  1. celebrate reminds me of get together a bit. is that wrong to say?

Yep. See my thread about hearing the song, but until I just read this, I didn't even think of "Get Together" when I heard it in HQ. In fact, I can't even compare it to any ONE song of hers. All I can think of...it's like a combination of many of her songs but quite different. But the more I think about it, the "thumping beats" as I described, does take me back to her song "Sorry". But again, it doesn't sound like that song either.

  2. speak more of the production, i dont wanna hear how it sounds so good and it will be a #1 hit and your favorite part of the song

Look, I only heard it once. So I apologize if I don't cover all the bases and what you want to know. You know how it is when you first hear a great song. I just was freaking out that I was hearing it.

What sticks in my head the most is the big thumping beat! Then there was this sudden break in the song which I consider the climax. Very beautiful and then the beat kicks in again after those lyrics and main verse. And if I recall there was a vocoder when she sang "yoooou"

  3. Just updated my above post with a link to a "celebration casting" mp3 floating around of the song. Not very good quality, but it will give you a good idea what I am talking about.

I have a feeling this song is going to be big big big!! The U.S. just cannot ignore this song. And gawd to all the "mmm's" and "yeahs".

This is going to be a dancefloor killer!! So so excited!!

  4. I can't tell you how, but I got an advance listen. It's freakin' hot!! The climax and my fav part...

    Put your arms around me

When it gets too hot we can go outside

But for now just come here, let me whisper in your ear

An invitation to the dance tonight

I just love how she sings the above lyrics. The song slows down just a bit at that point... almost giving an angelic orchestra dreamy feel and she sings at a higher pitchl! (Stupid comparison, but so so excited and it's the best way I can only describe it after one good listen!) It's awesome!! And you'll be pleasantly surprised that the DUB and regular mix do compliment one each other, but you haven't heard anything yet until you hear the regular version. Unfortunately, non-fans of Oakenfold will probably be upset still.

And then there is the spoken part... in a very sensual tone, so is the laugh.

Haven't I seen you somewhere before?

    You look familiar

    You wanna' dance? Yeah.

I guess I just don't recognize you with your cloths on (laughs)

    What are you waiting for?

Reminds me some of her spoken parts in Everybody. It's really layered in this mesmerizing rave instrumental. One can really escape within this song. But of course, I had one listen, so the excitement of just hearing it, probably has blindsided me.

Definitely a raving dance anthem with a throbbing beat. It will go to #1 on most charts... even the club charts in the U.S. And most definitely COULD be a big hit on U.S. radio stations if they'd get off their asses and play the song. When listening to the song, you forget all about that many of the lyrics are borrowed or are similar to her past hits.

While it's easy to compare this song to old past hits, but after listening to it, it's a song all on it's own. It's hard to explain... it's like she channeled all her best dance songs and created something new. And I must say, the more I think about this, it could blow up as a huge sensation much like "Vogue" did.

Let me just say if you enjoyed her dance songs that were huge hit such as "Holiday", "Into The Groove", "Vogue", "Hung Up", "Jump" and "Deeper and Deeper", you're going to love this.

EDIT TO ADD... there's a "Celebration Casting" mp3 of the song floating around. It barely audible, but it's closest I can get to sharing with you what I heard in HQ:

  5. The clerk at FYE looked in to the release list and told me there would be a special edition CD with a DVD. of course he said all was subject to change by the lable.

I'm sure they are anticipating a DVD to accompany it. But I am not going to hold my breath to be anything substantial. American Life was supposed to have a DVD accompany it and up until recently, several sources still listed it as a special edition.

Anyway, I liked the teasers. I'm just curious how and why Madonnalicious and Madonnatribe got these. Quite possibly, it's a new strategy... use the fan sites to help promote. Lord knows they can't bother to update Madonna.com with anything new until fan sites verify it first... so why not? LOL!

  6. The 20 seconds didn't sound like a direct lift from the dub, but the music is pretty similar from one section or so. Don't dubs usually arise from dance mixes these days? If the single is straight-up dance, though, maybe not so much of a difference between the album version and dub.

You know... it can very well be a dub much like her earlier hit's dubs which pretty much sounded like the original mix, but extended.

I suspect this dub we've heard is pretty close to the original with a little extra!

  7. remember ?

she not in because of her naked photo in playboy

but "crazy for you" beat the "we are the world "down on billboard single chart

    haha

Yeah ha ha ha! You're right Madonna's song did beat out "We Are The World"... AFTER it was already #1 for four weeks prior. "Crazy For You" only topped the charts for one week.

Chances are that "Crazy For You" probably would have reach #1 on the Billboard charts earlier if not longer if it wasn't for "We Are The World". But since both songs were popular that spring, it played out the way it did.

And as someone else stated before me.... that nude photo in Playboy came out after the song was recorded, released as well as it hitting #1 on the billboard charts!!

  8. Where are all the haters in this thread? Maybe they don't want to admit that they actually like what they hear after so loudly declaring that the song was garbage based on the 20-second clip :)

Give them time. Not all of them have checked in since it leaked. Also, I suspect the majority of them are probably playing it a zillion times, sucking it up and then bam... all of a sudden it's time to pick it apart. Meanwhile, they are ready for something new, begging/hoping that it will be better.

Mark my words, this song will be sooooo old to them before it even hits the radio!!

  9. The Hollywood remix is killer!

I have to agree. The mix they used for the tour is just great. I know it's one of the remixes on the Maxi, but I forget the title.

As for the question, I really cannot compare. Both are quite different and have produce some great remixes. I really like Stuart because he really was able to take some of her classics on RIT and really work them out to sound amazing. I'm still hoping a full MATERIAL GIRL remix from that era will come out. I doubt it though.

  10. Anyone reckon she will do some guest appearances at clubs to promote Celebrate like she did with Hung Up?

I doubt it! If all goes well, this song will be huge by the time she done touring. I have no doubt every country but the U.S. will play this song to death. Let's hope Warners does a big push for this song on U.S. radio. It really deserves a lot of attention. I can see it being just as successful as "Music". In fact, I like it better than "Music" from what I can tell from the DUB. And I love "Music".

  11. The question is... will the U.S. get on board with playing this track? I hope they do because this track is too good to pass up... and I'm just judging it by the DUB.

FANTASTIC!!! I can't stop playing it over and over. It's been awhile since I've done that with a Madonna track.

  12. I can hear why this is comparable to Holiday. Definitely not a sound a like, but it still has that same vibe. A lot of the beats and sounds give you the old school Madonna feel. I bet the remixes of this song will be kick ass as well.

Can't wait to hear the full original. The word is that the original song will surface by next week.

  13. Nope. If "TB" was included, it would mean 5 singles from that album, and there's no room for that. I wouldn't even be surprised if "Open Your Heart" is out as well.

While I understand it's all about making room for other songs, I would say that those five singles were during a time she was really successful. If we're talking about eliminating any of the True Blue songs to make room for less successful songs such as "Bedtime Stories", "Nothing Really Matters" or even "Jump", it's a pretty much a crying shame.

Though, I do believe "Open Your Heart" will be included. I also get the impression that this collection isn't so much about her BIGGEST hits, but more about the songs that fit the theme of "Celebration"... fun party songs where you "dance and get up and do your thing". Though, it's hard to imagine a career retrospective without including songs like "Crazy For You" and "Live To Tell".
