All bravado and hot air as per usual,  Plus his choice of song for the first dance was so typical of him. I adore Frank Sinatra's version of My Way .   However My Way is not a song for the leader of a country which is supposed to be all about serving the nation, not yourself.  As much as I love My Way, it is an ego driven song.  The version of it played was dreadful as well.  All singing all over the melody and lifeless. 

    I had to stop watching their first dance tbh it gave me so much secondhand embarrassment.  He was smart to have his family and Mike Pence join them as a distraction lol

    :( I'm so sorry your family had to go through this! I can't believe this is a reality for Americans.  I don't know how people can afford to live there

    Did anyone see the wrestling today when the Mongolian thought he'd got bronze and then, owing to a penalty I think, lost and the Ukranian got bronze. The coach was so angry he ran on and stripped to his underwear in protest and kept lying on the mat. It took them ages to finally make the Ukranian the winner!

    But yes, poor Tom. He was first in the preliminary round and looked a surefire medal winner but lost it. I feel so sorry for him as he'll be absolutely devastated.

    And Britain came second in the medal table which is unbelievable but typical British people are complaining here that it works out at about £3.5million per medal which could have been put to better use! We're never happy!

    The protest was so weird :lol: I was dreading it when they were taking their pants off lol

    If Tom's performance in the prelims was the same in the finals he would've gotten at least a silver :/ poor him but Chen Aisen and German Sanchez and David Boudia are all cute so whatever

    and I thought China got the second most medals? I'm seeing that they got 70 with the UK getting 67?

    Did anyone just hear Ryan Seacrest describe the atmosphere at the volleyball games like a gay club? Hahaha I'm guessing he had a fabulous time!

    k I thought the closing ceremony was so boring? Even the last part with the carnival :/ I liked the lady singing in the rain in front of the flame though. And the Tokyo part slayed so hard I'm so excited for 2020 :cool:

    Women's 4x100 relay. Well done USA. Great run! Well done Team GB for coming bronze. Gutted Jamaica never got gold but silver is great nonetheless

    I'm so happy for them. I wanted Jamaica to win the gold but the Americans were way ahead of everyone

    also I'm glad the Americans got disqualified in the mens relay lol

    omg I can't wait for the video lol. Poor Lochte. He didn't even win an individual medal this time around

    In other news the president of the International Gymnastics Federation said that the Chinese and Japanese gymnasts are like robots, and that the Japanese are doing well cuz they've ditched their Eastern style choreography for westernized ones that have more harmony and creativity

    also I've been wondering how North Korean athletes are allowed to compete? Why would they let their athletes see how (relatively) fab things are outside their homeland

    She's the team mama. If you follow her on social media you'll see how supportive she is. Total class act. She grew up in extreme poverty and is so humble now. AND Beijing Olympics she had HARD CANDY on her Olympic playlist. SLAYYY

    The Iranian disqualification in weightlifting after he broke the world record, just be some obscure excuse by a Iraqi judge is one of the most embarrassing things ever. The man was so hurt and felt so impotent that he left crying.

    wow I watched this live and had no idea? I feel like so many of Rio's scandals have gone under reported

    In other news the decathlon athlete Kevin Mayer is so h*t?
