"Your Love and support means the world to me and will give me wings to fly through the Super Bowl!!" - Madonna
How sweet!!!
Fly high, high flying adored M!!!

reducing a form of art like music to mere numbers is REDUCTIVE.

How odd that one song is a worry for people when an ENTIRE 18 TRACK ALBUM is sitting at #1 all over the world.
People are backing the WHOLE PROJECT by blindly buying the album like that, i couldn't think of anything more positive at this point.
I guess people like Rihanna and Katy Perry have gotten a lot of gays used to supporting SINGLES since that's their strongest way of selling their music. Other acts are able to sell...you know.....actual albums.....be proud of the fact that Madonna is still able to do that at her age, it's incredible. Leave the "singles" chart for the teens buying songs with their pocket money.

Hadn't it reached the top spot in all countries except for Australia and Japan?

Is it possible to watch the Superbowl live on the Internet? If so, where?
What time does it start in Indianapolis?
Thank you.

The point is that, even if there was any resemblance between the two songs which appears not to be the case, this would not be a scenario a la BornThisWay/Express Yourself.
Now THAT - Express Yourself - is a song that almost everybody on this planet has not only heard, but is also capable to recognize and identify right away and when I say 'identify' I mean being able to say who sang it and how the song sounds right after hearing the title.
That's what makes the whole thread - and especially the title - pointless and uselessly dramatic.
-
I don't know where you live or what kind of music do you listen to but Bohemian was a huge hit, I still hear it in clubs.
Clubs being the operative word here.
-
People are accusing her, so I posted it. I don't think they are similar.. Calm down, I'm not an hater at all.
Having stated that the two songs have no particular similarity or resemblance, it's not like Bohemian was a huge hit or something memorable. I'm sure most people wouldn't even remember the song if you just mentioned the title to them.
So really....who cares?
Next question.....
-
I am suprised noone is saying anything here. Don't focus on the album being at no1. Most album sales come from physical sales so it's kind of pointless. WHAT ABOUT THE SONG. That's what we should care about at this point. It is bombing on i-tunes in many important markets, USA and UK included. I thought it would have gone straight to no1 like most important releases by big artists. It's not even in the top10! Remember that monster radio stations are playing every hour! I am afraid the public cannot connect. Kind of like Not Myself Tonight. At least we have the superbowl performance.
I never post negative things but this is extremely worrying and I haven't seen anyone addressing the issue!
"this is extremely worrying and I haven't seen anyone addressing the issue"
The negativity and/or level of performance-related forms of worry/craziness on this forum - and I'm not particularly referring to you on this, Jasonakos - never cease to amaze me.
Why can't people just enjoy things for what they are and most importantly for how THEY feel while experiencing them?
Why is it always necessary to know that millions are liking something in order to feel sure about the level of OKness and quality of that very something?
I mean....come on now.
As far as charts are concerned, they obviously are no longer as relevant or meaningful as they used to be.
Just enjoy the song - if you like it - otherwise just move on to something else.
Nothing is mandatory let alone liking a song.
This is just the start of a new adventure. Let's just enjoy the ride and wait and see where it will take us.

3,019,985 HITS on Youtube !
W.O.W - Madonna !
Wow! It all happened during the first 24 hours.
-
both the GGW and TUTR clips sound like they're taken from "downtime" in the tracks
True.
-
it will only be one full day in view 4 hours from now...
I am assuming that it's actually a lot more than 2872963 since it has been stalling at that figure for quite some time now. It may end up with more than 3 million views during the first 24 hours. Will we ever know for sure?
I wonder what's gonna happen after the Superbowl performance. It's gonna be interesting to watch and see.
-
The video was released 23 hours ago and the counter now says 2,872.963. Wow!
-
The Turn Up The Radio snippet sounds like it's taken from the ending part of the song.
-
can we refrain from taking all the negative comments from other sites so personally.
its what YOU think that matters.
AMEN!!!!
-
No preview of any of the WO tracks so far.
-
I really like the snippet from GGW....again she was able to put her unique touch to it....which is represented by her melodies.
They chose a part of Turn Up The Radio that does not contain any element of the verses.
-
Itunes Italy won't let you buy anything yet even though the countdown has been over for almost 20 minutes.
-
Wow!!!! She's back!!!!
-
-
What time does it become available for purchase on iTunes in Europe?
Anyone know?
-
I never closed the Japanese page on my Itunes....the one I have on my PC...and it is still playing the 1.30 min preview that is right next to the title of the song where the Play button is. The only difference is that earlier it would allow you to - at least - try to purchase the song, which I did but with no success, while now it no longer does.
It does look like it was an official purchase page for the song on the Japanes Itunes. In fact, when I attempted to purchase the song, I got a message saying that I wasn't allowed.
Anybody experienced the same?
