maybe they are gonna send the Celebration feat. Akon CD to radio with Revolver as a "B" side and hope for the best with both songs featuring popular radio artists at the current moment.
Actually, it will be among the physical copy of Revolver single when it's released. So I guess it's the B-side in theory, even though B-sides pretty much don't exist anymore.

I love her eyes^^^ Wow! So gorgeous to say the least!!
And I agree with the poster who said he'd rather see photos like this for her album covers!!!
Yes, but can you see the uproar if her next album cover used one of these photos from the photoshoot even if it was one that wasn't seen yet. People would call her lazy or whatever because she didn't do a specific photo shoot for the album.

^ They DID arrive together; you can see both of them entering the restaurant with the security TOGETHER. Look at the video that Lori posted above. So "he didn't stop by at her table to say hello", as they obviously arrived together to dine.
First off, it's hard to even see who it is. But I suspect it is them. But isn't it possible that Madonna knew he was coming, and met him and the two were escorted to the table of friends she was supposedly dining with? We know nothing here. And I don't think Liz knows all the facts either, but I am not going to call her a liar based on the fact the two were supposedly seen together escorted to another part of the restaurant. The two DIDN'T arrive together. If anything, they both were escorted to another part of the restaurant. And the two didn't leave together either. They could of only been together for the time Liz stated.
-
IS NOW MY DESKTOP image. AWESOME!!
-
See I knew it Liz was obviously lying but for what reason I don't know. She could've just said they met and had dinner and insist their just friends but having eyewitness accounts plus video of them together it's obvious it was just them.
But they didn't arrive together and that scene where supposedly Madonna is being seated, we don't know what was going on there? I couldn't really tell who the people were supposedly being seated. There was a blond, but that doesn't mean it was both Sean and Madonna being said.
I am not sure why everyone wants to make out like someone is lying here. A couple seconds of them captured entering and exiting the restaurant separately doesn't prove a thing.

Oh cool. I hope a Grammy performance is planned with it. I love Celebration. But, yeah....I would think they'd go with Revolver too. *waits to see what happens*....especially being she's in NYC right now (where she'd be rehearsing soon if she were going to perform)?
I don't think it's going to happen. If so, they are keeping it "hush hush". I don't see the point in doing that though. But maybe they don't want to overplay it?
-
No way radio will give it much of any play- but, if she did perform it at the Grammys, it likely would result in a sales spike.
Oh, I think it has a better chance getting air play on the radio than the original version. And I like the original version. I just think U.S. radio will not play a lone Madonna track anymore. We'll see what the future holds though, because I would say "never say never". Who knew Cher would have scored a huge hit with "Believe" and then had somewhat success with her follow up album.

Not a chance. Too little, TOO late.
In actuality, it's not. As mentioned, many songs and albums in the past have been revived and made a huge success. I'm not saying that this is the case, but obviously Warner seems to be jumping on AKON's popularity right now being featured on songs. Just a little surprised they aren't doing the same with "Revolver" with LIL WAYNE.
-
maybe she's performing it at the grammy's
I wondered the same? Maybe she's planning to do this song with AKON. He currently has two other songs where he's featured on which are getting a lot of exposure on radio: "Sexy Bitch" by Dave Guetta and "Shut it Down" by Pitbull. It seems he's more popular for being "featured" on songs than his own songs. I've noticed LIL WAYNE is the same.
-
I know some of you say "what's the point?" or a "little too late...", etc., etc., but I am curious why Warner is suddenly interested in pushing the single CELEBRATION ft. Akon to radio? According to FMQB.COM the Radio Industry News, it is reporting that Madonna's Celebration remix featuring Akon will impact US Radio on Tuesday 26 January 2010. Not that it's rare to breath new life in a song that pretty much became dead on arrival, but I'm just curious if they are really hoping to make this a hit song, or are they just building up a little interest and hoping for the best? I would think that Revolver would be the song they want to push since it fits radio "as is" with LIL WAYNE who is featured on a lot of popular songs right now. I like the Akon mix. It's a fun mix. I hope radio gives it a chance. Not sure if it will move any more of the CELEBRATION albums, since it's not even the same mix on the album. I suspect it's more about AKON than Madonna here.
So what are your thoughts? Try to be positive about it. This is all we got right now. If we can help by showing support, maybe it will crack the top 40 if not better? It's not impossible and it's not like songs haven't had a second chance in the past.

