I don't like the stage, but Madonna seems to be into her performances, which is a big plus
-
Probably Shakiguy comment on Justjared:
There is nothing she can do to REPAIR the dead look in her eyes in every shot. She looks so tired thats it sad. She does not exude a sexy strength and unfortunately no amount of money in the world will turn back the hands of time. Her desperate attempt to prove otherwise is backfiring.
I didn't criticize her looks. I said the stage seemed typical, which is true. I've never even been to JustJared, I'm assuming its a celeb site.
What I said wasn't hateful or trashing Madonna.
-
Seriously. Go listen to Shakira and stay out of here.
I’m not trying to be negative. I’m just saying what I honestly feel about what I’ve read/seen thus far. I’ve loved all her tours thus far. I went to RIT 3 times, CT twice and once to the DWT.
-
fucking hell you can tell how creative the show is from about 7 pictures from the opening 2 songs. you idiot.
The RIT pics looked iconic, the CT entrance left everyone in awe... this time, I don't see any of that. Of course, I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen thus far, I felt that was rather obvious. I might change my mind once I see the entire show.
-
do you want her to be blown out of a cannon?
That sounds like something Christina Aguilera would do
-
Well, I'm sure the show will be fun in person because its an M show, but I'm kinda disappointed with the stage. Its a typical pop concert stage (small catwalk + some big screen on the stage). The show doesn't seem very creative. We've seen a car on stage before (Music at the Grammy's). It seems like she took the easy route with this tour and just recycled her old ideas and ideas of other artists. The show should have been called R&R (Rehashed & Reused). I'm sure the show will be fun in person, but I expect a little more from Madonna.

The Promo Tour version of HU was embarrassingly bad. But, the idea of a rock version of HU is doable. I found a remix of HU called the Divide & Kreate Rock Remix. I like that remix. Madonna should do that rock remix of HU, BUT she needs to let professionals play the instruments!
-
signed! I HATE the rock version of HU!
-
If I don't find a decent seat at Dodger stadium, then I'm not going. It's not too big of a deal since I've seen DWT, RIT 3 times and CT 2 times.
-
No,it wasn't a center stage.
Got those numbers from reuters.
Can you post a link to the website where you found those numbers?

Was that a center stage? Where did you get those #'s from?
-
U2,Michael Jackson,Rolling Stone's just to name a few,played for more than 64,000 ppl.
Where those boxscore numbers or an approximation by the local media? Their approximations that they post in tour reviews are usually not similar to the actual boxscore numbers.
-
I hate the live rock version of Hung Up from the promo tour, but I ran into a rock remix of Hung Up that I actually like
Its called: Hung Up (Divide & Kreate Remix). Now that version of HU would be hot live

I think it is safe to say she will add at least 1 more NYC date. She makes a killing there.
I was thinking she could add Dallas or New Orleans.
Maybe she'll add a NYC stadium date.
-
True, the stadiums in Rio and Sao Pablo hold about 120,000 and 90,000 ppl, the river plate stadium in Buenos Aires has a capacity of almost 70,000.
For concerts River Plate holds about 55,000-60,000.

Nevermind here are the reprted boxscores so far & they aren't that impressive. They haven't reported a lot of dates but i can't imagine those would be that great either. She does have 8 shows at the Bell Centre in Canada so I'm sure that will be a great number but we will just have to wait and see.
Brisbane Entertainment Centre Brisbane 7,835 / 13,156 (59%) $1,719,321[17]
Rod Laver Arena Melbourne 12,266 / 15,431 (79%) $2,314,928[21]

Total 96,144 / 112,907 (85%) $17,478,551
Here is the link to her tour on wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taking_Chances_Tour
Some shows did not sellout, but what matters is that the gross sales where huge. She's going to make a lot per show because she has a center stage. She can sell a lot more tickets per show than an artist that has a regular stage:
Celine:
Typical Concert: (seating chart is of the Spice Girls)
-
Celine's tour is not doing that well in some European dates, like Germany. Also she's playing smaller venues as far as I know. Her strongest markets are the francophones ... but that's another story altogether.
Celine also had huge #'s in Australia.
-
But, just for the record... I am NOT going to this tour.
TOO pricey. And I'm not driving outta state to see this bitch. lol
Try ebay on the week before the show. By then all of M's fans will have tickets and ticket scalpers will be desperate to sell their tickets. You can usually find a great deal on ebay the week before the show. Usually I buy tickets for one show at reg price and then go to more shows if I find good deals on ebay. I always do though
I went to RIT 3 times & CT twice

