Avicii has some killer tracks but the hype around him has died down considerably. He is pretty mainstream now and I doubt his sound will be the hot thing by the end of the year. Yeah the kids love him at EDM festivals but half of them don't even know who the fuck they are listening to they are that high. And being a DJ and mixing lots of different artists is not the same as producing consistently good work as a producer. I'd be interested in a one off track for HIS album but a whole album with him would be overkill. And I actually really liked his remix of GGW.
I'm not saying I don't want her to work with "mainstream" artists and she has to find some underground DJ or do an album of ballads. I would just rather she finds someone a little more inspiring than Avicii.

Nah I know she wasn't singing live for most of the SB, but I'm pretty sure she sang LAP live. I could be wrong though but it sounded live to me. My comment about the SB was more in regards to just giving us a kick ass performance. Wasn't related to my nervousness about vocals.

There is nothing wrong with being patriotic on Australia Day! I'm kind of getting annoyed with all these people trying to push invasion day bullshit and white guilt onto modern Australians. I also find it sad that second and third generation "wog" kids grow up with more pride about the countries of their grandparents and parents than the country that has given them so much opportunity. I'm FIRST gen aussie and have actually visited the places of my parents birth and you know what? They are shit holes. I'm so grateful to have been born and raised here. That said like San, growing up Australia day was never a big thing, it's only growing into adulthood that I've really come to appreciate just how great this country is! Happy Australia Day!
On a side note does it piss anyone else off that we can't get In Bed With Madonna on DVD/Bluray? Like seriously WTF?!?!
