I should have done the vip tour package. I'd have gladly paid 555 for good seats.

It was so great to see Madonna be vulnerable like this and tell her stories. I'd love it if she goes back at some point. Favorite part was the Basquiat story.

I think Robin's integral to the show. She just added nothing to this particular interview. I also don't think it seemed M cared for her much either. I don't care if M's ass is kissed or not. Maybe you should "get over it" and allow others to express an opinion different to yours. All I'm saying is that Robin is an integral part of the show and that she's cool. Ppl are beating up on her cuz they're caught up in all this Madonna ass licking. Or becuz she asked questions. Bitch, her title is co host. Get over it.
Rant over

my comment on robin is based on my own observations. She is obviously there so it's ok if racist things or mysoginistic things are said. I also think Howard genuinely loves Robin.Yeah these ppl have no clue what they're talking about
As for Private Parts, it's an autobiographical film written by Howard Stern. It's clearly meant to portray he and Robin in a positive light. I think they are both good people. I think Howard's funny, and I think Robin adds to the show, but I thjnk she helped to hedge some of the early criticisms against him. There's a reason Howard's sidekick isn't another white male.

joan of arc^ I think this is what makes their show, really. I mean, aren´t we all like that in real life? We talk shit and then we act differently. I think Howard´s thing is just to provoke and see how far the artist is going to go if he just keeps pushing. Which is very much what Madonna´s about too, ha!
I loved the interview. I wish he would´ve gone a bit further with discussing other songs as well, and not just a handful (he talked about GT, DP, HW... am I missing another?).

Robin is there (at least originally) so people couldn't accuse Howard of being racist or mysoginist. Robin is a very intelligent woman but can be a little bullish sometimes.not really all she does is repeat what howard says or interrupts howard. and ugh that annoying cackle.

hmm. I'm over myself don't worry. I don't think Robin has to like Madonna. One of my favorite things about Madonna is that she's divisive. I just was pointing it out. I think Robin doesn't like her and I felt that came through in their interaction. Sorry that was so hard for you to hear.Get over yourself. It's not a law that everyone has to love and adore Madonna like we do. Madonna would be boring as fuck if everyone did. People are allowed to have opinions. Props to Robin for being professional and putting aside her personal opinions and having an open mind in the interview. She seemed very positive and sweet in the interview to me.

i think I may be too familiar with Robins opinions on Madonna. I love the Stern show, but Robin has always been vocal about not liking Madonna.you people are way too familiar with fluff pieces.

I always thought Swept Away was a creepy depiction of Guy's manifestation of their marriage. I think he saw Madonna as someone who needed to be put in her place. It was very telling in an uncomfortable way.
Although I loved the Ritchie directed video for What it Feels Like for a Girl.

I will say I thought Howard took one cheap shot when he quipped that it was the first time Madonna had smiled during the interview. I was like you just asked her about death several times, her rape, and her mothers death. Like why would he expect her to be smiling?
Also, Fred made a couple of sarcastic quips while she was talking, and I thought Robin's distaste for Madonna came through. Although i think Howard and Robin may have decided beforehand to do a good cop/bad cop thing to get Madonna to open up to Howard's questions.

As predicted, AMAZING interview, and lengthy, one and a half hours! That's meaty! And time really did fly by. Stick around to hear what they have to say about it after she's left. This should be interesting as well
No - they're done. They are ending the show directly after the song.
-
Robin's "It was a pleasure" lol. She does not like her.
-
Madonna and Robin don't seem to like each other.
-
At least he didn't bring up her fling with Vanilla Ice. lol
-
Nope - Alanis talk. Maybe no Gaga - hmmm
-
Guy Ritchie alcoholic confirmed.
-
I think he's really thrown her off guard with a couple questions. SOme of them are a little rude.
-
She got annoyed with Robin about that.
-
I love that you can HEAR the TRUTH in her stories. Unlike Gaga where everything sounds like a lie. You listen to Madonna telling these stories, and there's no doubt in my mind that they're real.
-
Kudos to Howard Stern for getting out of her the best interview probably of her career.
-
Madonna has never in her life been this candid. It's so weird hearing it. It feels like her telling Lola or Rocco about what life was like growing up for her.
-
She sounds just like she used to! It's like listening to a 1990 interview. Fo' real!
-
Her voice sounds like during Blond Ambition.
-
The later she is, the shorter the interview
You think she doesn't know that? Strategy!

Eh whatever. The author purposely used a controversial sound bite as one of the few quotes from her. Let's not forget how often Madonnas been misquoted. If she did say it, it was dumb, but I know Madonna well enough to know that she still believes gays and blacks are oppressed and is here on the fight with them, and she has thousands of quotes to back that up, so I don't doubt her solidarity for one second regardless.