I'd like to know how long she's contractually not allowed to release a product. It will be four years this year that IGTTYAS was commercially released. And, SURELY the contract with the BA laser disc has expired by now, since laser discs have been irrelevant for, what, 15 years? Especially since a 1991 Billboard article reported that the contract was going to expire in 1992 or so, and that they were planning a proper VHS release back then- guess something happened in the interim to dispute that.
This is why wonder if it's pretty much Madonna's choice of not releasing it because she wants the focus to remain on TRUTH OR DARE. Personally, I rather she released BA on DVD. It will be a hot sell. I don't think it will take away from TRUTH OR DARE, nor it's sales. I mean; how many copies of TRUTH OR DARE selling now? Probably not many.

I highly doubt it means anything, but two old mates catching up. Three and a half hours at public establishment tells me the two were doing just that. I highly doubt the two have spent nearly half that time together since they separated.
But yeah, what a story if the two did get back together.

We're not going to have the Blond Ambition discussion for the 83398748th time, now are we?
Who's having such a discussion? I know I made a brief reference, but please don't dictate what we can or cannot reference to. Thank you very much!

AWESOME!!! These look fabulous! Love to have the second one on my wall as a poster.
-
what I'm saying is there is no lawsuit pending ....
Not saying there is one, but how do you "really" know? You don't! No one knows but those who have some connection to it.
-
The show *was* to air on CBS, and back then, there were rumors of M wanting a commercial-free airing (which would not have happened- it's regular television, after all- only presidential addresses and breaking-news reports air uninterrupted).
Yep. I remember that too. So it's not "Bullshit!".
We'll never know the full truth why this isn't released, but I find it odd that both this concert and Blond Ambition both haven't gotten a conventional release, yet both were proceeded with a documentary. It does make me wonder if Madonna wanted to keep the emphasis on her documentary. Yet, Madonna DID say in an interview once, it will see the light of day. Did she lie? NO! I'm guessing something is preventing the release. And I highly doubt it has anything to do with her being unhappy with the filming.

Found this post on Popjustice
'DVD starts with 10 minutes of footage showing a very enthusiastic crowd, before the lights dim and "The Beast Within" opens the show. "Vogue" and "Nobody Knows Me" are good, maybe because she's lipsynching? Her smile at the camera after she has belted out "Frozen" alone is worth the dvd itself. However, she does sound a bit shouty throughout the song, although she is on key.
Everything about "American Life" is a mess. There's too much going on, nothing is in unison. She fucks up the ending of "Express Yourself". She forgets the last "baby ready or not" line and it shows, she even scrunches up her face, acknowledging the mistake.
"Burning Up" and "Material Girl" have some great crowd shots, she just stands there, concentrating too much on playing her guitar and it really shows.
The way "Bedtime Story" is edited looks very cheesy and amateurish. "Hanky Panky" is ok; however the backdrop distracts from the performance itself. "Deeper and Deeper" is filmed nice, but somewhat dull and "Die Another Day" looks good, but doesn't fit in.
The rest of the dvd is ok, but by no means as good as the brilliant IGTTYAS footage.'
Also I found out why it wasn't released:
Christian Lamb (not to be confused with his dad, Chris Lamb, who has been production manager on all of Madonna's tours) was asked to direct the dvd as he was also the live venue screens director. It was filmed during the two final shows in Lisbon. The main issue was that Madonna felt Christian didn't have a clear vision of how he wanted to present the show, and ultimately, after dozens of edits, she wasn't pleased with the final footage. (He ended up with a special thanks in the IGTTYAS credits and was re-hired as live venue screens director for the Confessions Tour.)
Also, there are possible legal reasons. Hamish Hamilton was hired to direct a live CBS broadcast of one of the European shows, which ultimately didn't materialise because Madonna wanted to have the full show broadcast without any commercial breaks. He later filed a lawsuit against Madonna because he wasn't paid for the pre-production work he had done.
There was also an issue with her then Manager Caresse Henry. Madonna sacked her after finding out she'd been having an affair with Madonna's married bodyguard (not to mention allegations of money laundering), but Caresse was executive producer of the live show, and Madonna didn't want her getting anymore money after she'd been sacked.
Even if any of this is true, I couldn't care less. I just like to have an official version of it. Nothing will replace the feeling of being actually there for three shows for me, but all the mistakes and what not mentioned in this above article means nothing because no entertainer is perfect throughout their show. Every entertainer has pitch issues and messes up their lines, etc. That's what is so great about a live show. You see the actual artist in action on stage. And I've never signed on to being a Madonna fan simply because I think she has a great live voice. Her "Who's That Girl" tour had a lot of bad vocals, but it still was fun to watch and listen to. Madonna is a performer. That's what I like about her. She puts on a great show no matter how shitty her voice may sound for certain songs or what she messes up.

