  1. I thought all of the press coverage today, was supposed to be about Lady Gaga, and her star making performance last night? At least that's what her loon base kept going on and on about. :lmao:

Thank you Kanye, Madonna, and Janet for sparing us that.

You realize, that Madonna is hardly a mention, other than among the Madonna base. The same goes for Janet. Kayne is the big story here. And why? Because as usual, negativity prevails. People prefer to talk about the negativity than focus on the good. Granted, Beyonce came out as the hero and Miss Taylor graciously got her acceptance speech, but the fact it's based on something negative that happened, it's a story.

Yet, we have Lady Ga Ga who just did her thing and did a smashing job at it, and it definitely has gotten lost in the shuffle since what's a better story than showing up with ridiculous costumes when you have some asshole who steals a mic from a 17 year old when she makes her very first acceptance speech at the VMA's and a 3 month long tribute to some creepy accused pedophile.

Honestly, I don't mean the above as disrespect, but I am just putting it in perspect here. People love to concentrate on the negativity and the only attention GA GA is getting is by few who want to rip her to shreds because of her silly outfits when it's really not surprising that she showed up that way. It's part of her act.

  2. Madonna hasn't appeared on TV yet. We're talking about the pre show. If someone looks like a fucking asshat, people are going to talk about it. Would it be any different if I was talking about Taylor Swift or Leighton Meester? No. We can talk about whatever we want. Okayalrightgoodbyethankyou.

Funny you chose me to quote when many people before and after me were much more blunt about getting back on topic. And my point was that some people just can't help to bag other artists, rather stick to the discussion regarding Madonna.

What do you do around here again?

Anyway, Madonna looked HOT!! Her speech was awesome!!

  3. she looks ridiculous!

    and you all know it!

Of course she does, but I don't look at it as a negative thing. She stands out. It's part of her act. It's not like we're surprised at the fact she's dressed like that. She's been doing it since she came on the scene. It's all part of the act. Just like acting like Kermit is a real live frog that talks, etc. Just enjoy it! That's what entertainment is about... enjoying it.

  4. Well, you can also say that MTV abandoned Madonna in the 90's as well. As a matter of fact, they abandoned all music artists cuz they completely stopped playing all music.

As far as tonight's show goes, my understanding is that the MJ tribute will only be at the beginning. I don't think it will be scattered throughout the show. I'm sure people will mention him in their speeches though. But as far as the tribute goes, it sounds like it's only at the beginning of the show. The whole show isn't dedicated to him, just the first performance.

Don't disagree with anything you said really. I agree how they have abandoned the whole concept of their channel for "Reality" shows.

And i hope you're right that it's just a portion of the show, but I have sneaky suspicion it's going to be just more than the beginning.

  5. i doubt it. it's gonna be all about MJ.

Yep. They are going ram Michael Jackson down our throat all through this show. And while, I don't object MTV paying tribute to him because like Madonna, he helped paved the way for their channel.

I still would love to see Madonna perform something of her own, rather just doing a speech and/or tribute of some sort. I mean MTV really abandoned Jackson in the 90's, so it's just odd now they are going to kiss up to his legacy now that he's past on while all the other artists who have been honored will be playing second fiddle to all this. I feel bad for many of the artists who are supposed to be honored as well. On the other hand, what a better way for these people to get exposure by appearing on the show dedicated to Michael Jackson. I am sure this will be one of the most watched MTV awards shows in many years.

  6. I don't really care what Mtribe said in the past, present or future to make them a reliable source or not. I never said they weren't reliable. I just said they aren't always accurate, nor are they an official source, but some prefer to enjoy twisting words. For me, it's not a contest of websites. I think some people are so far up Tribes ass as much as they are up Fanzines/DM. In the end, it doesn't matter. All the sites are known to post info that have come true. Who said it first? I could give a flying fuck. But all sites (including Tribe) always posts info that isn't always accurate, yet may shape their info until it's accurate. I've seen it done over the years with all the popular fan sites.

The only site that I've notice that doesn't usually post anything until it's confirmed, it's Madonnalicious. They play it safe. Not only that, I appreciate their reporting of events because it's not about getting the "exclusive" first. It's about informing the Madonna fan without leading them on for weeks on end. Those sites are the reason we have threads that go on for pages and pages, speculating because one site will divulge something they've heard which is basically hearsay. I don't doubt there isn't some accuracy in what is posted, but that doesn't mean they are an "official source" or always accurate.

  7. Oh baby they know more thatn us.

You all guys are still thinking what they post is not true?

Oh and was neytorcks quoting me?Because he's on ignore but it really looks like his usual shit towards me :lmao:

    Oooh, that hurt!! NOT!!! LOL!

But I didn't say what Madonna tribe isn't always true. I just said they weren't always accurate. The "usual shit" is coming from you, but you and some others can't take a differing opinion if your life was staked on it, without coming off attacking someone (childishly altering usernames). :manson:

Anyway, back on topic... I hope she does show up @ VMA's and I hope she performs which only will prove Tribe isn't always accurate.

  8. In other news we have heard that it is 100% sure Madonna will attend the MTV Video Music Awards this year but unfortunately she is not going to perform any song.

    http://www.madonnatr...rticle&sid=4690

You know what... you crack me up with your little crusade to prove Madonna Tribe is some official source for news. Whether Madonna shows up, performs or doesn't show up isn't the point. The point is that you insist that Madonna Tribe is always correct. They aren't!! I have nothing against Tribe, but I am able to use my noodle to know that Tribe is known for having some reliable info, but they aren't always accurate. I mean; any damn person can shape the news they post until they get it right!!

