I too believe it could be for the album artwork as I personally think the album is in the can and will be released in November.
I think the same. I believe the album will be released in November. Not only because I can't live without M's new music anymore, but also because Arianne Phillips said few days ago, that she would reunite with M working on her new movie soon. If the album would be shelved until spring, the movie production would start next summer at earliest.

Madonna's been unpredictable for many times in her career. If she want to release the record this years, she will. If next year, she will. But at least she could give us some hint what to expect.

I still think the album will drop in 4th quarter of this year.
I still believe too. I think Madonna will go a different direction this time. She had material for 2 albums when recording Rebel Heart. And she was recording with songwriters camps, which is something she is not doing this time, as far as I think. I still have a feeling the record is almost done.

Of course the music will come first. It would be highly illogical to stop now, shelved the tracks she recorded with Mirwais, Billboard and Starrah and whoever, film new movie, prpduce it and promote it and then rerurn to those old songs again. Believe it. The music will comes first. When Madonna said she would be back this year, she was not speaking about a film.
