  1. You're right. She's not. She's even commented on this... how huge the overhead is.

I don't think this is going to be her last concert tour, she has a contract remember? I think it's for 4 tours which means she has 2 tours after this... unless Sticky & Sweet's legs counted as 2. Does anyone know the details.

In October of 2007, Madonna inked a deal with Live Nation estimated to be worth $120 million. According to Billboard, she’ll earn a base of $1 million per album from Interscope, starting with MDNA (three albums in total). She will still be collecting roughly $17 million advance for each of three albums ($50 to $60 million total) from her Live Nation deal through 2017. The deal also included a general advance of $17.5 million that she received in 2007 and $50 million in cash and stock for the right to promote her concert tours and to license her name (LN will give her 90% of concert sales and 50% of licensing money it collects).

I researched everywhere and could not find any article that claimed any number of tours she'd have to perform. They all state that it is 10 years and possibly 3 albums and the tours that would follow the albums. So, if there's no album, there's no tour. Now, there's a little bit less than five years until her contract expires so one can assume at least one more tour. But like I stated before, there is no proof that she is committed to having a certain amount of tours. Would anyone have any more details?

  2. OMG she didn't do the transgresion part??????

That really really sux, that's the best part of the show.

I don't know you guys but I feel next time she goes to Brasil and Chile is going to be a Lady Gaga sized FLOP.

I think that this will be her last major worldwide tour. She's never been this burned out. She will probably never put herself in this situation again. I have a feeling that next time she may go to Asia and do only a few show in Latin America, probably Brazil, Argentina and Mexico only (maybe Peru since she's never been there). She really doesn't need to tour for the money. She has one more left for her contract so she'll go on tour again but after that I have a feeling she'll be doing less shows for much more money in fewer markets; kind of like The Girlie Show. And before people get nasty, this is just a feeling I have. I hope I'm wrong but I'm thankful I got to experience her best tour ever.

  3. I have this theory that the second leg of S&S was to make up for the $$ she lost in her divorce. The record breaking was just a bonus. She herself said that being on tour and uber busy kept her sanity. Now there's no need to do it so I don't think we'll have MDNA2. In fact, she seems to have been dreading being on tour since the 2nd or 3rd show; yes, she still loves the stage and gives it all but on every interview she mentions how tired she is and how she hasn't done anything fun for a while.

I tend to think that Madonna is a creator more than a performer. I think she enjoys the conceptualization and preparation of a tour. Once it's created and she's performed a few times she is ready to come up with something else. She moves on. I bet she must be dying to write an album or make a movie or write a book... having to do the same show on tour for all these months must be driving her crazy.

  4. DUUUUUUUUUDDDDDE! Get a grip! LOL.

Its not the end of the world, and if she doesn't sell out next tour (which she WILL) then so be it.

Please stop trying to make M-Nation into madonnatribe. they have a forum over there you'd fit right in to. .

I think some hardcore fans fail to realize that Madonna is still selling concerts well in America because of casual fans. Superbowl sold this tour. If all of her true blue fans bought multiple tickets they still would not sell out arenas in most cities (bar NY probably, etc.). It's not the end of the world but that's how you slowly lose business (i.e. paying fans) over time. I wouldn't worry too much if this was a while ago when she was obviously still acquiring new fans but at this point, without a major hit or album, she's not really captivating a new batch of fans. I have a feeling that next tour will be more like RIT since that was a bit of damage control after AL and DWT, the latter being really criticized for not having more 80's hits.

  5. Period.

Wow, that looks awful. There's so many empty seats and the place looks tiny on camera. I understand that problems happen but I'm sure that half of the people would not have left if someone took the mic and annouced that there were glitches and apologized. I don't mind waiting if I know the reason why I have to wait. But to just sit there and wait, wait, wait... it would piss anyone off. Maybe next time they can schedule the concert for 6:30 so she can actually start at 9:30.... yeah, right.

