Has this ever happened, where Sunday's main performer wasn't officially announced by this point?
I'm not sure how it works,m but isn't it very possible that you could still hear M performing, even if you're not inside the space? All I heard is that this newer location supposedly isn't as large as where it used to be held.
-
That looks to be the same look for the MX deluxe cover, and that "I Rise" "still"?
-
M looks good, no doubt, but pass for 30? A tad of an exaggeration, perhaps (same goes for other "divas" who look good for their age ad they say they look decades younger)
-
Most haven''t done as many tracks as Kylie did, though- in the past, it's been 2-5 songs (Cher did three in 2013, while Deborah Cox did a couple or so more at the same event).
-
Says premieres 1:30 p.m.- give it also says 5 hours, I guess that's 1:30 p.m. EST? Which means almost 5 hours.
-
I hope to love it when I listen ~June 14.

^They don't care all that much? Only logical explanation. Then again, look at "Medellin" and its Wednesday release- 5K in a day and a half and then less than that for the full seven days after. Same thing with the video- it had 3 million total U.S. streams for the period that included a day and a half of video streams, and then, apparently, less than that for the full following week.
-
So there will be shots without the eye patch. *whew* .
-
Yeah, I can hear the "echo-ey"/"airy" quality to it, but it sounds nice and not robot-like as in "Future."
-
"Future" has the most vlcal manipulation/processing/autotune/watyever of the three I've heard (not having heard "I Rise"). If it's in "Medellin," it's pretty subtle.
-
^Not the pier dance/Pride Island.
-
The event is never televised- bit and pieces perhaps, but not the full thing. Or, maybe a professional filming of it will be uploaded to her Vevo/YouTube.
It's hysterical that there's still no official announcement, though, with it a month away and tickets having one on ale , what, two months ago?
-
Price in NYC is *after* the album release, should it happen. On that note, at there still being no confirmation/announcement of the Sunday performer, when the event's just a month out.
In any event, that's not a widespread/broadcast event that the general public would see.
Back to Euro- after 36 years in the public eye, one perceived-as-not-out-of-the-park performance isn't going top affect her legacy in any form. Everyone has an off night (by their standards).

Kim- when I hear vocoder, I think of Cher/"Believe" and songs of that nature, and some of M'. Am i missing something with the LAP vocals? Watching again and don't hear anything like that.
-
Now that's a nice vocal. Are those the Met Gala vocals?
And vocoder in these LAP vocals? Say who?
-
The performance was just uneventful- and when you set the bar so high, and it doesn't reach that level, that's going to incite a "riot," so to speak. Though I enjoyed the LAP at the Met Gala more, even though it was the same arrangement.
On another note- many expect a joyous, uplifting performance of LAP every time. However, she was performing it in a location where it's not currently joyous and uplifting, given the situation with Palestine. Coincidence? I think not.
-
She was probably nervous during LAP, understandably. Was my first time hearing "Future"- didn't love it on first listen (UB wasn't one of my favorite from RH, either). Of the three tracks I've heard thus far, "Medellin" is the most "classic"-Madonna-sounding. Looking most forward to the other Mirawis collaborations.
I did like the spoken section- very M.
-
^She usually doesn't do rounds of TV appearances- at least in the overall scope of her career. Maybe this time will go against the norm.
-
^Oh no you didn't. I listened to it twice. It's more immediate than "Medellin," to me.
-
Listened to the song. I like it.
-
I'm going to try to avoid listening to these pre-release tracks, as I did with the RH ones released after the initial six-track batch.
-
RH peaked at No. 1 on Top Album sales, so that is very notable.
MLVC- not sure if I could do that: I would message contact svper.

Not sure if this was posted; an article on the technology used:

NBC uploaded the performance, though it may be classified as "Entertainment," rather than "Music."

The initial rating for LAP did not match what the review actually said- makes me think it should have been 4.5 stars, which is what it received in RS album guides thereafter.
This MX review, I wouldn't really call negative.
