I feel like some of the rumoured names are a bit too obvious or lazy. I get she’s referring to it as COADF Pt 2 but I’d much prefer any actual references on the new album are only subtle. A continuation of the vibe and feeling of the original yet the new album be its own thing. I don’t want to be comparing the songs like “oh this is the GT of pt 2 or this is the Sorry.”

I’m not sure. Danceteria sounds a bit too cheesy to me. I feel like this is the stuff we make fun of Gaga for. Like covering The Joker for the Joker soundtrack. Plus she already visited the era/theme on CT. It’s a bit repetitive.
Ultimately she can call it whatever though, I just want a great first single. HU was so big and has become so loved that I feel like it’s going to be a massive task to match it.

Violence is not the answer and I don’t support murdering people you disagree with politically. What is sad is that he was part of the reason for the rise in political violence and division, not just in the US but all around the world. He stoked so much hate and anger it’s no surprise this is becoming more common. It also gives Trump more justification to go after liberals/democrats/people who don’t agree with him.

One of the issues with Madame X was there wasn’t really a track for the clubs. God Control is a great song but don’t people want o be dancing in a club to an anti gun song? A great sampled like Gimme would be great but only if it builds on the original. I think Hung Up worked cos it was a great song on its own. She posted the reel on Insta of her dancing and singing along to Finally by Cece Peniston for example. That’s such an iconic song that is still well known that I feel would be hard to build on. Gimme worked because I think there was a generation that weren’t that familiar with it.

Might sound lame but I’d love for her to revisit an androgyny theme. Tailored suiting with a feminine influence. Power suits/1995 gucci. Mixed with golden age Hollywood glamour. I’m a bit tired of the Gen Z oversized 90s vibe. It’s a terrible trend that is going to age badly. Let’s see curves again. Also Im a bit over the lingerie looks. Nothing to do with her age but I don’t think it connects with the general public and it’s feeling repetitive.

I get people saying they don’t want features and my question wasn’t really regarding a feature with the purpose of helping her with streaming a la Gaga/Bruno. I was more saying that there’s bound to be a feature(s) so which artists would you be interested in hearing. She’s had some questionable collabs - tokischa, Sam smith, the ones on the frozen remix etc. so if she does have a feat who would potentially be an interesting collab. I think some people got it

Given the last few albums there’s bound to be some features on the new album. While I haven’t hated her previous collabs it would be great to see her work with some new artists. Personally I’m good without another Nicki feature. Who would you like to hear? A few I think would be interesting -
* Romy or Oliver (from The XX) - I think they have great voices and I’m a huge The XX fan. I’d love some Jamie remixes too but something with the vibe of Loud Places or Stranger in a Room with Madonna’s deeper register could be epic.
* Orville Peck - he worked with Kylie and Diplo which was ok. He’s got a bit of a cult following and country is pretty popular currently (ref Morgan Wallen & Luke Combs). There was a track back in the day (Switch - A Bit Patchy) that sampled Apache by Incredible Bongo Band. It’s been sampled a few times already but I could see something along those lines.
* Charlie XCX - Could be hit or miss but BRAT was huge and I think they could compliment each other. I was a bit disappointed she wasn’t on Charlie’s remix album.* Tame Impala - A bit random but they did a song with Justice (One Night/All Night). I feel like Madonna’s spoken vocals would compliment on a track with them and could be a banger.

Definitely please with the result! I was unsure if the predictions of a Labor win would be accurate. I definitely wasn’t expecting they would do so well. Great to see Dutton lose his seat and also Michael Sukkar and Max Chandler-Mather. If we’re lucky Adam Bandt will also lose his seat. Still blows my mind the usual suspects in the LNP still don’t get it. Apparently they lost because they aren’t conservative enough!

It truly blows my mind that this is what the US has devolved to. Like it is so fucking dumb and so ridiculous that it’s hard to even believe it is real life. What is even worse is seeing the how much republicans, trump supporters and the media are normalising what is happening. Social media is filled with declarations of the USA is back. The USA is winning. Everything is perfect and amazing. The rest of the world is horrified.

Also pretty sure she’s used Dirty Cash as music for a previous reel too. Great song. Maybe it’s a sign of the direction of the album?

That’s exactly my point though. The perception people have is they were better under Trump because they were. But it had nothing to do with him. Inflation and cost of living are a result of COVID and various other factors and are effecting everyone globally. But the average voter isn’t smart enough to understand that. Exactly same thing is playing out in Australia. The government released the latest economic data showing increase in GDP and inflation at 2.1%. The economy is recovering and doing great under Albo but voters aren’t experiencing those benefits yet. (Or if you read the comments most people don’t even believe the data and just claim they’re made up figures). Interest rates are still high so the voters are blaming Labor. Then add a complicit media who take any chance to beat up the PM. Just look at the reporting about the Qantas upgrades. Meanwhile everyone in the Coalition got the same benefits and media has been largely silent. Bridget McKenzie who was on every news program attacking Albo just admitted she got 16 upgrades herself. The hypocrisy is outstanding and the media just gloss over it.

Personally I think it just comes down to cost of living and inflation. The perception is that people had it easier under Trump. The Dems have been blamed for it though and one actually listens or believes the facts anymore so they were unable to change the narrative. Also immigration and the border played a big factor.
A second Trump presidency is going to be 10000% times worse than his first. It’s going to be a shit show.

The media bias was astonishing as it was across the board. I’ve been a reader of The Age for a while so it’s been disappointing seeing it slowly turn into Herald Sun lite. They even had the nerve to claim at the start of the election they would avoid the typical negative campaigning and would report only on the issues that truly mattered to people.
Anyhow I’m definitely happy with the result but it was concerning some of the members who were elected in some safe liberal seats. But it is laughable that they think they lost because they aren’t far right enough. Like that’s what left/centrist people were elected. So bizarre but it will hopefully mean the libs continue to be irrelevant in Victoria.

While the idea of a royal family is outdated in 2022, I can’t help but like it myself. The pomp and ceremony is entertaining. The sense of history and tradition is interesting.
I don’t know why it’s so controversial to like or admire the queen. She gave 70 years of service to public life. I don’t worship her but I deeply respect her and I was sad when she died. It will be no different to when Madonna dies.

As an Australian I can confirm the Queen was hugely popular in Australia. Even amongst republicans she was well liked and respected.

Voted yesterday. I'm unsure if Labor will get over the line. People are stupid. I feel like it'll be a Trump style win and if that's the case then we deserve every shit thing that will happen as a country.

The US is honestly on another planet. The whole country is unhinged. Between this and QAnon, conspiracies, election fraud claims, Fox News, the whole country is fucked. I feel like they’ve gone up over the edge and there is no saving it. Imagine it being 2022 and legislation regarding interracial marriage or access to birth control is even up for discussion. What the fuck.
