  1. Fake. Look at the spine. Someone did a horrible cut job with the logo that they took from the front cover.

    Will people ever learn???

You're right, but as for the track listing it's pretty tight. Each CD has 18 tracks which is plausible, but I suspect if they could fit 19 tracks on both, the inclusion of "Lucky Star" and "Open Your Heart" should be there. Those were two big hits for her, so it's just strange to think she would not include them as well.

  2. Cool. You make it sound really interesting.

It is. The problem is that people are putting too much emphasis on a 20 second clip and a poorly recorded remix of the song and then comparing it to the DUB. Of course, that is all they got to go on, so it's understandable, but for the life of me I cannot fathom how anyone can say they aren't going like the song after just hearing about 20 seconds? What's even more crazier, it's THE CHORUS of the song. The chorus pretty much stays true to itself in all the mixes. Of course, each mix has it's own flavor and production, but there is so much more to this song than that 20 second clip which has leaked and is indeed the front part of the original song. It's the first time the chorus is heard in the song.

I look at it this way... some of you are going to be knocked off your feet, wondering why you even doubted simply over that 20 second clip, while others will just never be satisfied. And I'm fine with the fact some people just may not dig this song, but I think it really becomes an issue if you're just constantly nagging on everything she does now.

Trust me... "Celebration" is a true homage to her dance hits, without actually reproducing the same sound and/or song. It's got the vibe of Everybody/Into The Groove/Holiday/Where's The Party/Vogue/Get Together/Jump/Deeper and Deeper all wrapped up into one song. And if you've enjoy all or most of those songs, you're going to love this.

  3. But how do you know which version you heard?

How do you know it wasen't the Benny remix or a Paul remix? In the another post u said the Benny remix is the one which sounded like what u heard.

It wasn't the Benny remix I heard, nor the DUB that's been leaked. The 20 second leak is the chorus on the front half of the original version. But of course the chorus sounds pretty much the same on the DUB. Yet as mentioned, the DUB is remixed. Trust me!! You're all going to flip when you hear the original version. And as usual some people will never be satisfied once they hear it.

Focus on the fact that a lot of different sounding remixes are coming from this single. ;)

  4. apparently the album version is even BETTER

It is! Don't let the 20 second leak fool you regarding this nonsense some are trying to make with "Cascade". Once they hear the full song, they'll realize their mistake. But yes, the 20 second leak is the front part of the original version. Then it continues to build up until the climax. It's excellent!!

  5. LOL I know...I was just adding to your point... :) I just miss the days of MTV NEWS when Kurt Loder or people of credible music knowledge were reporting.

Oh, I just missed the fact they played videos nearly around the clock. At least when they added original programing to their channel in the 80's, they releated it to music. For the life of me, I don't know how they can call themselves "Music Television" when a few hours out of the whole day they actually play videos. The same goes for Vh1. At least, if they were looking for original programing... make it MUSIC related. Mtv shouldn't have gone the reality route. The newer generation has no idea now what it was like when we had a channel that played videos around the clock (unless they pay an extra fee for the sister paid networks).

  6. how can she be jumping on the band wagon when she IS the band wagon? R&B/Dance is her roots. This new generation of MTV NEWS writers need to read up before they speak up.

I didn't say she was jumping on the bandwagon. I was simply commenting on what MTV stated. I agree. She is the "bandwagon". Well said. ;)

  7. I think MTV articles are pretty accurate in their assessment of Madonna. Though, they are just speculation like the rest of the internet world that she's collaborated with LIL WAYNE. And even so, I think it's cool they actually say something positive about HARD CANDY.

As for "jumping on the bandwagon"... I find that quite silly since the beginning of her career, she's brought in people who were popular.... "Nile Rogers" and "Baby Face" anyone!!

  8. According 2 the WEA database the following titles r on 'sell hold'

    GHV2

    TRUE BLUE

    THE IMMACULATE COLLECTION

    SOMETHING TO REMEMBER

so TIC is NOT deleted..Ouf :fag:

Interesting! U.S. ITUNES still has all of these albums available. Oddly... the tracks available for TIC are not the exact versions that are found on the CD format. Just various remixes or edits that have been available on other past formats. For instance, "Lucky Star"... it's the "U.S. Remix Version" from the 12 inch/Maxi single running @ 7:15. Another example "Like A Prayer" is actually the extended mix which is from the MAXI single. I guess to the casual fan it really doesn't matter since they could go to the original albums to buy the original mixes... but IMMACULATE COLLECTION was designed to offer something extra special to the songs yet keeping the originality intact to them.

  9. have you heard the 20 sec clip?

its very different than the video mix

and we can only assume that the 20 second clip is the album version

The 20 second clip is indeed the first part of the song that I heard the other day in HQ. These links to the song from the filming of the video is not the same thing I heard.

Also, the video may very well have a different mix like the one floating around, but at this time I think it's just speculation because that was heard at the filming. If they were just filming people dancing and having a good time, it could be to almost any song while later they could edit in the actual song into the video they put together.

  10. Seems like the remix we've all heard is going to be used for the video and not the version heard in the 20 second clip.

That or maybe it's being confused with the fact that a remix was used while filming the video with fans, so now the rumor is that the remix will be used for the video.

Either way, I don't care. This song is the "shit".

  11. No I am not joking AT ALL. I am SICK and TIRED of all this NEGATIVITY.

You're getting worked up over this a little too much. In fact, this is the first time in a long time I actually made a non-appreciative comment. And I was just being honest... not negative.

Let people have their say. It's not like I said I hate it. I just think the pic isn't flattering.

If you doubt my enthusiasm, then take a look at this very ENTHUSIASTIC thread I posted: http://forums.madonnanation.com/index.php?showtopic=27343

  12. I actually like the photo used there, but I think the concept for the official artwork is better. Take that picture, use the original concept, and you have the perfect cover.

