  1. how can someone be critical with your drawing? it's very well done and you perfectly translated into paper the description of her look for the photoshoot! bravo!!

Because it was done in like fifteen minutes and looks crappy?

Thank you for the compliments, but I will try to redo it again later on tonight and make it look better.

  2. I was watching E! earlier today and they mentioned Madonna's performance at the Super Bowl. They supposedly had an online poll asking something like "Are you excited to see Madonna performing at next year's Super Bowl?" and a surprising amount of 74 percent answered no. Had me wondering if some little monsters had ravaged the poll, cuz that sort of response from a place like E! is kinda shocking. Even my casual fan mom was like what?

  3. I'd love 14 tracks plus 2 bonus traks AND a commercial for the Super Bowl...idk how true any of it is, but seems possible except for the comparisons of older images&sounds...that's yet to be seen until promo begins.

It seems like elements of it could be true, like the number of tracks, the Super Bowl commercial thing, but it just seems like this site was trying to come up with exclusives like Madonna Tribe, Madonnarama, and that Drowned one. ESPECIALLY this:

Girls Gone Wild has Like a Prayer album elements.

    :D

  4. The only person Nicki Minaj has ever dissed is Lil' Kim. She never dissed Cher. In her tweet, she simply asked Cher to stop.

    And it's NICKI people. Nicki.

Having her on the song doesn't guarantee that the song will have much better chances at radio. If one thing is for certain, it'll broaden the appeal of the song to fans of all three singers, in the same way that the Till The World Ends remix with Nicki and Ke$ha did.

  5. Okay, I have a question now -

If "Give me All your Love" isn't representative of the album, then isn't it a risk to release it as the first single, especially given the negative reaction to the demo? Wouldn't it be better to be release one of the lesser radio friendly tracks on the album since people are hoping for something less generic from her anyway? Plus it will be more representative of the album. And it will probably get her better reviews.

Oh I don't know. I'm just speculating now..

Well, firstly, I would say that it's more fair to say that the reaction to the demo was "mixed." For every positive review that the demo received there was a negative one. Even here on MNation, the demo received a lot more three to four star ratings than five or two/one/zero star ratings in that one thread.

Secondly, I would think the aim of making one of the songs more radio friendly is to score a hit. 4 Minutes wasn't exactly representative of Hard Candy as a whole, but it was definitely one of the most, if not THE most, singleworthy songs on the album. Born This Way and We Found Love aren't exactly representative of their respective albums, but they're each radio friendly and seemingly crafted to cater to the single-buying market. GMAYL could end up being that (assuming all of what G_O_N_E says is true).

  6. Quoting from AbsoluteMadonna....

According to G_O_N_E's latest posts in the DrownedMadonna forum, all songs for the new album have been recorded by now, but no final decisions have been made as regards track selection and order. "Give Me Your Love" is the only song off the new album that was written with mainstream radio in mind - the overall sound is very different not only from anything Madonna ever recorded before, but also from anything out there at the moment.

There are quite a few producers involved - some of them haven't been mentioned by anyone thus far. (It seems that William Orbit, Martin Solveig, Jean-Baptiste, Benny Benassi and Guy Sigsworth are all on board, possibly also Hardy Muanza.)

In terms of promotion, Live Nation wants this album to stay in the charts until after the tour is over.

  7. The other day this girl I follow on Twitter quoted her dad in a tweet that said something like "When you hear a Madonna song, you just have to dance!" I think this is representative of how the general public feels about her. I'm sure she had that in mind when her and Martin created this incredible catchy and fun song. Can you not imagine hundred of different people jamming to this on their drives home from work? I totally could.

I think another thing that hurts this song is that there's nothing to help boost perceptions about it. There isn't a video, a performance, artwork, or general concept of the direction she's going for with this album yet. I think this aspect is really key to how anyone experiences a Madonna song. How often do you hear people say "The video/performance made me like this song"? Unfortunately, this is a result of having such an early leak.

  8. I don't think anyone has any reason to be "freaking out." Whether you think the DEMO is great or shit, there's still an album's worth of material to count on. If the LAP video, SEX book, American Life song/video/album, CT crucifixion, adoptions, etc. could not finish her, then I doubt one light, poppy, tailor-made-for-radio song will end it all. For all the bad that this song's received, there's just as much good.

I'm inclined to believe this is a joke thread, but some people are really treating 'Give Me All Your Love' as if it marks the end of something. Talk about dramatic.

@Abraham, both Guy O. and Martin Solveig have said it's the demo version.
