    Tick Tock....

The only mentally sane, competent, elegant yet simple and straightforward in UK politics of recent years

I wonder why the other three nations have seen far less undesirable consequences in comparison to England, especially Scotland of course

The national sanitary committee that the Johnson Cabinet had appointed was obviously for the most part made by corrupts, incompetents and professional liars. The herd immunity craziness started with them, like the choice to close down airports three weeks later than any other European country

Even the former head of public health for the UK seven months ago had already serious doubts about their curriculum, why it wasn't possible to review their careers. Kind of like the unbreakable clouds of mystery surrounding the untouchable Cummings

The Victoria Derbyshire show has been axed funnily enough. The news arm of the BBC is chock full of Tories and government appointed officials. No one should watch the BBC for news. What was once a public service broadcaster is now a state controlled broadcaster. Watch Channel 4 news if you must, but even that has its own neo-liberal issues in it's reportage.

On Corona, any Brit should probably watch NIcola Sturgeon's daily briefing to get the proper grown-up advice (the UK govt cancelled its briefings weeks ago) and follow THIS account -

I have followed the axing case. She was quite upset, rightly so. She pointed out that it was the BBC itself that asked her to enlarge their digital audience and she did and that she broke thought provoking stories etc. Thanks for the advice on channel 4

Careful with official studies. They are working full throttle on treatments and vaccines and sharing all info. For the first time, studies are being published without peer review. Of course the official sources are the only things we have but it seems that many papers are being published without enough trials, time and reviews.

Besides there are HUGE financial interests behind all of it not to mention geopolitical strategizing etc. A little dose of wariness is of the essence

Predictably, parts of England go back into lockdown after a spike in cases. No surprise when they opened up again FAR TOO SOON.

    Pathetic really

Just as pathetic as the UK government's attempts to make it look like they are doing anything tangible for the population and comparing it to mainland Europe and "spikes there" as if they've handled the situation better when in fact it's the total opposite. Complete mess. When I listen to any minister from this government speak I feel like vomiting at the lies and pretence

A couple of weeks ago I was watching BBC Victoria Darbyshire asking some more pressing questions to a member of government, the only BBC journalist I've come across doing so. Generally the BBC is very clumsily supportive of this government which in the evidence of the truth seen everywhere from mainland Europe is rather bizarre

They are very well behaved. It's simply that the rules are soooooo relaxed

I have another theory too: that countries like Germany maybe are more efficient with new hot spots. That may be another reason. But really, if they have suddenly more cases from people coming home from the holidays and they don't get high number of infections, then I really don't understand this virus AT ALL

    I see

I don't get this virus either. But I think that's exactly the reason why people should be more cautious, not knowing your enemy is the worst

Amazon boss Jeff Bezos rejects claims company acted like a 'drug dealer'

Amazon boss Jeff Bezos has rejected claims that his company acted like a "drug dealer" in its business tactics.

US Congressman David Cicilline, the Democrat leading a hearing looking into the world's biggest tech companies, said a year-long investigation by lawmakers had showed several online platforms had "wielded their power in destructive, harmful ways in order to expand".

Mr Bezos insisted his decisions were based on what was good for the consumer.

The heads of some of the world's biggest tech companies have appeared before Washington lawmakers to defend their firms against claims they abuse their power to quash competitors.

Amazon boss Jeff Bezos said the world "needs large" firms, while the heads of Facebook, Apple and Google argued their companies had spurred innovation.

The appearance comes as lawmakers consider tougher regulation and competition probes are under way. Some critics want the firms broken up.

Democrats pressed the tech titans on competition issues, while Republicans were more concerned about how they managed information and whether they were marginalising conservative views.

I'm live in Germany now and you can't believe how incredibly CARELESS are the people. Picnics with lots of people in park, all eating PACKED in terasses, all children playing together, mask not mandatory in the street... This virus affects more depending on the race and genes. PERIOD. If we did all this in Spain we would be all dead.

The epidemic narrative has been incredibly racist. One person at work had the nerve to tell me that in Spain cases are rising because we party too much. Sigmund Freud, analyse this. "Party, the one you have every day in parks",  answered.

I would expect Germans to be usually very well behaved in these matters. Say like Denmark would be  What you're reporting is interesting and very telling instead. Either way, latest developments in continental Europe in general are not good. People are slipping into self-complacent mode again. Very dangerous for the coming cold months

  8. In short, Britain's elites acting up like the little island with an empire it once was, unfortunately there is no such thing as that anymore other than the dying vestige of the Commonwealth

Europe is crushed by a commercial war between the US and China and plagued by an increasingly worrying Northern Africa and Middle East situation. Not to mention Ukraine/Russia on its Eastern border front

Yet despite being a European country they'd rather opt for a past that doesn't exist anymore and keep holding up US Foreign Policy even when it's blatantly illegal under all international parameters

Meanwhile they also keep telling us how autocratic Russia and China are (God forbid Europe starts trading with the East rather than being a de facto US monopoly playground, and this is what the whole Syria chapter is actually about) while they keep funnelling wagons of 💰 and arms to fucking Saudi Arabia, with everything that entails

I.e  breeding AlQaeda and ISIS, throwing people off buildings, being degrading and abusive towards women, killing former government advisors in an embassy in Turkey with zero international accountability whatsoever, bombing Yemenite children as a sport and desperately trying to trigger Iran into an all out confrontation for confrontation sake

Great work for the serial hypocrites

There's a Cambridge study claiming that Spain is the developed country that has worst managed the pandemic :dead:

They clearly don't know what to do to save UK and USA face. Not to mention Sweden

