  1. Well, people are going to believe what they want. But I figured that the pic wasn't authentic. I'm just amazed how many fans are convinced that image was real when many have seen pics of her just recently and some have seen her LIVE quiet recently, and she didn't look like that.

But again, some people prefer to believe anything printed as well as enjoy making her look bad!!

  2. I'm hoping the whole thing will have the air of the remix

Which remix is that? Oakenfolds?? If so, it does, but the more I read from fans here, so many are too fickle. I really don't get all the comments regarding the song sounds "dated" and it sounds like "Cascade", etc. when they are relying on two clips which are from the chorus. I've heard the full song. I certainly don't get the same vibe, but then again, I try not to dissect the song to death. I just try to enjoy it.

  3. I honestly don't understand the concept up holding off in releasing the physical copy of this song almost a month after it's been on ITUNES and on the radio. I realize physical copies don't sell as well, but hers usually does generate a lot of copies from fans. I would think they would want to count that in the mix to help the song chart better.

  4. I was more excited hearing both the Benassi and Oakenfold remixes. This has that "generic dance" feel to it. I too will reserve judgement until I hear the whole thing.

This sounds like it could be the remix of the Oakenfold remix :dramatic:

Keep in mind, this is pretty much Oakenfold's baby. There is no doubt he came up with the sound to this song along side Joe Echo and Ian Green. The original will sound much more closer to the dub/12 inch remix he did.

The clip is no more different than the 20 second clip we got a while ago, except it is not the chorus that runs into the speaking part which is pretty much the middle of the song.

  5. Hey Lucky, that's a cool image. I posted that image here a few days back. I'm not sure if the member who made this, posts here, but he posts at a few other known Madonna communities. But I agree, it was the whole triple head in different colors that stood out to me. It's quite beautiful. It reminds me of the Justify My Love cover which I also have as a humongous wall poster.

Anyway, most everywhere else this was posted, this image was favored by a lot by fans. But anyway, we all have our opinions.

  6. Very awesome work guys. However, brace yourself for the incoming slaughtering comments you'll receive in regards of your creations.

Whatever happens... just know, there are fans who still appreciate your creativity and inspiration from the one artist we all equally appreciate and enjoy. ;)

  7. the copycats are forgetting that what makes the original cover artsy and good is that it takes two pictures and an artistic eye to make something good.

Most of these covers you are seeing are fans just having some fun. No one is trying to be a "copy cat". In the end, they are just showing their own vision and appreciation for Madonna.

  8. It's like I stepped into the Anti-Madonna forum. Who needs Madonna haters when there are Madonna fans!

Honestly, is this what some fans have resorted too?? Criticizing every aspect of her life. Any idiot who has been to her shows, know that her arms don't look like that.

  9. Am I the only one who thinks that the whole "US radio hates Madonna" thing is severely exaggerated? If radio hated her half as much as some people like to believe, her recurrent play would suffer more than it is.

Ask yourself what stations play her music the most? You can bet most of the top 40 popular stations do not play much of her stuff. It's the stations that gear to the older audiences or retro stuff that focus a lot on her "recurrent". In fact, the popular station around here used to (I don't know if they still do it since I don't listen to radio anymore) play 80's music @ the lunch hour. They took requests. I recall at least Madonna played daily on that retro hour.

  10. She is a product of the media so of course that makes her public property for discussion. That's the whole reason we are here on a website dedicated to her. The only 'bandwagon' exists in your mind. I will express my opinion about her as I see fit regardless of what an uptight individual thinks.

You need to lighten up a bit and not takes things so personally. Go out, find some friends and have some fun and stop focusing on the occasional comment that doesn't lick Madonna's butt and perhaps concentrate on the positive comments. That is why we have an ignore function on this forum. Your focus is negative. Methinks we should swap usernames!

Oh what a laugh. You turn this into a personal attack. And LOL to saying my "focus is negative" when I'm not the one who is criticizing and making nasty remarks.

You've lost the plot man! Later!

  11. Oh c'mon. The arms look hideous and unfeminine...there's no denying it. Go look see the comments on other sites like TMZ and Perez Hilton...they are worse. Some go as far as to say she looks like she is dying of AIDS and that she's on steroids. We all know it ain't true so don't get your knickers in a knot sauerkraut. That's the nature of digital media today.

Hey, I see it this way... it's the people who are going on and on about how awful she looks who are getting their "knickers in a knot of sauerkraut". It may look hideous and unfeminine to you, but that isn't how I see it. Yes, it's not as common to see women as fit as Madonna, looking like she does, but I've never known Madonna to fit the mold of what people think women should look like. She's always walked, dressed and looked to the beat of her own drum.

What I do know is that Madonna is probably much more healthier and stronger than almost anyone criticizing the way she looks. That to me proves some are "green with envy". "Hideous" is a society term for what people do not accept as norm, yet turns to negativity. Sad, because why everyone sits and judges the way she looks, you don't see her publicly (on-line) criticizing how others look.

