  1. Seems like:

+ "We-R-Superstars" is name of this track/dub/whatever it is

+ Pete Tong mentions The Wondermints at the end (a genuine band, and perhaps referring to the previous track on the radio show?), BUT THEN "disco revival from 'ID'" (I can't find any artist named ID online)

+ It's on Spinnin' Records' Soundcloud and YouTube page (?!)

+ The Billboard description would make absolutely NO SENSE if 'ID' were an underground/dance act and this was their debut single

+ If it IS Madonna, seems like the track Billboard are referring to is a SAMPLE of this, this is the instrumental, or it's being "tested" under a pseudonym

Someone replay the whole show on BBC iPlayer pronto and see if anything was mentioned before this was played. Remember - Pete Tong did play the dub version of Hung Up as a global premiere back in 2005 so...

NOBODY in the Madonna community noticed this for four whole days (was posted online on the 3rd), despite it being played on Radio One!

    WHAT A MESS

  2. Susan is out of control!!!

    HITS:

    DRILLING FOR BOYLE

Syco/Columbia Singer Stays Home for the Holidays, with Glee Vol. 2, Chris Brown, Gucci Mane, Thirty Seconds to Mars Leading the Debuts

    December 9, 2009

If this is a Dream, Susan Boyle doesn't want to wake up.

The unlikely Syco/Columbia phenom will top the HITS' Album chart for a third consecutive week next Tuesday (12/15), with a total that could hit 600k, bringing her cumulative number close to 2 million.

That will certainly bring a smile to the faces of Rob Stringer, Steve Barnett and the notoriously hard-to-please Simon Cowell.

Holy fuck. Who would have thought in 2009 that an album could sell near 2 million in three weeks? Most units shifted post-SoundScan in three weeks since 'N Sync's Celebrity in 2001?

  3. The final will garner near-on TWENTY MILLION viewers this Sunday so it would be a promo MASTERSTROKE. Paul McCartney, George Michael and Coldplay are the acts rumoured to be performing (I presume with each one of the contestants). However, that will be on the SATURDAY night. With the final spread out on two nights this year, there's still space on the Sunday show for her to perform and on The Xtra Factor Simon revealed that one act had just confirmed that day they'd be performing but remained tight-lipped. However, aside from this article, there is no other news of her performing at the final. We'll see...

  4. "Revolver" digital release? It's available already, since the album release, no?

Is GMTV a highly rated show in the UK?

It's a breakfast show, like Good Morning America. Up until a couple of years ago, it used to average about 6 million viewers per day which isn't bad (though most people aren't actually watching, it's merely background noise while people get ready for work/school) but this year ratings have dropped to a pitiful 900,000. A very poor choice for promo. OH WELL.

  5. Once again, what were some people's expectations for the album? It contains material on two compilation albums that, combined, have sold more than 4.2 million copies in the UK (16 of the36 tracks on an album that's sold 3.6m+). The album hit #1 and sold more in the UK in its first week than the USA, which probably was the first time that's happened. The album could be a decent seller over time- man, people are gleefully judging it as if it were a new studio recording. The new single reached #2 in airplay, but enjoyed a rapid freefall down the airplay charts- so why exactly would there be a mad rush to own the album for most of the public, especially with no promo? Exactly.

HolidayGuy, when are you coming to the UK? You could introduce the links between the songs on the Radio 1 Chart Show with Fearne and Reggie. Ratings would SOAR.

  6. Cheryl Cole is not worth it!

I wonder when the press backlash will start? Perhaps next year? Q gave '3 Words' a 4-star rating, a full page review AND included it in its Top 50 Best Albums of the YEAR. They called the title track "experimental" and "left-field" and said that Cole is "heading for America" :manson: . This and the fact that they didn't even bother to review 'Celebration' when they have a dedicated compilations section proves this magazine has gone down the toilet.

  7. Cheryl sales at 176k! shock.gif

    To put this in perspective,

    * Alexandra sold 187,000 copies in total last week, with Bad Boys, which currently holds the title for the biggest first-week sales of the year.

    * Fight For This Love will likely match or exceed the first-week sales of any Girls Aloud single since their debut Sound of the Underground which shifted 213k in 2002 (Christmas week)

    * Fight For This Love will likely garner the highest first-week sales for a non-reality act since Kylie's Can't Get You Out Of My Head in 2001.

Phenomenal sales. Cherly Cole - Queen of the Charts.

    Poor Dannii :lmao:

  8. And Cheryl's pre-recording her performance.

    :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think Miley Cyrus did this last year but that was excusable if she had prior commitments on the night of the live show. Cheryl has no excuse- her arse will be sitting on the judging panel while they air the video. :lmao: What is she going to do - introduce herself?

  9. Noticed Celebration was advertised in the final ad break before the bottom two acts were announced on The X Factor Sunday. This will probably be the last time the commercial is aired for a while I think, unless they give it another push before Christmas. WBR UK obviously spent more money for the commercial to be aired during prime spots rather than regular rotation across all channels.

Holy shit at Alex's sales, though it's not that much of a surprise. And Cheryl will be number one next week, it's the number one pre-ordered single on iTunes, number two in airplay and will benefit from her X Factor performance which hopefully will be CAR CRASH television if she performs live. Was Alex miming on Saturday? If so, Cheryl might be saved.

  10. Billboard Hot 100 #1s by British acts this decade:

    You're Beautiful - James Blunt

    Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis

    Viva La Vida - Coldplay

Down - Jay Sean feat. Lil Wayne

A very poor showing. The last ten years has seen the worst British presence on Billboard since the charts began. Safe to say the 00s was the most musically insular decade to date in the US.

  11. Bullshyt. She promoted ALL THE TIME in the UK, she was in London more than Madonna ever was in the 90s, doing Top Of The Pops for every release.

Btw, could you put your posts below the quote, makes them difficult to read above it.

TRUE. She's parked her FAT ASS on Paul O'Grady's couch at least THREE TIMES. Half the audience didn't know who she was, even Paul looked less interested than when he's interviewing someone from Emmerdale.

But her greatest UK TV moment was in the mid 90s on The O Zone when she was interviewed LYING ON A SOFA. She refused to get up and propped her head up with her MAN LIKE HAND. Jamie Theakston was disgusted, as were the licence fee payers.

  12. :rotfl:

I kinda got that vibe. Not overwhelming, but it was there.

Oh, you were listening too? :lmao: I normally can't stand Radio 1 but thought I'd tune in to see if there was any fanfare when they announced the new entry at #3. Of course there wasn't. Not even a mentioned of it being her SIXTIETH top 10. VILE CUNTS.

One a sidenote, Kiss 100 London played a FABULOUS half-an-hour Madonna megamix at 2.00pm on Monday, with all the hits. Did anyone catch it? Was really well done. Still on the website if anyone wants to listen to it. They even managed to sneak in a few seconds of Where's the Party and the strings from Dear Jessie in there. Kiss treat her a lot better than Radio 1, and their demographic is even younger!

  13. Don't know - the last time I flicked through Attitude was when she included them in the COAD promo.

I used to like looking at the nice pics of Philip Olivier from it on famousmales until they banned them

Oh, they're all cunts over there. Even worse than Digital Spy. I wanted to purve at some pictures of Jamie Dornan that someone had uploaded in a thread but they were removed them all because he's "not famous enough" apparently. :lmao: :lmao:

  14. Taio Cruz is gay?

Heard him on Radio 1's chart show. First time I've ever heard him speak, and there's probably a reason for that. He makes Will Young sound BUTCH. And when Edith Bowman asked him what it was like working with Young, his pitch went even higher and sounded aroused.
