  1. I'm not really a fan of instrumentals but I'm really liking the clip. It definitely sounds like a Madonna track. It has a great vibe and a "happy" sound. If it's not her good luck to which ever artist it is. It does sound pretty great.

A June release would be awesome!! If she is touring Australia in 2015 it will have to be Jan/Feb. For her to put the album out and put a show together you'd think she'd have to release the album in August or at the latest early September.

If she does release it in November then I think Aus will miss out on the tour again.

(If this is her and is an idea of the direction the album will go in then I can't wait!!!)

    :)

  2. The people she is working with seem to be pretty impressed by her work in the studio. They seem to be showing a lot of love and respect for her. I had the impression that Diplo didn't really like her but they seem to have hit it off. I'm really looking forward to hearing what they've all come up with. Hopefully the album is a killer, she seems to have put a lot of work into it!

  3. I really don't get people like this. Good you don't really like her why be a cunt about it. I think it just makes them look stupid in the end. Elton John is another good example. Surely his own fans get embarrassed at his outbursts. And isn't it funny how Madonna doesn't really talk shit about others anymore. Honestly I can't even the remember the last time she was a cunt to someone famous. Even during the Elton shit she was just "Oh well."

  4. I know a lot of people are having a go but I do agree for the most part. It's not so much that she sounds "bad" but I think her voice does lack the warmth from her earlier days. Could be any number of reasons but I don't think it's simply because she is older because she seems to revert back to it when she sings old songs. PDP and OYH on MDNAT are good examples. Compare them to how she sings GGW, which sounds a lot more nasal and high pitched. I think TUTR is also a good example of how she uses her voice differently on newer material. Honestly to me she sounds shocking singing it live, it's almost like she is trying to sound "operatic."

One reason I think her voice has changed is because her speaking accent has broadened over the years. She seems to over-emphasize on certain words and really puts effort in pronouncing words correctly which gives her the "crow" vocals. Like when she sings "love" she seems to sing "laaaarrve" rather than "luurrve." Plus her more recent music she seems to sing at a higher pitch than her earlier work. Compare the vocals on I'm a Sinner with Like a Prayer and you can definitely hear it. I'm not entirely sure why she's done that but I can't help but think it's to sounds "technically" better. Personally though I think it makes her sound "whiny" on certain songs. Especially like on Candy Shop when she sings "Get up out of your seat, come on up to the dance floor..." and pretty much all of I Fucked Up.

It's funny though on MDNAT when she sings GMAYL she sounds so much better than the album version and I think it's partly because she's using her older style of singing.

Anyway feel free to disagree as I'm sure most people will. I still like the new stuff but I do miss that older sound of her voice.

  5. And I love that she based the whole thing on Memoir of a Geisha and used the elements that was mentioned in the book - wood and water .

All 4 elements are represented in the video. The guy twirling the fire and the water in the bag that she holds.

It's one of her best videos and songs. Disappointed it didn't do better on the charts. I thought the Grammy performance was pretty awesome too.

  6. It wasn't bad. Her vocals were great and she looked good. She not a Miley fan though.

On a side note I find it frustrating that whenever Madonna performs with younger artists it's always all about how she is trying to win new fans and how desperate she is to perform with the "hot" new artist. Yet no one ever questions or thinks about what an honor it would be for someone like Miley to perform with a legend. Thinking logically who do you think approached who? I'd wager Madonna is the one who gets asked to perform not her running around desperately trying to find people who'll give her a break and allow HER to perform with them.

Nor do any other artists cop shit when they perform with young artists. No one said Rolling Stones were desperate performing with Gaga. No one said that country dude was desperate performing with Willie Nelson at the Grammy's. Yet there is always a double standard for Madonna. Not just this but anything she does. Angelina adopts a black kid and she's a savior, Madonna adopts a kid and she is a monster who is simply using her wealth to buy kids. I don't really give a shit if people don't like her but the hypocrisy is so annoying sometimes.

  7. The vocals were good and I actually think she sounded GREAT singing the last bit of Same Love. I enjoyed the country-inspired sound of OYH too. (Dolly collaboration in the future? :)) The whole wedding thing was a bit cheesy though. I seem to be the only one who thought she looked awesome too, cane and all. Also I thought it was clever they juxtaposed the bible belt/country theme with a song about marriage equality.