Yep. Minus the big plump lips. LOL! I just feel the other one has this cold and lifeless expression to her face. She looks like she's disgusted. But yeah, I love the whole concept. I just don't think the artist captured a flattering expression.

  13. And stop with the "the pic is not flattering" drama.Madonna is not Britney Spears, she's not the pretty girl in pop music. She's the trash pop punk icon goddess. And she looks amazing on the cover.

People are entitled to their opinion. I'm just being honest. The image just isn't flattering with the lifeless expression on her face. She looks pissed or maybe disgusted on the cover.

As said, I like the concept, but the artist made her look quite lifeless and cold looking on the cover of the album.

And I agree, the lips would have to go on the image I posted.

  14. The 20 second clip is from the beginning of the song, so like he says maybe it grows and swells into what we hear in the LQ. I'm absolutely in love with what I heard of it, beginning at "put your arms around me" it just sounds amazing. I think because we already had the dub for quite a while, hearing her going into the chorus is already almost anthemic.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. ;)

  15. large.jpg

I love the concept, but I must admit the picture isn't very flattering. I think it's the dark eyes for me. As well as the "eh" expression on her face. But again, it's a cool concept because I see that the artist was trying to capture a combination of looks here.

I'm curious? I think a cool marketing strategy for this project is to have several different album covers with different looks in this style. Make them collectible. I know there will be a lot of die hard fans who collect them all. I know I would (as foolish as it sounds).

  16. Okay that 20 second leak is actually at the beginning of the song, at the end of the second verse leading into the main chorus.

But keep in the mind, that 20 second leak is just the main hook of the song. As the song goes on, the dynamics really change with all the vocals until it kicks back in the main chorus again. But yeah, I do believe the 20 second leak is extracted from the front part of the HQ version I heard.

  17. im going to bed, and i dont care if i sound like a bitch, but i really doubt you even heard the song

Are you speaking to me? Oh trust me, I've heard it. But of course, you can think what you like. I can only share what I heard from the one time I heard it. My mind is in such a whirlwind from it, that I still cannot believe that I got the chance to hear it myself.

  18. I can't answer that questions because I was only 4 years old when I heard Vogue for the first time. From what I have heard in clear HQ of Celebration it sounds like that cheap DJ Sammy/Cascada stuff that is popular with the Jersey guido crowd. The low quality leak from the video shoot sounds like a darker variation of that.

Again, I forget how the 19 second version sounded like. But I thought it just contained part of the chorus? When listening to the the Dub now, it sounds more like they repeated much of the chorus lines over and over. The original HQ version I heard, had much more of a kick to it. I recall it had a heavier thumping beat. It had a lot more vocals layered over what the DUB had. In fact, I recall like a chanting choir in some of it.

The more I think about it, the DUB is much more stripped down.

  19. What I'm hearing in the low quality leak sounds vastly different from what I expected. Still gaytastic and kinda cheap, but way catchier and darker than I thought it would be. Can't wait to hear the real thing!

Can I ask you something did you feel that way when you heard "VOGUE?" That it was "gaytastic and kinda cheap"?? I'm just asking because for some reason this song really pops out when I think of what I heard from the HQ. And don't mistake me, I really don't think "Celebration" sounds like "Vogue", but for some reason powerful punch/impact "Vogue" had reminds me a bit of "Celebration".

And yes, it is quite catchy and that is why I feel American radio could easily play this considering we have artists like LADY GA GA dominating the radio.

  20. the full song that you heard, did it sound like the 20 second clip?

Honestly, I cannot even remember that 19 second clip anymore. I deleted it once I got the DUB and played that over and over and over.

All I can say that the DUB really doesn't do the song justice. The more I think about it, all the layered vocals really added a whole new vibe/element to the song. The main chorus is definitely what you hear in the DUB. But all the singing versus in between really changed the dynamics of the song from what I recall. Even the spoken parts!!! The singing you hear on the DUB (other than the chorus) is like ONE layer of all the vocals that I recall throughout the rest of the song.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense. It was just one listen.

  21. neutrocks; do you know if this is a remix or not? Because it doesn't sound (what I can hear atleast) really like the 20 sec clip.. this sounds more clubby and dark while that one sounded.. ehm.. Cascada

you heard it in HQ so you must have heard if it was the same sound to it? So if it wasn't.. do you know it's a remix you heard?

I can't make out much of that low quality version I posted from the casting. But what I heard from the HQ... it's very clubby as you described. And the more I recollect, that whole mid section does sound a bit dark and mystique especially her spoken parts. Almost orgasmic!! I really don't know what "Cascada" is, but I do know the HQ version I heard really reminds me of many of her songs put together. The whole spoken part is pretty sensual... a bit like she was on Jusitfy My Love, but sounding more playful. It's hard to describe from the one listen. And as mentioned, I can't make much out of that low quality, but from the parts I can make it sounds very much like what I heard.

  22. That "put your arms around me" part does sound kidna heavenly.

Can anyone make out this part:

Haven't I seen you somewhere before?

    You look familiar

    You wanna' dance? Yeah.

I guess I just don't recognize you with your cloths on (laughs)

    What are you waiting for?

Is that the spoken part? Cause looking at the lyrics, it's drowned out. Also, the supposed opening verse isn't in that clip, correct?

As for the sound- since it's such low quality, it's tough to tell how it sounds- that 20-second leak was much clearer, but, who knows, maybe it was from the dub?

Yes, it is spoken. In a very sensual tone, so is the laugh. Reminds me some of her spoken parts in Justify My Love. It's really layered in this mesmerizing chanting instrumental. Like everything is going in slow motion!! It's hard to describe from the one listen I heard.

Before I knew it, the song was over.
