  1. I was 11, and wasn't really aware of the press lashings she was getting. I remember the local kiss station played tracks from the cd before it was released and I happened to catch the tail end of Fever on the radio and LOVED it.

My parents refused to let me buy the cd, so I stole it from the store by undoing the shrink wrapping, taking the cd out of the case and stuffing it down my pants. My favorites were Fever and In this Life, which is weird because now I think they are two of the weaker tracks, and tracks I didn't like back then (where life begins, secret garden) are some of my favorites now.

I still loved the album back then, but I knew I wasn't gonna be playing it on family trips like I did with Like a Prayer. Oh well.

  2. Haha - look it's just my opinion. I think a lot of the songs had potential, but they were ruined by awful awful production and sounded like they decided to just finish the song before they reached the pinnacle of what it could be.

DWRY could have been FUCKING AMAZING. Instead, it's just pretty good. Dance Tonight is a prime example of a song that just sounds utterly lifeless. The production on Voices ruins it, and Heartbeat is ruined by the crow vox.

  3. Do you think Madonna will have another go on the road where she goes all out w choreography and physicality a la MDNA and sticky, or did she reach the pinnacle and is now going to have more tempered choreographies going forward?

Let me just say I haven't even seen or watch Rebel Heart aside from the Who's that Girl performance, so this is in no way a criticism of her current tour - just a general question.

  4. Madonna wants people to love the work, not her. She doesn't revel in people's adulation. It's unhealthy for her fans, and it's unhealthy for her, and she knows that. I'm sure it's a prime reason she's been able to stay sane all these years under the microscope. She knows what's real and what isn't.

Whether the general public is aware of it or not, I think it contributes to her sense of strength as well. After all, it must take a hell of a lot of willpower not to derive a false sense of self from fawning fans. I don't know of any other superstar who's fully able to resist it and then you've got the Mariahs and Gagas who just wallow in it.

  5. MDNA probably had the most flexibility of any Madonna tour yet. From adding the snippet of Give it 2 Me in Celebration, to adding full songs like Holiday, Everybody, and Music on select stops, to even adding a show stopping performance like Love Spent.

Do you think Madonna will tinker with this tour as she becomes more comfortable with performing it?

  6. Look at sex as being a positive thing despite living in a society that loves to tell people it's wrong

Got into art because of Madonna.

Her stamina is something I always think of if there's a day I don't feel like working out

Speaking my truth even if it's not in accordance with societal views

    Practiced yoga

Learned to choose my words wisely. Speak less and what you say has more impact

  7. I remember people thought she was scaling back her dancing due to old age back in the DWT days lol. She showed them wrong. She will have to do it someday. Hope we're not there yet - I'd like to think she'll have some fire to prove she can still do it at 60 so we'll see where the next tour takes us.

As for this one, I'm not going to watch any videos - difficult as it may be- until my show in LA in October, so no opinions on it either way.

  8. How much time does Madonna spend on the heart. I have two pairs of tickets and not sure which one to get rid of. The first pair is row 1 dead center of the lowest loge. The second pair is in the back of the floor section.

At first I was gonna ditch the floor seats because I didn't think I'd be able to see much, but now it looks like those seats would be fairly close to the heart stage. Any advice based on seeing the show tonight?
