  2. mtzlplk said the TRUTH!

This is from the Madonna.nl webmaster, posting on Fanzine:

Just received the single-release information for Holland from Warner Music Netherlands:

    - In the Netherlands the single will also be released to radio on August 3rd.

    - 1 day later, August 4, it is available for download!

They also said there will be a large marketing campaign for the Celebration album

    :wow:

    its so stupid

  3. It's true:

The store release date in the UK for Madonna's new single is set for Monday 14 September - and despite the rumours that you have read elsewhere that the single is called Celebrate we at madonnalicious can now reveal that the single is actually called Celebration.

That means the album will be September 21 or 28. Not the same week as Mariah after all. :dramatic:

maybe mariahs album will be pushed back again.

Madonna to visit injured in Marseille stage collapse

Updated at: 1610 PST, Sunday, July 19, 2009

MARSEILLE: US pop star Madonna was due in the French city of Marseille on Sunday to meet technicians injured when part of her concert stage collapsed, killing two workers, officials said.

Two men, a 23-year-old Briton and a 53-year-old French colleague, were killed on Thursday when a crane toppled over while they were setting up a stage in Marseille's Stade Velodrome stadium for a Madonna concert.

Prosecutors said Friday that eight more people were hospitalised after the incident, including an American whose injuries were said to be life-threatening.

Tour promoter Live Nation, which is overseeing Madonna's world tour, could not immediately confirm the information from French officials connected to the accident inquiry that the star would be in Marseille.

The Marseille concert, which had been planned for Sunday night, has been cancelled.

Madonna's next tour date is a sell-out gig in Barcelona's Olympic Stadium on Tuesday, according to her website

    Madonna and Dolce do dinner

    Wednesday 15 July, 2009

Madonna and Jesus found time to meet with designers Dolce & Gabbana while on tour in Milan

Madonna hit Milan with her "Sticky and Sweet" tour this week and took the opportunity to catch up with her old friends, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana over a spot of dinner.

The designer duo have been close friends to Madonna throughout her career after first going to see her perform in Turin in 1990. Three years later they were busy designing all her stage costumes for her upcoming tour and have been a favourite choice for her red-carpet appearances.

Last night the pair went to watch Madge in concert and then joined her and boyfriend Jesus Luz for dinner after the show. And it seems that the foursome were mingling business and pleasure; Jesus has been signed up to model for the design duo in their menswear show in Milan this Saturday. He also stars as the face of the brand's new advertising campaign alongside Eva Herzigova. Stefano and Domenico said they chose Jesus Luz because he is "a modern emblem of hopes and dreams".

Although Madonna has been the face of Louis Vuitton in recent seasons, last night she wore a grey and black leopard print satin dress from the new Dolce & Gabbana ready-to-wear collection. The designers looked equally polished, both dressed in suits from their menswear collection.

But, shhh, nobody tell Madge that Whitney Huston was wearing the same Dolce frock in London!

MADONNA is in talks to perform on this year's X Factor, TV Biz can reveal.

And the Queen of Pop is one of a number of top acts Simon Cowell has his eye on.

Others being lined up to perform on the ITV1 talent show include outrageous chart sensation Lady GaGa and Umbrella singer Rihanna.

    Acts ... Simon Cowell

He is also dead set on getting Robbie Williams. The ex-Take That star has spent years in the wilderness and Cowell is desperate to get him to make a comeback on the show.

Meanwhile diva Beyonce is being asked to make a comeback after wowing audiences last year by belting out her hit Listen with eventual winner Alexandra Burke.

Beyonce will be in town while they are filming X Factor as she is doing two more dates at London's O2 stadium in November. An insider said: "The last series proved anything is possible when Beyonce performed with Alex. The final got 15million viewers and that is enough to entice the biggest stars on to our stage.

"This year is going to be bigger than ever - we are planning to get the best names in music. Madonna and Robbie would be sensational."

TV Biz has told how X Factor bosses got ?million budget boost this year, which could pay for stars.

Meanwhile, Xtra Factor host Holly Willoughby told on Twitter that the X Factor returns on August 22. This is likely to anger ITV bosses who like to keep scheduling secret so rivals can't steal their thunder.
