  1. i love madonna as much as the next gay, but come on girl, let someone else right some lyrics for you! i am sick to death of every song being "don't hesistate, dont wait, celebrate, dont be late etc etc etc" !! its been her stable since COAD for god's sake! what happened to all her good lyrics, like Music and Frozen, American life! Lyrically, American Life was a brilliant record. DO SOMETHING NEW MADONNA! PLEASE!!!

    I agree with this.

  2. since dance and electro pop is somewhat welcome on US radio again thx to the Lady GaGas etc..even if this song is epic, flawless (which the gut is tellin me it may be), the ONLY reason it wouldnt get played is cause its M - very simple!

I'm really hoping after MJ's death Madonna will have become a Classic Great One in the eyes of the media, and it'll bring her some success in the US. It won't last forever, of course, but if the GH and her next album are big hits, that would be great.

  3. I think it needs to be said that US radio shouldn't be entirely written off in regards to this song, just yet. It's possible that this could be her Believe. She's older, it's Euro sounding, but if it's good enough, it will find a way.

And I might even put a bit of stock in the "Post-Michael Effect" on the public consciousness that could help a song by Madonna along.

She needs to go on the X Factor and promote the arse off it. It has the potential to MASSIVE!

    :lmao:

  4. From listening to the clip, i almost expected Madonna to break out in a chorus of "rhythm is a dancer" or "everybody's freeeeeeee to feel good." It's totally dated sounding. Oakenfold took the frozen early-mid 90s scraps of Pettibone, Morales, Cole & Clivilles and tried to turn it into a casserole. I'm surprised Martha Wash isn't singing the hook!!! Tell ya what tho: IF it hits #1 on the H100, I wont say another bad word about it!

The worst part is that Oakenfold referred to it multiple times as "cutting edge"...maybe he was being ironic?

  5. Oh, and again.

 I wonder what the reactions here would be if the full song was really just the demo repeated over and over again for three minutes...

  6. From the 18 Seconds of the clip I must say I am happy with it for one main reason; She sounds happy  for her last few albums her singles have all sounded rather unhappy ( I cant think of the correct word lol). It's nice to hear Madonna sounding happy. (Only LP & GT had a more happy vibe but even then...)

Maybe getting rid of Guy will have a profoundly good effect on what she comes up with next. An album filled with songs that express a feeling of freedom and joy would be most welcome.

  7. Well, at least "Revolver" is on the GH as well, and by all accounts sounds similar to the leaked demo. So, I'm well and truly psyched for that.

"Celebrate" is fine, it's just inconsequential. Cute idea to reference her older lyrics (not that she doesn't already have a history of doing that, come to think of it), but I wish she would've gone whole hog with it and done a whole Burroughsian cut-up approach. Using lines from all her songs, reconfiguring and repurposing them. Like what Neil Tennant did with Bowie's "Space oddity" lyrics in the PSB remix for "Hallo spaceboy."

    Completely agree.

And Madonna should be banned from using the word 'waiting' in any new future songs. It's becoming like a lyrical crutch for her.
