Well, sorry but USA was not DIRECTLY involved into that genocide. Could Biden have done more to prevent it? Sure! But was USA itself trowing bombs on Gaza? No. Now USA would directly own Gaza and resettle its population into Egypt and Jordan. Direct involvement. It's one thing to stand by watching an atrocity, it's another to actually do the atrocity. Or I am missing something???
I’m not going down this rabbit hole again there are like 100 pages of it on this forum so I’ll just have Chat gpt summarize it for us. Mind you, I’m not even being biased I legit asked it “is the U.S. involved in the war in Gaza”
The U.S. is deeply involved in the war in Gaza primarily through its military, financial, and diplomatic support for Israel. Here are the key ways:
1. Military Aid – The U.S. provides Israel with billions of dollars in military assistance, including weapons, ammunition, and missile defense systems like the Iron Dome. Since the war began in October 2023, the Biden administration has approved additional military aid, including precision-guided bombs and artillery shells.
2. Diplomatic Support – The U.S. has consistently backed Israel in international forums, including vetoing or delaying UN resolutions calling for ceasefires or investigations into alleged war crimes. Washington argues that Israel has the right to defend itself while urging it to minimize civilian casualties.
3. Humanitarian Aid – While supporting Israel militarily, the U.S. has also pledged humanitarian aid to Palestinians, providing food, medical supplies, and other relief efforts in Gaza. However, delivering aid has been complicated by the ongoing fighting and Israeli restrictions.
4. Pressure for a Ceasefire – The U.S. has engaged in diplomacy, pushing for temporary ceasefires and negotiations, including efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas. However, its reluctance to impose stronger conditions on Israel has led to criticism from both domestic and international observers.
5. Regional Military Presence – The U.S. has deployed warships and troops to the region, citing deterrence against escalations involving Iran, Hezbollah, or other groups. There have also been U.S. strikes on Iran-linked militias in Syria and Iraq following attacks on American forces.
The U.S.’s role is controversial—some argue it enables Israel’s military actions, while others say it is working to balance support for Israel with humanitarian concerns.

If anything your comment @elijah just goes to show you how out of touch democrats are coming off. Maybe try reaching out to a Muslim in Detroit and asking their opinion versus just making assumptions

It was genocide or this. I don’t know how this comment is relevant.
I’m so sure they’re thinking “damn, genocide wasn’t that bad”

The other thing I'm not a psychic about that happened the last time and will happen again, his party has a SLIM majority in the house, essentially every single member of the republican party in congress needs to vote for every piece of legislation they try to pass from here on out or they will get nothing done. They're notoriously bad at doing this.
When this whirlwind and chaos of executive orders is behind us, and pissing off of our allies and pseudo mass deportations are behind us which seems to be the only thing he knows how to do and which is all for the glitz and glamor (aka Fox News style populism), his party is going to get nothing done and that's when we'll be back to him just being that big, useless, pathetic little BITCH that left the White House in embarrassment, but everyone forgot about because we have amnesia and are brainwashed.

@ULIZOS is psychic!
J/k. I'm really not. This is EXACTLY what he did last time. He makes empty threats (e.g., these tariffs were never going to happen, they would've devastated the U.S. economy). It riles up his fan base. Gets our allies to do things. He call himself a success. His fan base thinks he's a huge success and "actually getting things done unlike Biden."
Also, it's as if he saw a 10 minute video somewhere on Youtube on populism 101, and said "yup. got it." -

Maybe I'm abnormal, but that was how his last term felt for me all the way in Australia. I'm trying not to fall into the same trap this time, but fear I've already failed. Last week I had a full on spiral of despair
I’m trying to be positive, but this time around it’s shit like a 25% on everyone tariff. Point blank. What the hell did Canada do to the u.s.???And the economy is already really tough here in the U.S.
things were looking bright last time around. Obama left us in a much better spot. The Supreme Court wasn’t controlled by trump’s friends. Inflation wasn’t a thing. We’re all struggling and he’s going to make it worse from one day to the next! The stock markets are going to be a mess on Monday.
Europe is next “Trump says he 'absolutely' plans on imposing tariffs on the EU.”
Mind you, this is me after telling everyone to take a deep breath just this morning

So Trump is doing it to get these countries to do other things?
Thats what its really all about ?
Yup
you’ll see. Remember, he’s the greatest negotiator or whatever the fuck.
For example. Mexico’s president will stop allowing migrants travel through the country and claim asylum at the U.S. border, which he did last time around. They’ll stop them at the southern border and send them home, etc. they’ll do more of this, too: https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/mexico-fentanyl-seizure-trump-tariff/ etc., etc.
I quite frankly don’t know what he wants Canada to do
-
It's happened: Trump announces new tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China
Mark my words - in the coming days top officials from the 3 above countries are going to meet with Trump's team, they're going to agree to do things (e.g., Mexico will stop migrants entering their southern border versus letting them flow across the country to claim asylum, etc.), and he's going to lift the tariffs and cry "SUCCESS."
If I'm wrong then I truly am afraid and we're all fucked and headed for another recession. -

