  1. This tour and the Confessions Tour are my two favorite tours. Sticky and Sweet is like Confessions' less artistic, younger brother. The tour and Hard Candy made it seem like she just wanted to have a good time after going through such a problematic time in her life, and I was there to enjoy the ride. No, this tour will never be considered her best, but I wouldn't be able to understand it being considered her worst OR her most boring> It's not for everyone, but it has a sense of undeniable energy to it.

Some changes I would've made to it:

Switch Music and 4 Minutes. Music would've made much more sense in the rave section than 4 Minutes does, plus that football gear part of costume should have never been there. 4 Minutes also could have used a boosted, energetic performance.

Tweak the Beat Goes On/Vogue outfit. The granny panties pimp look just wasn't very great. She should have made it a full leotard and done something else with that little material thing that was over it.

Think of that Frozen performance sooner. Although I am one of the few that liked it, Hung Up didn't work and the Frozen performance was epic.

Human Nature: Drop the guitar and dance! When you watch the DVD, this performance kills the momentum of the first segment. Luckily, Vogue picks it up again, but either way, this one can be painful to watch.

That said though, Sticky and Sweet does contain many spots of greatness.

I felt like Candy Shop was a great entrance, especially when segued to another fun performance of Beat Goes On. Vogue was visually beautiful and ACTUALLY sung live. The Die Another Day video interlude is one of her best this decade, at least in my opinion. Into The Groove is all sorts of fun and it was a great way to reinvent the song. Heartbeat is nothing special but nice. She's Not Me and Music are full of so much energy and are two of my favorite performances of this tour. Devil Wouldn't Recognize You is perhaps the most beautiful performance of this tour. The water/rain backdrop is PERFECT when they have those wideshots. Spanish Lesson breathed new life into the song and Miles Away was just beautiful. La Isla Bonita was just an explosion of colors and was soooo interesting to look at. You Must Love Me and Don't Cry For Me Argentina are cute and not really boring, surprisingly. Get Stupid is a great interlude. For some reason, I actually enjoyed this rendition of Ray of Light MUCH more than the Confessions Tour one. Like A Prayer is godly and her dancing in Give It 2 Me is great and harks back to the beginning years.

    I just love this tour.

  2. When I was growing up through school, I had no friends, or anyone I could talk to about my problems (and especially about my sexuality), I felt terribly alone and suicidal due to the fact I hated myself for being gay.

I had always liked Madonna's music here and there but all I had heard were the hits at that point. However this all changed in 2003 when I heard the song Love Profusion, I heard it on the radio on my way from school where I just had one of the worst experiences I ever had (someone had spray painted the words "cock sucker" on my locker). The song changed my life, I had fallen in love with it, I was surprised when I googled it to find out it was Madonna.

From then I became obsessed, I got a hold of all of Madonna's albums and concerts, I would listen and watch over and over. She taught me how to be proud of myself, how to be strong and how to not take shit from anyone. It's because of her that I had the courage to come out to my parents, and to everyone in school and not care what anyone else said or thought about me. She saved my life.

I'm 22 now, and could not picture my life without Madonna and her music, I still remember the first time I heard Love Profusion and will always remember it. I wanted to share this experience with all the other Madonna fans here and to read about your first experience listening or hearing a Madonna song or watched a Madonna video, and how she has affected your life.

    Thanks for reading.

:inlove: Aww, what an amazing story. I'm very glad you heard Love Profusion. :)

I'll be back with my story in a bit, I have an essay to write.

  3. Let's hope she hasn't forgotten how to do those special yoga moves - otherwise the title will be more like Britney's "Flick yourself one more time" :lmao:

Haha I so was not thinking of that title in a perverted manner, but now that I do, it only makes it much more fitting. Instead, it should be Eat Yourself [Out] by Madonna's new drag queen persona Connie Lingus. :wow:

  4. Pretty much all Goldfrapp song titles ever conceived would make good Madonna album titles I think.

    Here's Supernature:

    01. Ooh La La

    02. Lovely 2 C U

    03. Ride a White Horse

    04. You Never Know

    05. Let It Take You

    06. Fly Me Away

    07. Slide In

    08. Koko

    09. Satin Chic

    10. Time Out from the World

    11. Number 1

Hopefully she'll title the next album "Eat Yourself." :wow:

  5. I guess apart from her first album and Confessions, all the other titles were from a namesake single (including Candy Shop of Hard Candy)

She will never title it something bombastic The Queen or Madjestic or something, which could actually be fun and cheeky :)

I always liked Tongue and Groove for a dance album

Cheeky would be a fun album title.
