Today in NJ we opened up our salons and one had a line outside of it. They were breaking the law, so I called the health officials.
Due to countries in the EU enforcing mask wearing and limiting the amount of "essential workers" they are recovering much quicker than the US.

This possibly explains why it is stills spreading while people are stay home. Since the virus is sticky it can attach to particles in the air making easier to spread.

@mmmike I had a planned trip to Spain in june (Palma, Valencia, several cities in Andalusia) and obviously everything is canceled due to the pandemic because my airline does not offer flights to Spain until further notice. Fortunately with the exception of my plane tickets, I managed to get reimbursed for all other reservations.
I was going to Barcelona and Palma...
Then seeing my cousin in Rome. I really want to support the travel industry and Europe but it looks like not this summer.
I have Spain booked for November, fingers crossed!!!

So I had my summer vacation planned for August 12th to August 28th flying on UNITED.
Newark to Barcelona
Rome to Newark
And they cancelled it!!! No direct flights until late September/October....
I am thinking while things may slowly reopen our international borders may be closed for awhile....any news with your vacations or border updates?

Thanks for letting me know! That is wonderful what Spain is doing. I am happy we got the $1,200 but more support is needed.

Question for Spaniards and Italians...
Has the government helped you out financially like the $1,200 some of us got in the United States?
I am wondering because I asked my cousin in Rome and he said there was no government financial support.

I booked my trip to Spain and Italy for this summer. The hotels are all free cancellation and I fly so much on United I will use the credit if the trip get cancelled. I needed to book my trip for some form of sanity. I also want to support those economies and the travel industry!
I went to Madrid in February and was suppose to go to Lisbon and Spain in March/April but that got all canceled.

Yeah I have been seeing gaggles of teens and younger people talking in the parks. As days go on people are listening less and less. The police drive by but don't say anything from what I see.
I just wear my masks and gloves when I got out to food shop and I report to the customer service desk if people don't have masks on. The only time I don't wear a mask is when I go running in the street.
I am in Garfield but I had to go shopping in another town (Hasbrouck Heights) and the difference was day and night. In Heights nearly everyone had a mask on, in Garfield only about 20% had masks on.

I have noticed the difference in the air quality in New Jersey. The sky is much more blue and also everything is blooming much slower than usual. The Earth is having a break from pollution.

As a teacher if I did 1% of what he did or said, I would have been fired and sued.
Hillary received 2.8 million more popular votes than Trump. Hence, most American's did not want Trump but due to electoral college he won. When I was in Italy in August 2016 we all talked about how we loved Hillary.
Peoples reactions towards dealing with COVID-19 really shows peoples true colors, however a lot of Trump supporters refuse to see it!

OMG at that last picture of the lady in the background looking at them kiss. Everyone is wearing a mask in public and they are kissing for promo with no mask. I wouldn't trust that surgeon he can't even wear a mask in public, let alone his client results!
