Did he get his lips done?
-
I loved the jump rope and the Haring backdrop, but I seem like the only one who thinks the new arrangement is lacking. I'll need to see it again to make a final judgement
-
I have to say the graphics with the fairy look like something out of a Britney Spears show.
Yeah, I agree.
As far as the track goes I was hoping that Rain would be featured predominantly, with bits and pieces of Here Comes The Rain Again (Madonna on vocals though).

Fucking brilliant video. I agree that something along this line would've worked for GI2M. She really dropped the ball on that one. Her tour vids have been consistently brilliant.
I can't wait for this to offically leak one day

OK...so here we go
My seat was fantastic, directly behind Rosie (and her new teeth , which she told everybody) and as I later found out, next to Hector . For the last 3 tours I've been able to see her up close w/in a few rows (this time without travelling out of state ) and I think her body looked the best this time. She was very energetic and I thought the crowd was great, not sure what everyone else is talking about. I thought the sound was pretty bad, though not her or the crew's fault. I think the venue just has bad acoustics. Overall it was a great show but I think I enjoyed Confessions more.
The highlights:
Vogue - loved the 4 Minutes incorporation and the choreography was killer. Probably my favorite of the night.
La Isla Bonita/Lela Pala Tute - As much as I think she should put this one to rest for awhile, it worked so fucking well with the gypsies etc. and was one of the best performances.
Miles Away - Definitely a crowd pleaser, great performance.
You Must Love Me - The one slow spot in the show, great arrangement and vocal.
Give It 2 Me - Loved the video game theme, the rave lighting. Fantastic.
She's Not Me -
Open Your Heart - though not a proper performance this is the one I've wanted her to do the most over the years, maybe the next tour??
And now for the less than stellar moments IMO. No performance was less than average, but I thought some of the arrangements were lacking. I'm not a fan of the ITG arrangement, the jump rope was great though. What was done Like A Prayer arrangement-wise is a sacrilege and Ray of Light was fun, but essentially the CT performance. Also I understand that it had to be done but 4 Minutes was not that great unless Justin decided to show up. Two of my favs off HC are Spanish Lesson and Heartbeat which I was expecting more from, but I need to see again to form a better opinion. I'm still looking forward to seeing her again next weekend though

Amazing pics, and she looked just as gorgeous up close live. By the way, her body is cut but she didn't look like the Hulk ready to combust like tabloids show her as lately.
She does look great up close, whatever she's had done looks much better in person. Also, every time I see her up close I'm still amazed at how tiny she is. She looks fantastic.

Anyone take note of how much the tourbook is going for at the venue?
$30

I'll write more tomorrow...the show was great. Overall I think Confessions was slightly better, but this one is more in your face and non-stop. Vogue was fucking amazing
-
Everyone get a grip
If sales are low part of it could be that she announced the date too late, and most of the Detroit-area people had already planned to go to Chicago.
-
Cool. The behind-the-scenes had better be mostly rehearsals etc. (i.e. the first 10 min. of IGTTYAS)
-
east rutherford (USA opening night) sec 8 is open
They've been open on and off for awhile. I'm so tempted too, but I'm holding off till we find out about the catwalk setup
-
Ugh this whole stage setup is frustrating Getting an accurate seating chart shouldn't be like pulling teeth.
What exactly is the big deal about getting a definitive answer? Knowing if there is/isn't a catwalk shouldn't be shrouded in such secrecy, its not like it's going to be giving away any detailed info about the setlist etc. which can be easily found online anyway.
-
I'm assuming the 150 is assigned seating while the Golden Circle is GA.
-
I think the headset might work ok for a performance or two, a la Vogue & NKM, but she should stick with the mic. For any of the elaborate choreography during CT she did the "microphone hand-off" which works, or she stuck it in her leotard for Erotica. I think it might be cool to see Vogue done without the headset for a change.
-
I really haven't paid much attention to GI2M's BB chart runs (or lack thereof it seems), but a song this good deserves to do better. I guess this is what happens when there isn't any promotion etc. Oh well, there might as well be another single release to see if it does anything.
-
I like Stuart... on a different note, is that true that M still has to do 2 more tours after this?
Assuming that this tour is under her LiveNation contract, I think it's 3 more
-
2 - besides the many many boxing themed costumes chanel made, no new info on costumes.
I'd love it if she did Give It 2 Me in the same ensemble she wore in the Dazed & Confused shots, complete with the headgear
-
Janet should open for Madge, get to see a proper crowd for once
I'd rather her not have an opening act, it really isn't necessary
-
Congrats! That is an amazing seat
-
i thought it was fine. Loved it in fact. Vouge always seemed more like a presentation than a song to sing. she didnt exactly knock it out of the park in the Girlie SHow either and i think the RIT version was way more fun to watch than the GS one. but that one was ok too.
I agree. I thought it was a great performance, lipped most likely, but whatever.
-
I will take tomatos with me that I will proceed to throw at her if she ignores Open Your Heart AGAIN.
-
I got section 38, but I'm 3rd row and on the aisle, so I figure that's pretty decent?
Like someone above me I imagine her being a tiny speck in the distance with my seats but I hope they're alright
Honestly with the way MSG is set up, Skin is right, there really are no bad seats. Eventhough section 38 isn't at the front, at least it's elevated so you're not looking over everyone's heads
-
^That's all I've been getting too
There's no way in hell I'd pay that much to be on the back of the floor, it's not like it's raised that much. I'd rather be in the loge.
BTW what kind of tix did you get (for those you you who bought)? Are any of them close to the stage?
-
Ray of Light - I actually liked the CT version, but at this point it's overplayed
Don't Tell Me - performed on 2 tours with little variation, no point on doing it again
La Isla Bonita - even if this is similar to the Live 8 version (which I love), I think its time to give it a rest
Holiday - I'd rather her perform Everybody instead. Besides Music seems to be the new Holiday.
4 Minutes - This will be performed no doubt, I'd rather have a solo version than a 'virtual' Justin on the screens
Dance 2night - could be good in a live setting. I'm not really a fan of the album version though, it sounds like she's singing with a wool sweater over her mouth.
Voices - same as above, but I couldn't care either way.

Everybody have a blast!
mothebest I did the same thing, only saw a few pics. It makes for a great experience seeing it all for the first time
