I'm afraid Madonna has long passed the stage of "youth relevancy". Obviously, that's not to say with each era she hasn't gained younger fans, because even just seeing some of the posters here come and go over the years, it's clear she always attracts some younger fans. However, her days of MASS youth appeal have been gone for many many many years.....she hasn't been a "teen queen" arguably since the early 90's. I was in high school when ROL came out and.....maybe it's just the crowd I hung around.....lol.....but nobody gave a shit about that album in my age group. In fact, a few of my friends who were fans through BS, had no interest in Evita and when ROL hit, they just thought she lost it and went all Euro/techno. Honestly, if I didn't read magazines, or pay attention to sales, I would've had no idea ROL was as big as it was because nobody in my world liked it. I even tried to get my Mom into at that time (who liked quite a bit of M's work) and she was just like "ehhh".
Madonna is beyond the "make it or break it" point when it comes to her single releases. If it's a hit, she's gonna release the album and go on a massive world tour and sell out all over the world....then on to the next project. If it's a flop, she's gonna release the album and go on a massive world tour selling out all over the world.....then on to the next project. Her future isn't dependent on the performance of her next single (or album for that matter). Even if she never has another hit, she will always be releasing music and touring until SHE chooses to stop.

it would be great if after all this time they found their way back to each other but i'm not getting hopes up.
They obviously still care for each other deeply and we can't begin to understand their relationship so we just need to wait and see what unfolds if anything.

I love certain Xmas albums but it's not a format I'd like to see her pursue. She obviously views it as something for has-beens and ass kissers. Madonna fancies herself a revolutionary and revolutionaries don't make Xmas albums. Besides, we wouldn't want Esther to be shunned at the Kabbalah Center

The song they are listening to is I heard it through the grapevine.... 2014 is Marvin Gaye's death 30th anniversary... I think that something might be' coming up. Maybe the rumors of madonna covering the song are true after all!