This isn't a fuckin' contest! So get off your Madonntribe horse and stop acting like they are some official source!!!:wacko:

  9. Madonnatribe said she's going to be there. So it's true.

    LOL!

Anyway, I think the set list Holiday Guy posted (mentioning contradiction) seems fake too or not complete. First of all, it's usually a three hour show. Now, I know a number awards will be presented, but I'd think the set list would be slightly longer. And why would Britney be performing TWICE? First an old song when she's got several new songs that were nominated that should be performed? And then what the hell is "Heart Love Destroyed"?? She has no such song.

Also (and maybe it's a typo), the The All-American Rejects song is "Gives You Hell" not "Gives Your Hell"

  10. Probably B.S.... since we aren't sure the relationship between the two was that sour in the first place. I suspect she wasn't happy with him. And if I were I wouldn't be speaking to him after that.

Seriously, she could still be estranged from him and get on with her family. If her siblings or parents want to continue getting on with them, that is their business, but she can easily keep her distance from him. Maybe a little harder a family gatherings, but she could simply just not speak to him.

Honestly, I can't see why any family member would approve of what he did and have a hard time understanding why Madonna is pissed.

  11. she has no time for any breaks now. She is 51 and has to keep it going until she is at least 60 :boxing:

Yep, I think the same. I have a feeling, we're going to see new stuff from her much more often. Of course, it probably won't get the same recognition and acclaim as her past work, but that's what happens to aging artists.

I can't help to think of Dolly Parton when I think of Madonna. Dolly is still kickin'. This woman puts an album out almost every year. Her music is just as great as in the past, sometimes even better. But being an aging artist, she doesn't get the same attention. However, it seems Madonna still has a little more edge to her, so she'll probably always get some attention for much she does. But I think we're going to see Madonna releasing a lot more music and touring more often. I also think we're going to see a lot more products she will endorse. She's going where the money is. While I don't doubt she's always going to be creative, it's also business for her. She'll always have a fan base that will follow her, no matter how much some fans bitch and moan.

  12. "Frozen" is definitely a cool song, but I rarely listen to it much. It's a bit boring. And I think the song "Ray of Light" upstaged it and seems much more popular among the fan base than "Frozen". I don't believe we can say this is her greatest piece of work since "Like A Prayer". It's definitely a highlight in her career, but she will always be remembered for mostly the dance songs and a few big ballads from her hey day.

  13. I'm sure it would boost sales, but Oprah is so uncool.

I don't even think it matters if Oprah is "cool" or not. You're right... it will help generate sales if she does it. So I don't object to it. I would love to see her on Oprah. But I would think "new work" would be something Madonna prefer to talk about and perform than the past. I would think the GH's should pretty much stand alone. Certainly, it helps to do whatever promotion, but I think if she's going to do any, she needs to PERFORM "Celebration" or "Revolver" or even something classic, rather just sit and chat. It would motivate people more to buy the music, if they hear something they like.

  14. What is the point of attending if she isn't going to perform? Maybe she's planning to present or something? But honestly, I'd think this would be a good way to get in some extra promotion for the new GH's. She doesn't even have to perform anything new. She could easily just go up and perform an old song from her tour. I know fans will bitch about it, but it'll be new to a lot of the viewers and people attending. Even more, she can easily change it up a bit, so it will be something a little new.

  15. I love how all these threads turn into a bashing of Mariah Carey.

In any event, I don't think she should do it. I'll be shocked if she does it too. If she's going to do an interview with OPRAH, she should save it for a new studio album. Her next album will probably be a drastic change and being the deal is through LIVE NATION and the distributor may still be WARNERS, she's probably going to need all the publicity she can for her next studio album.

  16. Theyre talking about this clip i think, around

    minute

Well, I almost figured it was BS, but then I saw this footage. A little scary to see her just go limp like that for a moment. I can tell prior to that moment, her eyes look like something wasn't right. Maybe she was just exhausted. It's quite possible she dozed off. Sounds quite remarkable and strange at the same time to think that, but I'm sure she knows every step, etc. in her sleep.

I hope she's okay. I just hope that she just over-exerted her self that day. Thank goodness, that she has tonight and tomorrow to go. Oh wait... tonight is probably over with now.

  17. Now this is gonna cause some confusion...

This promotional 2CDR album "Celebration" was released by Warner Music Japan

on 28th AUG 2009. It is the pre-release for the Japanese 2CD album which will be released commercially on 30th SEP 2009. The most interesting point is the track listing on this promo. "Burning Up" and "Hollywood" are replaced by "You Must Love Me" and "American Life".

Also the track order is different than the announced by madonna.com.

Fake... and "Revolver" would be all over the place by now. There is no way they are going to release this a month early in another country.

  18. Can't wait for the FREE DOWNLOAD. A great way to promote the video by allowing anyone a free download. Hopefully they will not hide it among her videos and have some sort of banner on their front store page.

Oh, I can see it now... some impatient person is going to be pissed it's not up at 12 AM or such and then probably the first one to bitch and moan about it. LOL!!
