilian.😉 Personally I think she had issues with ear monitors and couldn't hear herself well.

Guys, I personally don't believe she had issues with the monitors. She sounded already not good at the rehearsl (independent of the quality of the audio clip of the rehearsal one can hear the pitch wasn't good). She has definitely not been training her voice (for years). I am a musician and I have been observing it for a long time now. She has a wonderful voice and some simple training routine would do wonders for her. It is a pity because it looks like she has been neglecting her voice... 😞

I'm not sure what is going on.

I just watched the Vevo version on her channel and I'm pretty sure there was nothing different regarding vocals compared to the streamed version I watched on the Eurovision Youtube channel?!?!

I'm not sure why people are saying they cleaned up her vocals because to me I didn't hear a difference.

Was there something wrong with the television broadcast? I can only go off both videos I've watched so far and neither are as terrible as what people are saying. As has been pointed out she has had far far far worse vocal performances so I don't know why THIS is being singled out. It wasn't even that bad?

Babe, unfortunately there is no way not to hear the differences...as much as we love Madonna she had vocal and tuning problems and they fixed it in the vevo version

  5. Good Morning everyone! I finally managed to watch it and I have to say it wasn't as bad as the media has written about. I actually liked it, a lot. Did she sing bad? Unfortunately yes. As a performer (and singer) should she improve and take care of her singing? Yes. Was the arrangement of LAP not the best one and helped pushing the quality of the performance down? Yes. Was Future the best choice? Maybe not. Would Medellon have fitted better Eurovision? IMO Definitely yes. But it was a beautiful and theatrical performance and I really get it. I even didn't miss M doing any intricate dancing moves, because it wasn't the idea behind the performance. Besides there was a powerful message (independent of the personal opinions on politics). The hate has no reason at all.

voices change. when you get older, your voice grows old. Madonna is not a robot. Madonna is good enough to sing in her 60s.

You are completely right, but that is exactly the reason why one should take care of their technique. There are a lot of singers who keep their voices healthy throughout their careers. Madonna could do that too

    Thanks for sharing!

Honestly, I really hope she warms up her voice before the show because it doesn't sound very strong... She raises the notes too high, I noticed the same thing last year at the MET.

Well, once I wrote here Madonna should pay more attention to her singing technique and I was almost banned. I just meant the human voice needs training like our body. If Madonna wants to sing live well then she needs to take care of her voice . She has a wonderful voice but she also should take care of her voice, she is a singer after all

(no shade at all here, it is just an observation)

Thanks @Kim. Am looking forward to the album though . I don't want to bitch and moan because of a song and the next thing you know we have to wait another 5 years for

a new album and Madonna will be in her mid 60s. I'm going to enjoy what I can and celebrate one of the greatest ( if not the greatest ) Pop stars ever !

I am sure the album will be full of songs for each taste and in the end of the day we will all enjoy and cherish Madame X 😉

You didn't like Candy Shop and Give Me All Your Luvin' ????!!! Actually I only loved Candy Shop from the MDNA tour and to be frank I can live a very happy and contented life not having to hear GMAYL ever again 😂

Am so looking forward to Madame X .

I actually like Candy Shop but I have to be in the right mood 😉I like the beat 🙂GMAYL doesn't belong to my beloved ones though😅

It's odd isn't it ??? I have been RAVING about the past 3 songs with Crave being my favourite and Medellin a close second . I was puzzled by Medellin at first as it came on Apple Music so late here in Asia but it's a song that really grows on you . I also miss that Madonna's era when the video helped enhance the song as well and Medellin's video did that for me . I Rise is a very good song but Crave had that vulnerability and the melancholy mood to it. A perfect summer gem for me. Future is too messy for me . I'm not connecting with it emotionally at all.

I'm find with people having different opinions because this is a forum as long as it's not super negative and of the non-constructive varieties .

Yes, I think it is normal not to like all songs. It is not realistic and it doesn't make anyone a "better" fan. Even in my top three Madonna albums there are songs I don't like very much. Let's see which place Madame X will take 😉

It's just okay for me . Good solid album track but unite Crave & Medellin I won't have it on repeat .

It is interesting to listen to the different opinions because that is how I feel about Crave. It is well produced and stuff but just okay for me, I know in the "Future" I won't be listening to it very often. Future on the other hand totally got me and I could dance to it and Medellin all day long (a small note: I took me a while to like Medellin but this song is genius. I don't like reggae very much and am not keen on Quavo's music, but Future has this special Madonna touch we all love)

I haven't listened to any songs besides Medellín, and I only listened to Medellín a few times. I want to wait for the full album before listening to anymore songs.

Am I the only weird person doing this? lol

Well, I wouldn't say you are weird, you just have an extreme self control LOL

But as we still have 10+ songs to hear I think it is okay to listen to the songs she released. She want us to get a flavour of the album. I am totally for it. Even having heard the released songs I know I will be surprised by the album. It is shaping up to be extremely varied and a love it

That’s pretty impressive considering 90% of the song is in Spanish. It’s a magnificent song.

Well, italian and spanish are often mutually understandable (for people who speak a romance language the languages sound very familiar). I also know italians love latin music (please italians correct me if I am wrong)

  14. I really love it, especially because I had very low expectations. Quavo's participation is not too much and the song has a very positive vibe. I wish it had a little less effects on Ms voice, but I get the concept of the song and think it is ok.

    7/10 (for me a 7 is very good grade 😉 )

I can’t wait for that ALBUM!

Its still almost a month away 😫

    Wanting

    NEEDING!!!!!!

waiting, for you, to justify my love (for Madame X) 🤣

can't wait for the album either! I pre-ordered the double CD Deluxe Version and the Vinyl (besides iTunes too)!

  16. I can't stand fans who attach to the past. I obviously love Madonna's past work (a lot) but I am beyond grateful that she keeps looking forward. People forget that is not possible to replicate the past and should learn to look to the "Future". Confessions 2.0. Erotica 2.0, Ray of Light 2.0, not only will never happen but Madonna should also never try to do it and she is right. Madame X is the proof (even without having listened to the whole album)

I'm not gonna lie...I was expecting to hate it because it's not a genre I like, and the Quavo feature...but I actually like it a lot! The trumpets are great, and the bridge is amazing (like always).

This is exactly how I feel. I was secretly beginning to think I would hate it for the same reasons, but the song totally got me.