I hope Dodger stadium doesn't sell out because if it does they are always going to have stadium shows in the US. Its an easy way to make a lot of money in one night. Madonna works less, they save the cost of doing several shows, only the fans lose. If all those stadiums sellout in the US, next time she's going to do even more stadium shows
Look at Europe, whenever she can get away with it, she does a stadium show. If they feel she can in the US also, she will.
Dodger stadium is a litmus test. They know its going to be hard to sell that out, but if she does, they know she can sellout most stadiums in the US.
-
I'm sure this is wrong but on the website for the wachovia center it says stage 360 degrees for the Madonna concert.
A 360 stadium tour would cause M to set attendance records all over the world. I don't think there's been a stadium tour yet that has had a center stage. If true, the boxscores for this tour are going to be HUGE.

from ticketpro.gr
Since she's using the whole stadium, she's probably going to have 80,000+!

Word is on the street that Live Nation is in talks with HBO to broadcast the concert on Sun 10/12 live from NY at 9pm (even though the event is scheduled for 8pm). Live Nation executives visited the HBO offices on 6th Ave yesterday...
I have HBO HD. Hopefully this true
Her tours in HD look amazing

My source confirms Perez Setlist is 100% authentic.
Source tells me that this was the working set list as of late last week, and that anything can change. I will make notes:
1 Heartbeat (It is an extended version for build up of Entrance)
2 Candy Shop/I Want Candy (I Want Candy will be brief performance and dance number, nothing set in stone with this)
3 Open Your Heart (will be very similar in sound to original with minor changes)
4 Borderline (Apparently Jamie convinced her to do this and they will be using one of those electronic voice enhance things when she sings this song, like in Nobody Knows Me and Die Another Day, and again she still might change her mind)
5 Express Yourself (this will be performed with great choreography and is a definite go)
***OYH, Borderline, and EY may switch places in lineup, Heartbeat will be opening, confirmed***
6 Voices (Video Interlude, song will not be performed)
7 Nothing Really Matters (This is 50/50, either she will or wont perform this, vocal arrangements have been made, but this is the 3rd time she has considered performing this)
8 Miles Away (Will be identical to promo tour version)
9 Dance Tonight (Chance this will not make final set list)
10 Everybody (will feature a sample)
11 Vogue (Great Choreography for this)
12 Beat Goes On (Performed with videos of Pharell and Kanye she will do dance number during Kanye rap with dancers, also great choreography planned)
13 La Isla Bonita (Video on Screens, will NOT be performed)
14 Spanish Lesson (this will be the Impressive Instant and Nobody Knows Me of this tour, they have something great planned for this)
15 You'll See (Will be a very theatrical and dramatic performance, not like the brief performances of it during DWT)
16 Girl from ipanema (short performance)
17 Who's That Girl? (tweaked version of original)
18 Dress You Up (fun version with latin twist too it.
19 Rescue Me (Video on screen with the thunderstorm heavily featured in background with will go greatly into Rain)
20 Rain (Very simple beautiful version)
21 Devil Wouldn't Recognize You (will be amazing live with brilliant dance routine)
22 She's Not Me (Some funky dance moves planned, killer performance planned)
23 Hung Up (Will NOT be ROCK version, and not same as confessions, just slightly different with some new and old dance routines thrown in for a difference)
24 Music (Heavy Choreography, similar version to promo tour)
25 4 minutes (Similar to Promo tour with some changes)
26 Holiday (much different than before)
27 Give It 2 Me (Super Heavy dance routines with an amazing finish)
THANK YOU GOODNIGHT.
will post if anything changes.
and this is very similar to what i said weeks ago

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that setlist. Thank god she's not doing the rock version of HU
I hate Spanish Lessons, but it says that they have something great planned for this song, so I'm fine with it being part of the setlist
