I aid a select few Latin (what I should typed, rather than Latin America) countries. Compared to how FG would fare, Medellin was an absolute smash.
-
Flip- yes it does.
-
Dany- bigger than "Medellin"? Well could be, though that would be the furthest thing from "huge." "Medellin" at least had some appeal outside of one country.
-
Yeah, if I HAD to choose, I'd go with FG.
-
Can we please have a "Neither" option?
-
Flip- wasn't sure if it had seen any streaming activity outside of Brazil, so wanted to cover the bases with the "perhaps."
This song is OK, fun, whatnot- but also kinda disposable, and not an album highlight for me.
-
The video and song will always be relevant as long as there are deranged people in the world who turn to guns for mass destruction.
It is Madonna's voice saying 'This is your wake-up call..." spoken bit, yes? Pretty sure it is, just "played with"- just asking.
-
Surely all have received their merchandise items by now?
-
"Hit" in a a select number of Latin American countries, perhaps, but that would be about it, even with a video. See "Medellin."

At this stage in her career, I just don't get how some can't accept that she's ever going to perform anywhere near what she used to on the charts- and that includes the UK. She's not alone, in regard to acts around her age or even younger. For a 60-year-old female, yes, she's doing fine.
As for the "Higher Love" comparison- that could be, but only after she passes on.
-
Would be nice, though they'd probably want an edit without the full-on Portuguese section.
Wonder if there is even a plan for an AC follow-up. After "Ghosttown'," no other track was serviced to/pushed at U.S. radio.
-
Yes, a wondrous piece of art from the Queen.
-
Ten years is a long time, especially in music. Again, what other female acts 60+ get heavy airplay on UK Radio 1?
Album down from 31 to 43 on the sales chart this week.
-
GC for me- what Madonna does best. DB and Batuka are powerful, too= the former may have been even more so with her in a larger role (even if it were a bit obvious to have her play JofA).
All of the videos are well-done- her best set of album videos in some time.
-
Yes- good stuff.
-
Je5u5- those tracks were all by acts who were a lot younger than M is right now. She's just not going to score a mega hit as a lead act at this stage of her carerr, no matter the circumstances. And there's nothing wrong in that- it happens to all acts.
In the meantime, GC persists as my favorite from MX.

I like it well enough. Nice throwback to "Vogue," "Erotica"/Dita and a bit of "Future Lovers." I may have said as much prior, though just through I'd reiterate.
Having said that, I can see why some may not rate it as highly as others. It's more of a "mood" track than a full-on, blows-your-mind song.
-
The guitar intro may be my favorite part of the track, leading into the arrival of M's voice.
-
I instantly liked the track, though it's not my favorite.
There's no "oomph"/"wow" part- it's just a nice, laid-back, "chill" track.
-
Roughly a 42.2% drop, similar to its decline from week 3 to 4.

^He's also a safe, non-threatening male.

I believe it was the day leading up to "Medellin" that a couple of MTV channels played all-Madonna videos.
Again, the VMAs have become a public-voting "awards" show, so they're not what they once were.
-
That may be the only issue that a label like WB could help with, though if people REALLY wanted it, there's always the digital avenue. Not sure how many people make on-the-spot CD purchases any longer.
-
No label in the world is going to help in terms of streaming. And as far as album sales go, how many 60-plus-year-old females score hit singles on UK radio and see smashing album sales with new material? I just think the commercial potential for new Madonna music is pretty limited at this point.
