  1. There is something more pathetic than being a Kylie fan. And this is being a Leona fan. She is no-one yet (and I doubt she will ever be) I'm glad im not a fan of either.

Backstreet boys, Spice Girls sold millions of albums and they stink (in my opinion and most critics' opinion) so it doesn't really matter how many records she is going to sell, she is still rubbish. And I dont want to compare her with Kylie, because there isnt point.

And yes, I am not well informed becuae I dont give a damm about either of them, unlike you guys who are defending someone so manufactured as Leona and still dont have the guts to admit it.

so if critics say she's rubbish, then she's rubbish, no matter how many records someone sells?

Glad we've got that one sorted out then.

How old are you Frax, if you don't mind me asking?

  2. It is sad that Leona is number one, because we all know that it isnt because of her talents but for all the buzz and media interest generated.

I will definetely NOT get any of these albums/sinlges

AM guessing you're a Kylie loon?

why wont you be buying Leona's single or albums? Spent all the allowance the Care In The Community home gives you on multiple copies of 2 Hearts?

  3. I agree with all of that.

Leona would not have stayed number one on hype alone. It's because it's actually a great song recorded by a great singer.

Sure, she's been hyped, but who isn't these days? Hype is what gets almost all songs into the charts. Quality is what keeps them there.

Hype got Kylie up the charts. Quality is what will see that song plumet dopwn the charts faster than her weight during chemotherapy.

I think Alicia will remain in the charts for a while, much like Apologise or Valerie. For an artist who's not used to UK success, she's done brilliantly based, again, on a quality song.

  4. That's what I said in another thread. The other songs in the top 5 all have cross appeal; that Timaland song is shaping up to be my favourite of the year.

Kylie's sales are PITIFUL when you consider it's in three physical formats plus a download. :rotfl:

the timbaland song has been on repeat on my ipod ever since I first heard the album. One of the best of the year.

when it comes down to basics, the Kylie song just isn;t that good and only appeals to her fan base. Casual buyers just dont like it. Its a bad choice for a comeback single. or should that be a 'brave' choice for a comeback single?

  5. Dont be so NIAIVE, old man.

Without Hung Up, the casual fun would not have paid half as much attention to that album as they did with it's inclusion.

Hardcore fans bought American Life. The rest ignored it. Everyone bought Confessions of the back of an awesome single.

    FOOL.

  6. I think they havent done enough promotion for it early enough. The song I think is great - but it should be in the nation;s psyche by now. Instead, they've left promotion to the three weeks before release.

they should have released something with Justin first - just to capitalise on his name.
