  1. she did one AL already, NEXT!

AL wasn't a PEACE or anti-war album. LOL! Yes, the original AL video and the album artwork gave a different impression. The countless interviews she was roped into talking about politics (not that she was fighting from talking about it) also gave people the wrong impression, but that album was more about her self discovery of materialism and her place in American culture. And in truth, that was really within two songs. The other songs were more about her and who she had become at the time.

  2.

    Goddess

More pre planned Bilderberg/CFR fuckery on the way. Oh well at least she's possibly the only A-list star who won't care about speaking out even if it makes her unpopular. Most of her colleagues are plain dumb, grossly uneducated sheep material (and I am not talking about other popstars because that's quite a given)

Besides people all over the world don't want another non UN authorised expensive meddling affair all over again so I doubt this can make her unpopular, other than getting a couple of malicious articles from the usual suspects (Piers Morgan and the likes)

I think a lot of people seem to be on the same page with her regarding being against any attack. I would suspect Piers Morgan would be too. Yes, his hatred of Madonna will only twist anything she says or does, but I would think her simple message here, he has to admit to agreeing with.

As for other celebrities... I think she could very well have many who back her stance. I suspect her ex-husband, Sean Penn, would be right there in agreement with her. I'm just glad her stance isn't at a time she's really promoting her music like with AL because we all know that the music will get lost in the politics.

I'm more and more curious if her next album will center around this whole "Revolution of Love" stance she's taking. She might as well go for it. It's not like the mainstream media is going to play her new stuff anyway. So why not make an album that is driven by her stance on peace!

  3. Ok let's lay this one to rest once and for all, I'm tired of misinformation all around me, but it's even more infuriating to see Madonna fans who are supposed to admire someone who is pushing them to think for themselves regurgitating the propaganda their mainstream media feeds them.

SYRIA ... it all comes down to religion and oil ... NOT chemical weapons and not national security.

The powers and governments are dealing with oil pipeline issues. Proxy wars have been going on in Syria over the pipelines for years. Saudi Arabia and Qatar have pumped millions upon millions into a proxy war in Syria against Assad over oil/gas pipeline issues. They have failed to win the war so now they want to drag Western powers into it ... the USA mainly, but also the UK and France etc.

Meanwhile, the religious fanatics over there are seeing a Muslim vs Muslim war raging. They aren't seeing the gas and pipelines, they are seeing their own version of Islam 'under attack'. So naturally the different Muslim sides go about slaughtering each other in the name of their god.

The powers use these people so attached to their version of Islam to do the fighting for their geo-political reasons in regard to these oil/gas pipelines. They inflame those already saturated with the 'my Islam is right and yours is wrong so you should die' mantra. This makes a ready made army of people willing to die for their 'cause', when in fact they are dying for oil and gas pipelines and political fighting between all the players over there (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Russia and even China by extension).

It's all about oil pipelines and oil independence and dependence. It's all about religious fanaticism and blindness.

Okay, not sure if you misinterpreted what I posted above, but let me just state again and what Supernatural stated... most people (not even Madonna fans) in the U.S. are pretty much feeling the same way as Madonna. Of course, the core reason behind much of the conflict in the middle east is to do with oil, corruption and religion. Though, that's an entire different discussion.

  4. ALthough I personally agree with her, this has just ensured the extension of her bashing on western media for the rest of her life:

Can't be sure, I agree since it seems a lot of Americans are expressing the same feelings. I'm a bit mixed on the whole deal, but I have to say, that it makes no sense to go in and kill more people, when enough innocent people have suffered at the hands of their own government. Not only that, it's going to upset a lot of other nations that may rise up and try to kick our ass... CHINA anyone. Russia has already mentioned they will not support an attack on Syria either.

  5. Looks fantastic. Love when she get's socially and politically involved. Madonna is one artist who tries to use her influence for the greater good. Whatever comes of it, I'm proud she's doing SOMETHING! More than I can say about most who sit around on their computer, bitching and moaning about the most ridiculous things and details.

  6. She tends to look really great when on tour if she doesn't look exhausted. I guess what I've noticed more and more, that Madonna looks older and not so great when she's wearing a lot of make-up. The dark red lipstick (which has always been her trademark through the years) don't flatter her as well as it use to. She looks better wearing softer and lighter colors. Yet, there are times that the dark red lipstick still comes off well. It might just be all the make-up caked on her face with that lipstick that doesn't look good on her.

  7. There is one reason and one reason only that Donna didn't do the Sticky and Sweet Tour - she was pregnant. Here it is from the horse's mouth:

"I remember when Nicki Richards called me from Madonna's promo tour in New York. She told me that they would be calling me to tour for the Sticky and Sweet tour. I was already pregnant with my 2nd child Luciana. I knew that I would not be able to do the tour."

Why let the truth get in the way of a good story, though?