    They're truly pathetic indeed

    Pathological liars

And this particular Tory government is the real Benny Hill show. Now daft BOT Boris Johnson saying he's concerned about a probable second wave to hit Europe and imposing quarantines and travelling restrictions when he and his government of inept acolytes coordinated by the real PM Cummings are the first ones responsible for the mess that this pandemic turned out to be in the UK compared to most other European countries

Always lecturing and condescending on Southern Europe when in fact countries like Spain and Italy and largely also France and Germany (because they already had the supplies etc) handled the whole thing egregiously

People were actually locked inside their homes for two full months! If you didn't wear a mask or didn't have a reason to be out other than work, groceries or going to a pharmacy you would be fined. Parks were closed down

All they did instead was talk about herd immunity as far back as Feb, leaving all airports open till mid March when in the rest of Europe all air travel had been stopped three weeks before, changing from stay home to stay alert, the pitiful Cummings Commedia dell'Arte

And the list is endless, I just fucking can't 😱 at them with all their pretence 😆😂 and making it look like they have done anything for the British population other than visibly damaging them.

I mean, they sure have a lot of nerve. Unfortunately for them they're equally super transparent. And all the stains will not go away that easily. Now put the perspective of a no deal Brexit outcome into the blender and you get quite the explosive cocktail

Well... that’s exactly what it is. What happened so America went so low?

    Canada on the other hand

    What a striking difference

So close yet so far away

I was born in the 80s. America has been a myth of mine all my childhood and adolescence, it's contributed to pop culture more than anything else, anywhere else, then you grow up, you study, develop your own perspective on things. I'm not saying everything is bad there but many Americans do not realise that if you don't know the history of Europe you cannot possibly comprehend what is going on in the rest of the world right now. Amazed that in high schools you do a fairweather history programme about 200 years of "American History". Keeping people ignorant always works in favour of controlling them

Many Americans need to burst out of their bubble of a superiority complex towards the rest of the world or that God entrusted them with patrolling the world and that Americans need to be protected from an invisible threat (of the powers that be own creation). It's just a load of excuses and crap to exert power and violence with zero accountability towards the global community. The UN doesn't exist. And it's not just with Republican presidents, it's a matter of a highly corrupt and deceitful Foreign Policy of an entire nation

It's a cultural issue we're dealing with here, sadly, things could very easily be so different if books were incentivised rather than some mediocre stereotypical white All American Boy macho obsession with GUNS culture

The original spirit and point of the founding principles has been completely lost

American citizens' worst enemy is their own intellectual and political elites

  11. And do me a favour, if the EU truly wants to survive it has to dispose of the travesty of the fiscal paradise countries system. Netherlands, Luxembourg and the Republic of Ireland off the top of my head now

A Court has just reversed a previous EU sentence that imposed Facebook a fine for not paying what it actually owed in terms of its huge size in EU operations and said Ireland was right in receiving a minimised payment instead. The Irish government thanked them profusely of course  🙈😂🤡

This type of thing is also what's killing the entire six decade plus old European project. Then they have the nerve to demand more "job reforms" (i.e. people have to become total slaves but they call it mixed and flexible job market). ENOUGH

  12. Fucking 🤡 travesty going on in Brussels right now, as expected

The false narrative of the frugal virtuous countries versus the irresponsible ones.

Italy and its working and middle classes, for all, has already paid a high tribute to Europe in terms of tax, job reforms and ten years of manic so called austerity to the EU bureaucracy during the past 12 years alone

Besides there is the most important consideration to make

Who the fuck is the Netherlands to rear its ugly fiscal head to? A country that within this type of dying EU construct (veto system where one ant country can block another couple of dozen member countries, no fiscal unity) has prospered and prospered thanks to the various FIAT General Motors Chrysler Peugeot etc, Amazon, Facebook etc taxes not paid in individual countries and funnelled into the Dutch economy

What exactly is the NE industrial clout or industrial world renowned pride??

Who are Germany, France and Italy, oh, the three biggest net contributors to the whole EU Castle and its three biggest economies

Yes, let Italy fall because Italians are lazy (lie, obviously) and spend too much and too poorly (the incompetence of our corrupt political class of decades past, an endemic historical organised crime issue and the heavy influence of a tax non compliant Vatican in Italian territory is certainly not minimally ascribable to the Italian population) you Rutte moron

But Merkel only knows too well, the expert politician. If Italy fails the EU will be officially declared DEAD. She doesn't want this stain on her impeccable CV as she readies her way out of the political scene she's dominated during the past 15 years

And yes the "spolit bad Mediterranean children always schooled by Brussels"  of Spain, Portugal and Greece deserve that cash pronto too you Rutte FUCK Fest

  13. Spain's Foreign Minister has announced that from tomorrow June 21, in spite of the fact that negotiations with the UK government are still ongoing, Spain will leave its borders open to British citizens without the need to quarantine upon arrival (they will still be requested to get their temperature measured and to provide a contact and location address) irregardless of whether the UK will reciprocate this measure for Spaniards coming into the UK to holiday

She said the Spanish government would be taking this course "out of respect for the 400,000 UK citizens who have a second home in Spain"

I guess Greek government is desperate to revive their tourism.

    All governments are

But there's a difference in type of lockdown applied. Fairweather lockdown Vs Real Lockdown. And the graduality by which you come off of it. Numbers allowing it to begin with

And Greece acted very well and acted early on. Earlier than any other European country. It is the country with the lowest total number of deaths and contagions.

They really deserve a successful summer tourist season. After having spent years being tagged as the ugly duckling of Europe. Obviously it's the Greek people who've footed the bill for the massive debt created by bankers and speculators in and outside of Greece. The IMF is yet another massively corrupt and unjust international institution
