We should be glad Madonna has haters. Had she ever been universally praised, she wouldn't have stayed popular for nearly as long.
She's been able to surf right on the line of top dog / underdog, and that's been one of her greatest talents. She's considered the pop girl to beat, yet they count her out EVERY time she releases something.

Ha I requested on their FB page. Fuck radio 1
-
Finally heard it on KIIS FM Los Angeles !!! =)
I NEVER hear it on there! Wish I had heard! Good news was that my yoga teacher played a remix of it this morning, and she mostly only plays hip hop - so my assumption is it's connecting with ppl on some level.

I'm glad no ones picking up on the story. It would just give that stupid cheek to cheekshit more clicks. Madonna knows who she is, we know who she is and Gaga has like 3 big hits and even with those was the most deleted artist, so no one really cares about her past glories. Better if the press doesn't write about her at all than write something negative.

i agree, but I also think Madonna shouldn't try courting radio any longer either. Release awesome music whether it's radio friendly or not. Make online deals and contests to get it popular there. License songs out for video games, TV shows and movies. Perform on popular shows. Strike social media. So far, her social media game is on point this era.I really don't think this can be blamed on Interscope. Big radio deals really aren't a thing anymore. They were trendy for a short period of time from around 2011 to 2013
Madonna delivered a great song, video, and performance. Given the leak, I think the timing was rolled out pretty well. Radio just aren't picking up on the song. Unfortunately, Madonna is perceived as old and not 'cool' by pop radio's target demo. That's it really. Interscope can't magically change that.
Madonna may be old, but U know what's even older, and really isn't keeping up with the times? Fucking radio!

Bad Girl if I'm drunk by 6

you don't like any of the first 6 tracks?? That can't be right.I'm confident REAL reviews will be much better.
I agree, I'm not a fan of Illuminati, BIM. Or any of first six tracks that were released, to be honest. They are growing on me, though.
Isn't it crazy, though, how that STILL leaves like twenty tracks I do love to listen to??

some people just have it in their heads that everything Madonna does is somehow bad or wrong, and they have it infrained so deep they twist everything to support that idea for themselves. Madonna's always gonna be misunderstood, we'll just have to accept it.why are stupid cunts saying she promotes BULLFIGHTING?
those are NOT BULLS, they are MINOTAURS which is based to a Greek legend.
-
I listened to it and now I'm trying not to anymore until it's officially released. I want the physical disc.

Charlie Hides is an idiot. His videos aren't even that funny, and that one is just rude. It's not like he's that good looking
-
She just schooled every other pop artist on what performance art is.
-
If she wasn't in her seat for everyone she didn't like she'd miss damn near the entire show.
-
All I want to see her do is whip that red cloth at the end like in the video and I will be a happy man.
-
where she looked like a buck toothed deer in headlights when asked who she was and then sputtered out unconvincingly "I'm everything?" What a weak moment for her.Lol the Gargoyle even managed to steal that line from Madonna

I love the pic, but the first pic for me, visually complements the theme of the album. Rebel and heart. Here, it's a great and somewhat bold pic of Madonna looking like Marilyn.
-
no.I'm glad that most fans love the album (me included), was it like this during the MDNA and Hard Candy eras?
-
I wasnt attacking anyone
Just implying ONLY YOU know about high fashion. K.

Messiah needs to be a soundtrack single. Jesus that song is beautiful!
-
Finally on Rebel Heart. I listened to the bonus tracks earlier. I feel like I've been whalloped.
This works really well as an album. I don't hear anything super immediate is probably the only thing I would say. I can't see any songs that I would say will be #1 hit singles, but it's a fucking GREAT album. I'm pretty sure on the first go-round that Iconic and Messiah were my favorites.
My favorite surprise moment was Nas' rap on Veni Vidi Vici
Low points - Rebel Heart changeup from the demo (although it fits the album better) - that's it for me.
I'm very glad I didn't listen to the demos (aside from RH and WAOM). I will seek them out once I've heard the album a bit more and it's had more time to digest.
-
OMFG Messiah! I am losing my shit.
-
I'm on my first listen without having listened to the demos first. Right now on Veni Vidi Vici, which isn't my fav, although not bad.
OMG I just hit the rap verse - I LOVE THIS. Holy shit. That changed the song around. The Nas rap gave me chills.
The songs that I'm not loving the first go round I feel are gonna be growers.
-
Wow - on Inside Out now. Damn this is good!
-
Hmm - I LOOOOVE Holy Water. The demo must have been pretty bad judging by all the criticism it got before.
Request Living For Love on the radio! UPDATE: time to focus on the next single

I think Madonna should do a really avant grade album, something that wouldn't get played on radio anyways - then license the songs for commercials, film, popular video games and explore other ways to get the music out there. Madonna shouldn't have to beg for a spot on radio. Period.
