Some people are just into that kind of thing i guess. I for one don't NEED the album to have a 'theme' for me to enjoy it. Whats important is that i enjoy the songs on their own. I rarely even listen to an album from start to finish.

It's wrong because the promo for this album started so strong but it all went flat very quickly.
Other artists don't promote at all tho, like not even one interview., so I guess we can consider ourselves lucky.
IDK, how promotion works these days, like what do the others do?

I really stanned and adored RH so much, I listened to it continuously for like a year as it has such a vast collection of songs I enjoy...but, I think that Madame X is just superior in every way.

They play the Medellin video on R101 at my gym pretty much every time I go, I'm always the only one with a smile on my face watching it

This is also very true. The fact that no matter how good her material is it's never going to be successful again is incredibly frustrating...Madame X is one of her best works ever, her best album since COADF, and we can't even brag about it. We can't brag about any new excellent live performance either because i don't know why, she decides to keep those only for tours now.. Also all the disrespect and the HUGE loads of negativity that's been thrown at her basically since she's been single hasn't been nice witnessing.

This forum is still very much active, well more active than any of the other M places out there. Every time I log in here, which is like 100 times per day, this section and the Madonna discussion one has some threads bumped. People are still posting like every other minute. There's no frenzy because we already discussed the whole album over and over and there's nothing else going on now, not even some juicy gossip.

I noticed it as well, I guess people are off enjoying their summer. Everybody loves the album, it's just that there's not a lot to talk about right now, but things will change once the tour starts.

EO was always "up there" in terms of my faves but within the past couple of weeks I think it's replaced IDSIF as my favorite on MX. There's just nothing bad on this album so it's hard for me to define my favorite. It really depends on my mood I suppose. EO is special though and I don't see myself EVER tiring of it!
Yes same here, I have a ton of faves on the album, but Extreme Occident really is THAT bitch.

I just knew Looking For Mercy would be her favorite, and I was right. But she also liked God Control and said Madonna should be very proud of that song. She asked me questions about the EO lyrics, which she liked a lot.
One thing that made me happy was that she literally gasped aloud when Madonna sings “God knows what I am” on KWAP. It was not her favorite song but she thought that vocal was gorgeous.
She did not care for Come Alive or Bitch I’m Loca, which I had predicted.
Just sharing this cute report of my Mom’s required listening session hahaha.

Extreme Occident, but that was from day one. This song just moves something inside of me, I can't explain it. There's something about it.

I agree with this. We naturally get even more excited if there's BUZZ surrounding things that we like and we know that other people aren't indifferent and possibly feel very positive about those things too. It's like an approval...we get joy from it. And we were used to this with most of M's releases.