That's what I had thought. I thought she was pregnant, but couldn't remember when making my last post. And Nicki (the original) had either been pregnant when RIT came a long, I thought or had some other committment. But yeah, some people rather drum up some sort of animosity.

  8. I agree. She's probably wearing them because "her people" told her "No!".

... Or she lost at a high stakes game if Truth or Dare... Or (since she likes serving revenge cold) she's punishing Lola for smoking.

... Or she just likes them. Ain't no thang in my book. I'm warming up to them. :-)

Seriously, "yes men"? LOL! People who say that, I have to ask how long have you been her fan? This woman doesn't give two shits what people say. Just look at TRUTH OR DARE. When she was in Toronto, and her brother warned her she could get arrested if she didn't tone down the Masturbation scene. How did she react? "I'm not changing my fucking show!". She even told her manager on camera when he came in. Madonna doesn't need "yes" men. She is her own "yes" man!!!

  9. "Dishes" isn't an issue; it's the "it-aint-pretty" which gave it a negative slant (when, what she said, wasn't).

Madonna "dumped" Donna? I thought she opted not to continue with the touring- I mean, she was with her for a long time. Eventually, you just move on, professionally.

You're right! If I recall both Nicki and Donna were asked back, but they both actually had other conflicting life issues/schedules. I'm sure after the first time both didn't come back, Madonna figured it would be cheaper to higher someone else to back her up.

I don't see it as a negative article either. And knowing the media, it's possible they punched up what Donna said to make it sound like there was more animosity. I'm sure Madonna did try to share her interest in Kaballism with those she worked with, but I don't believe for a second she pushed it on anyone. It's possible the interviewer embellished/or wrote it to make it sound like that's what Donna thought.

  10. But that's the thing, and Bluejean hit it on the head... there's nothing wrong with doing the 'good girl gone bad' shtick. Fine. Just put together a performance that is actually good, well choreographed and staged, etc.

I feel like so many seem to think that we're criticizing Miley for wanting to shed her past image. No, we're not. She wants to grow up and get rid of that...fine!

Just put together a better performance. Because the other night, it was a fucking mess...and no where near the level of what M or Brit have done in the past.

And if people think it's all the same thing, than my my how the bar has fallen.

But comparing Madonna and Miley is like comparing apples and oranges. Miley is far from the entertainer Madonna is. I guess at this point, I really had no expectations. I didn't see it as a "mess". I think that's quite subjective anyway. I know a lot of people who followed her as Hannah Montana were a bit put off by her stage antics. For me, I never was really interested in who she was as a child star. I also don't believe she's trying to appeal to those sort of people anymore. I also got the impression, that the whole performance was simply staged for Robin Thicke's benefit... to lead into his song. I honestly believe it was meant to come off wild and ridiculous. Those up and arms over it, are taking it too serious. Also, it never cross my mind to compare her performance to Madonna's. Two different artists.

  11. This is a good point however, I think the whole thing with Miley is that her performance was crap compared to the standard set by Madonna. She looked like some girl dancing drunk at a party. The only thing it had in common with Madonna was the provocativeness but you would never see Madonna dancing badly with teddy bears and the like. And that's the point the article makes, is that Madonna drew inspiration from great artists and created art itself. Miley is not artistic in anyway whatsoever.

It was the same deal when Janet flopped that tit out trying to pull a Madonna. But it was just an aimless publicity stunt. Madonna doesn't do aimless. Even the MTV Britney/Christina thing had some kind of underlying message. Madonna is an artist and that's always been what sets her apart.

Regarding Miley, I honestly believe she went on stage to just have fun with no care in the world what anyone thought. In fact, I've been getting that vibe from her for sometime now. She seems to have a strong sense of whom she is and is determined to shed her Disney image. I wouldn't blame her.

The dancing... ah yeah, it was pretty ridiculous, but again, it's obvious she's trying to create this new wild girl persona apart from the Hannah Montana. If she went on VMA's in a proper and respectable manner, I don't think anyone would have gave her a second look. What better way to get people's attention after playing a Disney persona for a number years, by cutting off all her locks and dancing around wildly and ridiculous half naked. She seems to be going through the Young Drew Barrymore stage right now.

  12. I do believe the two were messing around in the studio and quite possibly are wanting to embark on some music career, from the comments they made at Instagram. In fact, didn't Rocco state he was making an album?

But yeah, I think the article is pretty much speculating and bullshit... especially regarding the part that Lourdes is upset with her mom. I think the media wants so bad for Lourdes to be pissed to make Madonna look like a bad mother.

If Rocco is serious about the rap/music career, I can't see Madonna making it that easy for him. I would think she would at least make him work for it. Maybe he is and she's made some deal with him.

  13. I don't really get the big uproar over Miley's appeareance/performance at the VMA's. I'm not claiming I was impressed by it, but I also think Madonna probably would have given Miley a huge high five for what she did. For years, she's been packaged as this goody two-shoes Disney persona. I totally understand that she is wanting to do everything to break from that childhood persona and show she's got appeal beyond young girls. She's twenty years old. And it would be quite hypocritical for me as a Madonna fan to criticize Miley for being overtly sexual for her performance as Madonna has done it many times. I guess some will try to spin as if Madonna did it with more class. And maybe she did, but at the time Madonna was being overtly sexual, she got bashed by the press.

