Idk about that.....to this day she continues to get shit about Vogue and we all know that she hired dancers straight from the NYC ballroom scene for that. Yet, people still consider it "cultural appropriation".

    No.

    This is a history re-write.

Only Gaga fans try to give her shit about Vogueing being cultural appropriation. Outside of their forums, I don't think I've ever seen anyone make any deal of it.

  2. Historically, excluding the rebel heart rollout which didn't go to plan, press releases are about 2 months prior to an album release.

Hard Candy press release was Thursday 28th Feb 2008 and album was released 29th April.

MDNA press release was Tuesday 31st Jan 2012 and the album was released 23rd March.

I'd say end of this month, early next month to hear anything at the earliest?

Sorry it wasn’t new album/single premiere ...I just knew she was performing! It was amazing though

You don't have anything to apologise for.

This is Madonna we're talking about. She's performing and has a new album due... you'd think something relating to it may happen. But it's Madonna... she'll announce the album and open the Grammies with Don't Tell Me/Baby Shark medley.

Saying that, I don't think this event was the right place to promote a new single, anyway. She'd be dragged for self promoting or something so it's best she blueballed us again this time lol.

it's not important or a big deal.. but quite a shame that despite me trying to be nice to everyone im often singled out even though others share my opinion, but yeah.. whatever.. I'll ignore it as always.

For what it's worth, I think you're very sane compared to some posters. You always tend to be measured and thoughtful in your posts. I tend to agree with you on quite a lot of things, including this Anitta nonsense.

I don't think it was a joke. I can imagine that Interscope pays only the first video with a bigger budget. That would explain why following videos usually look very cheap these days. Presumably Madonna paid the more expensive video for Ghosttown out of her own pocket.

Go back to The Making of Take a Bow MTV special, she says herself that you get an advance but the record company gets it back off you - or something to that effect. So since I saw that, it was always my understanding that the artist was at least partly responsible for contribution to financing videos.
