Madonna's definitely done music that has the "indie" sound, for lack of a better term. I don't know if I consider Rebel Heart that, but songs like Paradise, Nobody Knows Me, Secret Garden, Has to Be all fit that description for me.

I do think a lot of the criticism leveled toward Madonna lately is totally ageist. There were a lot of articles making fun of her standup skit on Fallon and I have to wonder if Rihanna, or even Madonna in the 80s had done it, if they wouldn't have been praising it as cute and endearing.
If Rihanna had kissed Drake and he'd had the same reaction, would newspapers be posting that he was "disgusted" by her? I doubt that would be the jumped to conclusion. So while I'm sure it must hurt Madonna, it is provoking a lot of discussion.

if they release Diplos final version as a stand alone (which they should) and use that version in the video, I think this song has a chance of being a hit.It's a great song. I can't see it going that far on the charts though, I think iconic would be a better pick. I could see Bitch going top 40, maybe even too 30 at first with a digital only release.

I think she should do it precisely for that reason.I'm a bit conflicted about BIM possibly being a third single. I like other songs much better on RH, and wonder if GP and critics would have more ammunition to accuse her of being desperate and trying to act younger.
On the other hand, they will criticize her anyway, and fans here believe it has the chance to be a sizable hit while reaching a different demographic.

I have to say that Madonna does find a way to keep people talking about her. That can be a good and a bad thing.. almost like a double edged sword in a way.

The picture looks a lot worse than the video. I just watched it and Drake's reaction just looks surprised/laughing. Of course the haters are gonna go after her. They were looking for something to criticize. I think Drake's reaction was fine.

I love everything about BIM and the video to this OMG no doubt would be FANTASTICO!! But this performance her dancing was a mess. Sorry not sorry. Tone down the joke aspect of it a bit and DANCE BITCH. PROPERLY. Because saying Bitch I'm Madonna isn't entirely a joke.. IT'S TRUE. So be what made her earn the right to say that. DANCE. She is properly trained, christ it's so annoying when she doesn't DANCE like I know she can.
