  1. Guess she cant be bothered and has other plans, not like she needs to tour Australia, l was quite happy with the expectation that she would never make it here and glad l was sceptical even on the announcement for MDNA. She just needs to stop fucking around with Australia in an unprofessional manner...that is where the damage is coming from. Even Minaj has had to postpone but addressed fans directly with why and how on twitter....some actual respect and appreciation.

    I have no expectations that Madonna will ever make it to Australia now on a large scale and that is fine, we make no difference to her career...just dont make lame promises and cliched comments on how appreciated we are.

  2. No, I am not saying that at all. You seem to have a problem with basic comprehension. You called me immature. I disagreed. I don't see what's immature about being pissed off when you're lied to. It is quite natural. And if you *want* to point the finger at someone for immature behaviour (and it seems you do), then perhaps look at the person in this big mess who keeps breaking promises and telling lies - Madonna. That is not mature behaviour by any reasonable person's standards - and if you think it is, don't bother replying because I'm really not interested in conversing with you. I don't know what your problem is anyway. Are you Australian? Are you affected by of this? Were you forced into reading this thread? No? Well, don't slam the door on the way out.

    Ah, yes there was - all the initial press releases about the MDNA Tour referred to it ending in Australia and being her first shows in Australia in 20 years. They even included quotes from both Guy and Arthur Fogel confirming it. The Australian leg was one of the main points in the official MDNA press releases and THAT is a fact. You are obviously ignorant about the situation, so stop embarrassing yourself. Goodbye.

    We know there was, no use replying to everyone who wants to justify this. Madonna for the first time l have seen has been totally unprofessional and there will be no further information from her, not sure why people are waiting for an explanation..its like expecting a different set list for Paris..we know Madonna and team better than that.

  3. Has anything been confirmed about the new gig setlist or broadcast. I find it funny that people think Madonna will do something different or spontaneous...Madonna does not do that (or tour Australia)...these things we can count on...wont it be the same rehersed set list for MDNA just scaled down?

  4. I'm putting my 2 cents here, and I won't say anything more cause as a parisian I'm spoiled (went to sdf & go to olympia hall), but I red somewhere that mdna was a total flop in Australia, she 's barely on radio, maybe the fears about not filling stadium are true :popcorn2:

    Most people remember hung up as her last hit and anythimg newer has been fairly invisible in Australia but she would sell shows out easily...its absolutely nothing to do with sales. And Madonna has never been on radio in Australia except for chart countdowns etc.

    Enjoy the Olympia you lucky thing. I saw confessions in Paris and that's a great memory, dont ever expect to see her live now.

  5. In my opinion, she could've started the tour there, had HUGE box office numbers - banked that cash and gotten good publicity - rather than kick things off in Tel Aviv where she had to scuttle one night because ticket sales weren't up to par.

    But she would rather pretend to save the world while in fact reinforcing the religous delusion that Israel is a spritually important place which further drives the violence and war there...rather than be a pop star and play for her loyal fans

  6. Pretty sure we will never get another comment or explanation for the cancellation. Bitch can do what she wants. I dont think the backlash will last that long because Madonna is already fairly invisible in Australia, l was looking forward to the tour to create some excitement for her again here. Disapointed l didnt go see Gaga now, was saving my concert dollars. Guess l can spend it on lego now:)

  7. I refuse to believe Candy Shop is in until opening night...surely someone will tell M in a nice way that it sucks and no one wants to hear it out of all the good songs she has to choose from.

    Cant wait for born this way though, thats a good idea.

  8. I would like some ballads, something more than the current hot sound.....just some good pop with those magic Madonna hooks.

    I would also love her and her management to respect the legacy and start releasing something from the vaults...demos, pics, video out takes...RIT...extra footage from Truth or Dare...any little gems to remind fans of good times and really celebrate her career..still amazed there has been no decent retrospective or official anniversary for 25 years.

  9. 'Art is the only way to run without leaving home.' Twyla Tharp.

    Most art is derived from trauma and fantasy. Madonna has plenty of both. Her talent is understanding exactly where she has to go and making sure she gets there. I don't mean making number one records. She moves forward towards fulfilling her destiny so effectively. It's really a thing of beauty. Her soul is damaged and she's been trying to fix it for ever. I don't really think she knows how beautiful she is and yet she lets the world absorb everything about her. That in itself is a talent. To let yourself be that prone. A British journalist interviewed her and asked the question 'Why have you endured in the public eye? What is it you think that people see when they look at you?' she didn't bother to think before replying 'Themselves. They see their self.' :wow: She remains enigmatic while being totally overexposed. Underrated yet super highly celebrated. She's created a massive body of work that can be considered light hearted entertainment, heartfelt poetry and anything in between. Her voice is incredibly diverse and emotive. She has limits, as do all singers...but she has a penchant for character portrayal. She has a very active brain. She can disect, break down and re-build most if not every artistic medium. She is a phenomenal dancer. A visionary. She is an old fashioned Hollywood superstar with extra balls. She's a living dichotomy. People want to discredit her because they are afraid and unaware of what she is. It doesn't work in their heads. Just like Da Vinci or Van Gogh or Beethoven. They are contradictions of human comprehension. They have a heavier connection with intrinsic beauty. I believe that people driven to live through art are somehow imbalanced in their mental stimulations. Her talent is making her 'freak' into 'fantasy'. She's an empty vessel that is spilling over. This may sound like a monologue from a crazed fan, but really I am in awe of somebody that turns their misfortune into something beyond natural comprehension. It's more than :wow::bow:

    ++nicely expressed. Madonna is art.
