What the fuck is happening.

At this point the US is a joke to non-Americans. The presidency is basically a reality show. Bill Clinton was almost impeached for "lying" to the American public and now you've got a President who does nothing but lie. I saw a meme the other day that said Trump should just say he built a wall across the border because his supporters would believe it anyway and it would be cheaper.

The irony that the forums biggest proponent for free speech has so many people on his ignore list.

The US and Australia have a very close cooperation between their militaries. There is a permanent rotation of 2,500 Marines based in Darwin and Australia is a key strategic ally in the Asia Pacific region. They engage in war games annually and Australia supports the US Defence industry with extensive foreign military sales worth billions of dollars. The joint strike fighter project is one example. Australia also committed troops to the Middle East during the original conflict and continues to play a significant role in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think they currently have around 1,000-1,500 members deployed right now supporting the coalition forces. At the UN, they always support the US and vote in the interest of the diplomatic relationship - particularly when it comes to Israel.
While Australians might not completely support the current government, they will not appreciate being disrespected by a supposed ally. I think the majority of Australians will be pissed off over this incident so I wouldn't be surprised if it increase anti-US sentiments here.

He better not start fucking with Australia. 😡😡😡

I for one don't see how this temporary restriction will make the US much better off.
I thought the same thing a few years ago when a relative in my extended family had some serious visa trouble and wasn't allowed into the US because he'd visited Iraq for two months. Anyway..
When I saw this huge cry out about the Trump admin has done it jogged my memory so I looked it up.
Obama signed the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act as part of an omnibus spending bill. The legislation restricted access to the Visa Waiver Program, which allows citizens from 38 countries who are visiting the United States for less than 90 days to enter without a visa.
In February 2016, the Obama administration added Libya, Somali and Yemen to the list of countries one could not have visited — but allowed dual citizens of those countries who had not traveled there access to the Visa Waiver Program. Dual citizens of Syria, Sudan, Iraq and Iran are still ineligible, however.
So…wait. Trump signed an executive order enforcing an Obama policy?
If you can't differentiate between the two policies I'm not surprised you voted for Trump.

The USSR has invaded the US and they didn't even need to fire a shot.

I find it a bit dubious that people believe the US will stop "meddling" in world affairs under Trump considering he has proposed investing something like an additional $450billion into the military. That's a lot of money to invest for them not to be involved in world conflicts.

The bar is now set so low that anything he does manage to succeed with will be considered a major achievement.

There are a lot of countries want Trump to win.
hilary harmed a lot of nations under Obama's administration & didnt play it good.
Daech/ISIS announced they want her to win. This alone is scary!
a lot of ppl are suffering from the high cost of dollar.
How the LGBT rights will be effected all of sudden??? How this can be true , doesnt america established strong rules? You guys r talking like its a 3rd world country. Where a new president come he changes the constitution to remain in power.
Trump will elect a new Supreme Court judge. Possibly two which will make it conservative majority. It's not just LGBTI like gay marriage that can potentially be repealed but abortion rights, obamacarr etc. basically anything the court has voted on and passed.

Might happen when Russia invades the Baltic states.
I feel like this is where we are heading. I think this election result will embolden Russia and we'll see similar situations in other EU countries as what happened in Ukraine. Assad will be the key ally in the Middle East and it'll be interesting to see how the other Arab countries respond. Germany and France seem to be powderkegs. How China responds will be interesting but I think they'll also start muscling in on Asian territories.

Next: World War III

I actually can't comprehend this is happening.
-
I can't believe this is real life.
-
I think we'all see more of this. There's no need for any of his claims to be genuine just as long as he makes them. This way his supporters will turn around and use this as "evidence" of fraud and corruption in the election.

I'm getting worried. I think this might be a "Brexit" style victory for Trump. God help us all.

Yuck at Trump stans trending #repealthe19th on twitter today
People are so fucked. How do they justify repealing the 19th amendment but god forbid any changes are made to the 2nd amendment?!

Love Spent sounds like a troll to me too because s/he keeps making digs at people or outright attacking them and then plays all coy and writes it off as just joking around. That or they're just a cunt.

Aussies and Brits have very similar sense of humours and sarcasm like that gets us into trouble.
-
Clearly my sarcasm doesn't translate well. How anyone can consider voting for Trump blows my mind but apparently there are people who are.
Anyway I was just adding to the mess this thread has become. #sqautandshoot

I really like Trump's ban on Muslims coming into the country but what's he going to do about all of them that were born there?

Americans have a different system of government to Australia.

The attention seekers are back. Oh no.
The loud ones always seem to say very little of substance. Best to just ignore them.

Are you implying that a transgendered person would feel something sexual by using the same bathroom as someone from the opposite birth gender? Because if that's the case what bathroom do you expect homosexuals to use? Likewise what bathroom do you expect a transgendered female, who looks completely female and doesn't have a "macho" physique to use?