Hope you are right. That's internally though. This moron has already started a trade war with Canada! Fucking Canada. I really hope Canada, UK, EU, AUS, maybe Japan, unite and put huge tariffs on his ass. What an imbecile.
But he did this already with Mexico and Canada the last time around and all he ended up doing was having the 3 countries sit down, and "renegotiate" NAFTA, but really all that happened was that they just renamed NAFTA
He's also grossly oversimplifying, he's going to just corner Canada and Mexico to agree to some last minute things to appease him and his supporters to make it seem like he's getting things done and say he saved us from tariffs. The U.S. depends on Canada and Mexico so much, it'd be like taking a jack hammer to the U.S. economy if he really went through with this, and even if he does, if he went through with it for a long period of time. This is all just typical populism. Rile up his simpleton fan base. Make them think he's getting things done. Keep them happy.Anyway, my thoughts are eloquent, but I'm not eloquent, so I asked AI to help me gather my thoughts to help explain this, and here it goes:
______
The US, Canada, and Mexico have deeply interconnected economies due to trade, investment, and supply chains. They are part of USMCA (formerly NAFTA), which allows for free trade between them, meaning goods and services flow with low or no tariffs. The US is the biggest trading partner for both Canada and Mexico, while Canada supplies the US with energy and raw materials, and Mexico provides manufacturing and labor-intensive goods. Many industries, like automotive and agriculture, rely on all three countries for parts, production, and sales. Changes in one economy—like inflation, labor costs, or policy shifts—affect the others. While the U.S. has a trade deficit with both Canada and Mexico, it also exports billions of dollars in goods and services to them, making them two of its biggest customers. The U.S. sells cars, machinery, technology, food products, and energy to both countries, fueling industries on all sides. For example, American farmers depend on Canada and Mexico to buy wheat, corn, and beef, while tech and industrial companies export equipment and software.
This partnership creates millions of American jobs in industries like manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, and technology. Auto parts made in the U.S. are shipped to Mexico for assembly and then sold back in the U.S., keeping factories running and workers employed. Canadian and Mexican investments in the U.S. also support jobs in sectors like energy, finance, and retail. Even with a trade deficit, the close economic ties with Canada and Mexico drive growth, boost wages, and strengthen U.S. businesses.
Despite these benefits, politicians like Trump and many Republicans oversimplify the trade deficit with Mexico and Canada, making it seem like the U.S. is simply losing money to these countries. In reality, trade is far more complex. The U.S. runs a deficit largely because American consumers and businesses choose to buy more from Mexico and Canada, often because goods are cheaper to produce there, keeping costs down for everyday Americans. It’s true that globalization and trade agreements have contributed to the loss of some U.S. manufacturing jobs, but simply imposing tariffs overnight without a real strategy isn’t the solution—it only raises costs for American businesses and consumers while straining relationships with key allies. A smarter approach would be to invest in worker retraining programs, advanced manufacturing, and policies that encourage businesses to expand in the U.S. rather than blindly treating trade as a zero-sum game. Framing the deficit as a one-sided loss ignores the economic reality of how global supply chains work and why trade with our neighbors is still crucial for the U.S. economy._____
His people know this and they aren't going to let him ruin the economy. They'll just let him put on his show and make him look like a hero to his minions.

I think we need to all take a deep breath and let the dust settle from the chaos of the executive orders to settle.
There’s going to be a wave of lawsuits and challenges that come out of that (example). Then the republicans will get to work to writing new laws and trying to update existing laws and then then that’s when we’ll see just how unified and evil they actually are (or are not) and whether or not we should be worried. I still think they’re a damn mess, they’re shit at writing legislation they all agree on and they’re just going to end up fighting internally, getting nothing done and failing these next two years.
this is me, the biggest negative Nancy being positive lol

Nah, don’t lose hope. These are all executive orders. None of it is permanent. The second his 4 years are over it’ll get undone. Democrats will be energized in 2 years, win back congress, and block that stupid whiny little vindictive bitch.
Also, the gop has a slim majority in congress. They’re going to get next to nothing done. These next two years. -
Trump is such a little bitch. This is all signature moves of an angry little bitch.

Hamas are using the Palestinian people to hide behind. They don't care if their own people are killed. And the Lebanon and Egypt aren't opening their borders to help because they regard them as dangerous too.
Ultimately, Hamas could surrender and return the hostages but they won't and are letting their own people die.
But gay people supporting the Palestinians need to understand they are supporting a culture that doesn't tolerate homosexuality and will not welcome them when this is over. However, Israel is a country very welcoming to gay people.
The anti-Semitism we're seeing is disgraceful. Jewish people aren't responsible for their Netanyahu's actions.
Dude, stop. You're sharing nothing new. You're exhausting. You say this like you're sharing something new and if like this makes GENOCIDE OKAY

They still don’t get how to play this game. Hell, I don’t even believe they are aware of what game is actually played. I agree, such useless tools.
Trump really didn’t have to do anything. He was going to win by default because that party is a damn mess with an identity crisis.
He stood for immigration control, better jobs, and anti-pc culture. Whether anyone agrees or not we all knew what his platform and message was.
Hate me all you want but I’m not mad at him at all this time around. I don’t even know what I feel. Exhausted? Over it? Maybe in my next life things will be a little better and humanity will be on the right track to a brighter future?

Agreed! And trust me. I don’t. But there’s always someone like a few comments ago who shares their unsolicited feedback or point of view in a tone that’s mocking, does not welcome discourse, and it’s extremely difficult for me to just sit there and not say anything.
Example, the other day a white, privileged gay guy who I’m sure voted for Trump randomly said “we should pour salt all over Palestine and Lebanon and just get it over with.”
That’s ok. The idea of an entire population starving to death is funny. Sassy even. But me saying anything remotely critical of a war criminal (ICC’s words, not mine) makes me a Jew hating, hitler loving anti-Semite.
Yay America.

So no the U.S. doesn’t directly drop the bombs, they just supply them and enable Israel to drop them while so much of the rest of the world has threatened Netanyahu that if he steps foot in their country they will arrest him for war crimes because they can’t do anything to stop him because of the u.s.’s backing yet you’re confused why Muslims and Palestinians didn’t vote for Kamala because they were so disillusioned and they’re just absolutely over it