Anyway, I do agree Madonna has set this standard for female pop stars. Before her, most just stood in front of a mic and sang. Madonna brought a lot of vision and creativity to music. Before her, there were just a few such as David Bowie, Grace Jones and to some degree Deborah Harry. Madonna also pushed the boundaries with being sexual and showed she was a strong and powerful woman who couldn't be pushed around. Madonna has the luxury of not being packaged as a brand at the beginning. When she came along, so many people wanted to bottle her persona and try to reduplicate that. Very few have been able to do that successfully.

  14. I haven't listened to radio for the longest time. Though, when I go to my local grocery story, they have their own music station and I hear Madonna almost every visit. They rarely play any music that is current, but recently I heard "Express Yourself". Got a kick out of some woman singing a long. I've also heard "You Must Love Me", "True Blue", and "This Used To Be My Playground". I guess the one that surprise me the most is hearing "Sorry" since it wasn't a huge hit like the others.

  15. I am sure there were women in the audience as well!

Strangely enough I can defend the tit out thing as she has a great body and fabulous jugs, so why not show them off? She just looks terrible in grills, as does everyone.

She's been there and done that. Let her have her fun and stop being so judgmental. It's one thing to say you don't like them, but to carry on and on about it, is being quite judgmental. I'm sure you do and wear things that look ridiculous to others, but I'm sure it's not gonna stop you from wearing or doing those things.

  16. It's not that she's "too old" to wear them. It's just that she looks like total shit with those things on. But fine, if that is what she wants...whatever!

To you it may, but other people tend to look at things differently. In fact, she may a few years down the line, think "what the hell was I thinking?" Again, I am not going to judge because we ALL tend to get wrapped up in our own environment and do and wear things that we think is cool at the time. Maybe some of us can't relate to her wearing them, but I see a woman who is constantly surrounded by young people and knows what's always 'in' regarding fashion, etc., and she embraces it. Some say this isn't "in", and it was an old fad, but like all fads, they come back and with a vengence. And frankly I've never seen grills as detailed as they are now.

  17. She tends to forget the things we all tend to remember very well. It's understandable, because she has so much else going on and how she performed a song or what she was necessarily thinking when recording a certain song won't necessary come back to her unless she's written it down. I wonder how much she has written down over the years?I suspect if she ever wrote something, it will not be you normal Autobiography. She'll no doubt put her own spin to it. It will most definitely be a huge seller. It's just I don't see her as someone who really remembers back on the things we like her to share. She's so focused on what's next. So it would be interesting in how she approaches in sharing her life. And I highly doubt we'd get much personal life info, other than some general stuff that everyone is already aware of.

  18. Did she even write the lyrics? LOL! I thought this was one song pretty much given to her and she changed it up a little, to get writing credits as she's known for doing for a number of her songs? Anyway, I find it interesting of all the people he chooses to dissect, it's Madonna when there are far more other entertainers who constantly talk about sex and murder in their songs.

  19. I know, I actually thought of the same when I wrote it. But I just don't get that freakshow, it comes off as so try hard. Put in some blood and hang her somewhere and voila, done! I dont really like britney's performances either. or most of those new stars on award shows (or any show..) I expect a bit more quality and class from an "amazing performer" (which she is NOT.) Madonna has something special. she has charisma and it always feels like I'm watching an actual true icon. a natural.

I'm not really a big fan of Madonna's like a virgin performance either, though.

I think the hate for Gaga is a bit much, but I don't get her self promotional tactics. She's a bit too acessible. She needs to pull back. I can't say she's gonna last as long as Madonna or even ten years from now, but I recognize the drive and talent she does possess. She just distracts everyone from it by her odd behavior and comes off a bit desperate for attention. But again, a lot of people thought the same of Madonna when she was rising to mega-stardom. I still remember during the whole LAP era, when she was reaching a huge peak in her career, people were still doubting her and calling her a "no talent" and uses controversies and stunts to get attention. So it's quite humorous to me to see so many people even Madonna fans blasting way at Gaga because Madonna did suffer a lot of the same hate. Again, I am not comparing Madonna and Gaga's talent and persona's. They are world's apart. But I refuse to join the bandwagon and bash her and other artists to prove Madonna is queen bee. But fast forward a couple decades and now and unfortunately Madonna is casted as an aging pop star, clutching at her heels for another huge peak. I don't see it that way though. Music/entertainment is subjective. Plenty of aging musicians manage to do quite well for themselves as they got older. Madonna will do the same. Meanwhile, I do enjoy the plethora of younger talent that try to emulate past pop and rock stars. It's all good to me. Music is to be enjoyed. ;)