I bought a bootleg DVD from her show in Paris, some people refer to it as the "Parisian Dream" version, it's quite good. Is that the same you're calling Ground Zero?
No, it's different. I have "Parisian Dream" too. It's a pretty good bootleg too.
-
I so want this to leak! I need to see the full thing in professionally shot quality! When it leaks, somebody should put it up on YouTube.
Screw youtube. LOL! I want a torrent so I can burn it to DVD.
-
This isn't a rumor.
Why not elaborate then? I certainly am not claiming it's a "rumor", but I simply stated "buzz". Therefore, it could be simply talk and nothing comes of it or something will happen. But hey, if you have more info, spill. I'm sure many fans would be grateful to hear your input.
-
so your saying that its coming from all 4 of those sites??????????????????????????
fanzine, tribe, licious, and mchile
Again, none of these sites are claiming an official release of the DVD. Just talk that it may leak from copies that have been given to insiders.
-
is this info coming from madonnachile? fanzine? tribe? ?????
I wouldn't say it's "info" as "exclusive official news" from these sites. It's just generated buzz from those forums among others. Even Madonnalicious is talking about it. Again, I am making clear it's just "buzz". I am not claiming this is factual news. Nor am I saying there is any chance in hell we'll see an official physical DVD copy of this concert. All I am saying that it's possible that it will leak soon from what is supposed to be from the official DVD.
-
Right now it's just generated internet buzz with various other fans and fan forums claiming they know for a fact who has a copy and it's just a matter of time before it's leaked. I really hope this isn't another false rumor that some fans are trying to hype up, claiming they know a friend of a friend who has a copy.
That said, I did download a torrent of the GROUND ZERO. I hear this is the best fan made copy leaked. Some fans are speculating this may be what some are confusing this with, but then some say there is a DVD and it hasn't leaked yet.
-
Buzzzzzz.... It's just a matter of time before it leaks on the internet.. the full un-edited show. A number of insiders have a copy of the DVD and are looking to share it on-line. Can't wait and hope this isn't a false rumor.
A new push for CELEBRATION?

Maybe so, but I think what is sad that most fans give up before giving it a chance. Yeah, maybe there is a fat chance in hell, but the fact is that the re-work version with AKON is exactly the type of tracks radio is playing. I just think rather us all sitting around, stating it's "too late", maybe we can help push it on the radio. Again, maybe it won't go nowhere, but it seems the fans won't make an effort anymore and the fact is that if we want any Madonna track to play on radio, we need to do a lot of requests, etc.
And yes, some good promotion behind it would be nice from Warners and Madonna, but then again a lot of the popular songs on the radio right now are not being pushed by a lot of promotion.
