  1. I held out strong for a long time, but I've preordered the album and since it's everywhere I'm listening. On my first listen as we speak (I did not listen to the demos except Rebel Heart and Wash All Over Me). So far, Iconic is KILLING me. I can't remember what Hold Tight sounded like and I think Joan of Arc was very pretty, and I definitely hear the similarity to Big Girls Don't Cry that others were talking about.

  2. Just wondering then, would we rather have people that like or once liked Gaga, continue to dislike Madonna for no reason or actually see them get some taste and intelligence and come to know and love her. Personally, I don't care is someone used to be a little Monster, I like it if they have matured, seen through the garbage and come to appreciate and love Madonna. Better than them continuing to be brainwashed by her cult false victim act and instead start appreciating real artists.

I love the beautiful irony of it. Gaga came out blatantly trying to pick up Madonna's fans who weren't happy with Hard Candy, and now all her fans are becoming introduced to Madonna instead. What a reverse Warholian experience!

  3. After the tracklist was announced, I listened to most of the demos that didn't make the cut, but not any that are on the album.

After hearing them, I'm surprised there's been so much bickering about what is and what isn't on the album. At least from what I've heard, these demos sound completely, utterly unfinished. None of them sound as far along as Unapologetic Bitch or Bitch I'm Madonna. Rebel Heart was the next one that sounded nearly complete, and even that's changed quite a bit, so I'm guessing that none of these demos are going to sound like what ya'll have heard.

  4. Here's the landscape Madonna needs to navigate when she makes an album.

It needs to be avant garde, yet accessible

There has to be something that we can dance to, but with ballads

Radio hits, but not featuring anyone who is currently popular on the radio

    Age-appropriate yet daring

Has something to say, but nothing too complex or we can't dance to it

Lyrics that aren't too vacant or meaningless, set to hard driven beats

Nothing like what we've heard from her before, yet capturing that "madonna sound"

Nothing too similar to current popular sounds of the moment, or its bandwagoning. Still, must be something radio will pick up on!

  5. I don't really agree. For me, the more Madonna the better. What may be one person's favorite song, another person may not care for. So I think more tracks is better for most people. There's more likeliehood of appealing to more people. If you don't like a song you can always not listen to it or skip it, but you can't add more songs. Also, it seems now there's a longer gap between albums than in the 80's, so more tracks is better. I don't worry about a concept as much as some people. I tend to listen to albums all the way through only a couple of times. I then pick out my favorite songs and make random playlists with other artists I like.

normally I don't like overstuffed albums. But Madonna's albums have literally always been concise and focused. Her longest album is what? 14 tracks? And she probably averages about 11 tracks per album if you were to average out the amount of tracks on each released album.

So I am fine with one album with a lot of songs provided it's not a continuing pattern.

  6. I'm wondering - and maybe you all can brainstorm - if she is going to perform LFL at The Grammys, what can she do to make it memorable? They obviously have something already planned out, but its fun to think about this stuff. What can she do to leave an impact with the performance? I still talk to people about the 2005 EMA performance of Hung Up.

  7. They are actually bashing her claiming she stole the pics and didnt credit him..

Facebook him : Danny Quirk Artwork

"Madonna stole my heart...haha" "Flattering but infuriating"

on his personal page what he said was "'madonna wants my body, and she stole my heart haha. And he's grttin congratulated and seems to be happy.

Jacqueline van Deusen, his model for the breast pic, wrote in Instagram "so there comes a time in an art student's life where you pose for a nude painting (by Danny quirk) in college... Then the most famous icon comes and slaps her face on it"

Hmm sounds both positive and negative there. But on Danny quirks page in response to someone saying madonna stole the artwork, she responded that Madonna created somethinf new with it and there is no case for theft.
