  1. 1985 I was 7 my sister was 16 and Madonna was EVERYWHERE.

Songs all over the charts, number one and two at the same time. Live aid .desperately seeking Susan. Then in early 86 Borderljne being everywhere and then Live to Tell coming out where she looked totally different and then Papa and the short hair.

As far as I remember everyone loved her . She was a phenomenon.

I'm the same age as you, Dr Lecter. :) I became a fan probably sometime in late 1984. I feel like her stardom exploded out of nowhere and before you knew it she was EVERYWHERE. From what I remember, she really struck a chord with the young girls, as I remember we ALL wanted to be her. To look like her, dress like her.

This is the oldest piece of memorabilia that I own (besides my old cassettes), that kind of gives you an idea the beginnings of the phenomenon. It was published in 1985 and the most current thing in there is the Live Aid concert.

  2. Completely enamored. I was 14 when it was released, and the era was perfect timing for me and my raging teenage hormones. lol

But seriously, it remains my favorite album/era to this day. I remember the first time I heard "Fever," and it thinking it sounded like total sonic bliss.

And OMG "Secret Garden." Completely smitten from the get go. Still one of the best songs she has ever done.

  3. I missed the show over some stupid shit I don't even want to get in to. It took me nearly a month to log back in bc I couldn't even think about M w/o welling up.

I'm gonna try for Louisville on Jan 16. I used to live in Indianapolis so know the route to get down there pretty well. Problem is, I'm worried about traveling in the winter, even if I end up taking a plane, which I'm seriously considering. Don't wanna buy the concert ticket and maybe get stranded or delayed and miss it again. This ol' heart can't take that disappointment again.

    I'm so sorry, Sloane. :(

    I hope Louisville works out.

  4. Alright, now we're coming into my area of expertise.

The pink candy swirl says it all. Especially since she's sitting with her legs spread. Pud is right. It symbolizes her sticky, sweet, raw, throbbing, hot, wet pu**y.

It's her dirtiest album cover. But most people are sheep and they don't get it.

Never interpreted the album cover this way (it takes me awhile sometimes, I swear), but now of course I love it even MORE.