  6. I wonder what the single releases would have been like if Bucket wasn't the lead single. Probably Turn Up The Radio followed by Girl Gone Wild Wild followed by Superstar.

Honestly, I think it should have gone:

    Gang Bang

    Girl Gone Wild

    I'm Addicted

Turn Up The Radio at the Superbowl would have been a much bigger hit than Top 10 in America. I would have chosen Love Spent for 2nd single because it defines the album. Gang Bang could have been the throw away 3rd single no one buys but it would have had an amazing video and remixes and it would've become the HN of this era. GGW should have been the Candy Shop of this era. Tour opener but not a single.

  7. Doesn't change what I said. She's been getting bad press for 6 or 7 years now. You were saying the same EXACT thing in 2008, I haven't forgotten :chuckle: Big deal. At least this time they were talking about her music/ tour (indirectly as it may have been) and not adoptions, divorces, or plastic surgery. And getting on the news for protesting about Pussy Riot or Marine Le Pen are not bad things. This year has only been bad for Madonna if you disliked her to begin with. I think it's been a fantastic, brave, and very relevant year for her.

    Couldn't agree more.

  8. "I was being ironic on stage. Yes, I know Obama is not a Muslim - though I know that plenty of people in this country think he is. And what if he were?

"The point I was making is that a good man is a good man, no matter who he prays to. I don't care what religion Obama is - nor should anyone else in America," she said.

I wonder if she cares that Romney is Mormon. Anyway, the evangelicals are gonna have a tough time deciding... Haha

NEW YORK (AP) — Two tornadoes struck New York City on Saturday, one swept out of the sea and hit a beachfront neighborhood and the second, stronger twister hit moments later, hurling debris in the air, knocking out power and startling residents who once thought of twisters as a Midwestern phenomenon.

Videos taken by bystanders showed a funnel cloud sucking up water, then sand, and then small pieces of buildings, as the first moved through the Breezy Point section of the Rockaway peninsula in Queens.

The second hit west, in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn also near the water, about seven minutes later. The National Weather Service said winds were up to 110 miles per hour, and several homes and trees were damaged.

    TORNADONNA!

  10. So it's 3 minutes to 3AM and I just to my hotel in NYC. I missed my train because she was soooo late (but she apologized) so I had to drive all the way here after missing my turn and driving all around Trenton for nothing. But it was worth it!! The show was great and I'll review it more tomorrow. Just some quick things...

@ 10:23 the crowd started booing... it happened about three times

    @ 10:26 the show starts

as stated before there were no changes except I notice Mitt Romney on the "NKM" interlude, no AC, DJ something Luke opened, she showed her derriere, laughed a bit after the corsette's string snapped in LAV, mentioned Pussy Riot in her speech which was funny and not too preachy, missed miming a few lyrics in Celebration, show ended a bit over midnight, crowd wasn't as good as S&S but I think it had to do with show being more theater than concert.....

The place was completely full. I could only see about 5 to 6 seats vacant per section at most.

If you can make it to a show in America and in an arena, DO IT. There were no bad seats in the house (maybe only the very top ones) the stage looked so much smaller than on the pictures... but it was huge (I know it doesn't make sense); the catwalk finished almost halfway the arena it was so big... aaaaahhhh... I gotta sleep... I have to work in a few hours!

    Good day!

  11. TUTR is classic Madonna pop.

Love Spent will hold its own with time.

Masterpiece is a classic Madonna ballad type.

Gang Bang can go the way of Human Nature, a classic less known song.

Falling Free is just beautiful and would hold its own.

I'm afraid everything else will feel dated in a while even though I love IDGA and IAS.

Could I'm Addicted be M's "I Feel Love" and sound futuristic for decades?

  12. So, I've got tickets to Philly and I am really anxious to find out if there will be any changes. I really would like Love Spent. Does anyone think she'll change anything like costumes, hair, songs, interludes?? Oh, and who's going? Do you think there will be a lot of press since it's the first show in America?