One last thing... just because other people are criticizing her far worse, doesn't mean you should jump on the same band wagon!!

  12. I just can't imagine US radio playing this - too European, too dancey, too gay (in their opinion). It doesn't tick the box of angry teenage rock group, RnB/Hip Hop or whiney-assed rocklite chick or The Eagles. I agree too that 4M wouldn't have been such a huge success without T&T but that is a problem with the US charts.

Times are changing and online is where it's at. The radio stations will lose market share as kids switch to Spotify and LastFM to hear the songs they want so get on there folks and request them!

Since I've heard the actual original version, I can say that I'm more on the fence regarding U.S. playing this song. There is a big possibility U.S. radio will get on board with this one. I remember that I doubted that "Music" would gain the success it did in the U.S. But it did!! And seeing they are playing a lot of acts like Lady Ga Ga, it's possible, they will play this if they play it from the music perspective, rather look at it as "she's too old for radio".

That said, I don't even listen to radio anymore. I find new music on the internet. And I simply play my own collection whether I am in the car or at home.

  13. No. My bad. She has the arms of a 150 year old!

LOL! I don't believe I've ever seen a person at the age of 150. The people I've seen who reach 100 + do not have arms anything like that.

But I guess you must live up to your username, don't you?

  14. ^ in the US, 1 or 2 weeks of repression can help... it helps to let the entire nation be aware of the existence of a new song at first...

I mean, usually, the ones that have access to M leaks that happen in the first weeks are the fans that'll buy it in iTunes repressed or not...

The loyal fans plus the casuals that are made aware of CELEBRATION's existence in the 1st or 2nd weeks will have the combined purchase of its download availability in its first week thus having a chance at a higher chart position... sadly WBR doesn't care... I believe it's the T&T factor that made 4MINUTES a smash even without any repression... airplay points is not the focus of repressing the song at downloads, it is more of letting the casuals be made aware of its existence before releasing it for higher first-week sales

I have to agree. There is no doubt in my mind if 4 Minutes just featured Madonna, the song would have not charted so high and probably got all the airplay it did. Then again, it wouldn't be the same song either if neither contributed to the song. In fact, it probably wouldn't have existed.

If I was to be realistic... in the U.S., Madonna doesn't necessarily have the same impact to pull off a #1 on her own anymore. So we can only hope that WBR and Madonna really go all out in getting this song played on radio as well let the general audience know how great a song this is. I personally think this is a great song for U.S. radio. It's just a lot of radio stations play that "age game" time and time again. Many people will recall when they requested previous songs in the past, that radio DJ's acted like they never heard of the song or laughed at the request. I know that was definitely true when "Hung Up" was first released. Radio was so hesitant in playing that song.

I do think "Celebration" could be more appreciated than "Hung Up" on radio. I do feel like this could be a repeat of her "Music" single success. Not sure if it will hit #1 for several weeks, but it could hit #1 if given a chance.

  15. Find some pap pics of her during the DWT and there is not a big difference in her muscle tone. Bitch has been BUFF for many many years. In fact it could be argued that she looked "too buff" in some pics as far back as BAT....hell, I'm sure you could even find one of her looking a bit manly from WTG tour era if you dig hard enough. BOTTOM LINE is....the pic in this thread is OBVIOUSLY a unflattering pic. Why the dramatics over it? Tomorrow she'll be at some function and she will look dainty, fresh and cunty and people are going to say how gorgeous she looks. Come on now....you've been here long enough, you know how the cycle goes.

I wasn't going to comment in this thread because the whole bashing of Madonna by fans is just so tiring. But you raise a very good point!! We all know pics don't always do people justice as in real person. Over the course of the years we've had pics of her where people claimed she was too skinny, too manly, malnourished. In fact, I recall last year about this time there was this image of where some tabloids tried to make her out like she was too thin, malnourished and sick. Remember the pic where she was leaving the Kaballah center with Lourdes and her face looked sunk in and she looked quite pale:

    madonna-fug.jpg

Yet she was on tour at this time, does anyone recall her looking this bad really? Obviously several things factor in this image... bad lighting, she looks immensely tired and she doesn't appear to be wearing any make-up. Not only that, it's a still image captured right at the wrong time. I am sure many of us had pics where we believed we looked our best, but someone snapped an image of you and you looked horrible... simply because of the expression on your face or what not.

The fact is... no one can gain that much muscle tone and be malnourished or too skinny. The new pics from July 26th the DAILY MAIL is going on claiming she's "gone too far" do not show me that she's too skinny. She's always been very thin for many years. In person she looks even smaller. But if you look closely, you can see her stomach is not as flat and you see skin hanging out of the back of her pants.

  16. hmm. It does sound slightly different, kind of slower but generally the same. It's hard to tell.

    That's a good thing

There are different breaks in the song. And the Pacha version seems like it has more of a orchestra feel and yes slower. The Benassi mix has more synthesis and faster. In fact, I believe the Benassi mix we've been hearing is actually an edit version of the actual longer mix.
