Well there's not much fun to be had rebelling against people who love you.
-
I like this place, I really do. But it's starting to dawn on me that the Madonna Nation doctrine is stricter than any religion and it's really confusing having grown up non religiously in a largely secular country
Hold on to your freedom.

I always thought that they just don't understand her and that's a shame for them.

Marketing. It's an illusion that most things today are driven by anything but money. I can go on a tirade about some people's obsession with money but the thread is about ageism.
I will say money, Hollywood, baby boomer generation, fear, lost of any respect for wisdom....closed mindedness, mostly fear I think.

This album is always a joy to listen to. Captures the era perfectly.

Is Madonna using instagram to display her paintings and graphic design? Seriously, the stupidity is making me weak.

The Rebel Heart song on the album reminds me of Madonna. Her, her feelings starting out and how she feels now. Who wants too much music drowning all that out?
-
I don't understand the aiming for teens. I just have to get this out there quickly because I have to go to work. Rebel Heart appeals to me. Rebel would appeal to more teens if people didn't constantly tell them what they should and shouldn't like. Teens have different personalities as well as adults and it's an illusion created by people in the music industry and the media that they all like the same kind of music. I knew kids growing up that had rules about everything you were suppose to like but I never wanted to be a part of that. I listened to everything. Appreciated music with deep thoughts. I was open to learning things about the past. I looked up to people who I felt knew more than I did. There are teens who want to use their own minds. Their voices are just being drowned out right now.

Here's to my favorite song. Simply the best.

I am verbally restrained by my own will. It gives others the advantage. Let's just say I don't understand.

Larkspur, you really should read the REAL story here, right Stephen?
I'm aware of it's origins.

Do people worship money so much that they don't care about screwing over people who have it? I think it's sad that entities can profit off of people's ignorance and weaknesses. They are getting rich off helping the"poor little people" screw over successful artists although it is not advertised as such.
I think it's wrong to judge how much respect someone deserves based on how much money they have or make and it goes both ways.
How can people not want to support the artists?

It's right up there with whatever Roger Friedman writes about her. It takes a certain amount of "brilliance" to write a tabloid story...and the brilliance is on another level when it's about someone you claim to love.
Why click on Madonna news and read about her album or her amazing appearance at the Met Ball when you can read the brilliance of tabloid writing?
I'm glad I don't get it. I don't ever want to be that "brilliant."
If Madonna does read these forums she has the patience of a saint. I'd a flipped by now.

That MADONNA a billionaire living in the most luxurious home would have a rat problem like normal people
thats it it's not serious
So people who are not billionaires or in Madonna's case millionaires are the normal people? I'm pretty poor and I don't have a rat problem. Living in a city with a ton of restaurants might be more challenging for anyone. I have seen them come out in broad daylight in Manhattan. To put it into a bit of perspective, would it be funny to tell everyone in your neighborhood "hey guess what' so and so down the street whom I love and doesn't have a penny, I am going to make up a story that she has a rat problem." Is it still funny? You don't lose your right to have respect and consideration as soon as your bank account goes up. Being rich does not protect you from having a rat problem and being poor doesn't make you susceptible to having one.
Madonna is a person just like me and everyone else and I would be hurt if people that loved me were telling everyone I have a problem in my house and they thought it was a riot.
I guess I have to start separating everyone into groups. These people deserve respect, these don't. This one deserves to be where they are, this one doesn't. I could at least get it if people who were saying it didn't like her.
It's all gonna fall on deaf ears. Is there anyone that understands me??? I'm alone.
I identify with Wash All Over Me because I AM a stranger in a strange land and I do not understand this world. I don't why I am here, I have no answer. I don't know what is going on. It's like beer. Why does everyone I know like beer except me? Why do I have to always be on the outside why everyone else is having good time. To join in I have to pretend. I have to pretend that I get it.

Ok it's not funny at all it's a very serious situation
Don't worry about the fact that I don't think it's funny. You are just one of several that think it's funny so I'm asking what is funny about it? Cause you guys would know the answer. I can't answer the question for myself so I have to go to someone in the know.

I could understand where it could be mistaken as a rat with a quick glance but once u look closely it's obvious it's the paper she tosses to the ground. This is quite funny anyway.
Explain to me what is funny about spreading around that Madonna's home has rats that many people are going to take away as the truth? I am trying to put myself in Madonna's position and asking myself, "would I think this is funny?"

Yeah, I didn't get that.
Don't you remember when she said she liked taking the lint out of the dryer screen?
-
I feel like I'm just hearing this song. I have a new appreciation for it.

Okay....
I have remained silent about that picture....

That shows to me Madonna should never go back to dark hair no matter how much some fans want it. Blonde hair definitely makes her look younger. The dark hair is too harsh a contrast with her pale skin.
I like the blonde hair on her but I think she can pull off any haircolor. I honestly think she looks amazing in her natural brown hair. It's not a big deal to me what color her hair is but it would be cool to see her hair in a darker brown. Is dark brown her natural haircolor? For a long time I thought her natural haircolor was dark blonde. She could darken the blonde some more. Maybe a beige blonde or wheat.
Just wanted to mention for women in their fifties, I have seen women who don't even have a small fraction of Madonna's money go out looking fabulous. They don't smoke, drink lots of water and try to eat healthy. That stuff really counts towards being attractive. I have no doubt that Madonna is probaly also using some interesting spa treatments but I don't think anything major is going on. That is definitely her.

Understated and gorgeous.

Let it wash all over me.

Love this.

I don't remember the exact details of the release of this song but I remember knowing it was coming and anticipating it's arrival with much excitement. I had almost no idea what to expect. I was not disappointed.
