  1. I don't get how come Madonna was only awarded with 7 Grammy Awards? It just seems so UNFAIR! It really makes me feel sad. She is so huge, so influential!!! I just don't understand how she was overseen before. Where is the award for Vogue? You'll See? Take a Bow? Wtf?? And now we have cheap shit music coming out of fake ass bitches and they get more awards in a much shorter period of time! Grammys should apologize for Madonna and give her like 50 awards and take a whole hour explaining each one of them!! I'm not even joking!

In the 80s and 90s madonna was one of the very first artists of her kind and so controversial; the grammy voters were people from the 70s and earlier...

Madonna was indeed so influential and contributed to shifting opinions about what makes good music, music that lives on through time, music that transcends genres... She is the reason why now newcomers (who grew up to madonna s beats and were influenced by her) get nominations more easily; there may be more voters who grew up in the 80s too

On a side note, Of the three special awards, she should get the 25th special anniversary for like a prayer because that album was simply underrated by the grammys and it has made a major impact on pop culture! If such an album was out today it would be nominated in most categories...

She should also get the hall of fame one but it s too early for the life time achievement... She still has more music to give

  2. my opinion was based on the demos and yes i heard them and listened to the words...

while the songs may have been remixed soundwise, i doubt that the words were modified so yeah i maintain that they don't flow from a thematic stand point past the 6th song; she should have stuck with her idea of a double album but most importantly she should have got rid of the sex songs (a bit crappy if you ask me!) except for the exquisite "inside out" (pure 90's madonna, completely delicious)

For me the album that i will have is a double CD:

    cd1: REBEL

    1. Rebel heart

    2. devil pray

    3. Borrowed time

    4. Unapologetic bitch

    5. Two steps behind

    6. Illuminati

    7. Veni vidi vici

    8. Iconic feat. Chance The Rapper & Mike Tyson

    9. Graffiti heart

    10. Wash all over me

    Bonus: God is love

    Cd 2: HEART

    1. Living For Love

    2. Ghosttown

    3. Never let you go

    4. Body shop

    5. Hold Tight

    6. Inside out

    7. Beautiful scars

    8. Nothing last for ever

    9. Tragic girl

    10. Joan of Arc

    11. HeartBreakCity

    12. Messiah

with these 23 songs Madonna is at her VERY BEST (not exagerating) it is for me the best of Madonna since Ray of light (even better than COAD!) but only with these songs and that order!

devil pray is right there in her top 10 songs ever, so is messiah; she simply delivers some of her best sogs ever: the madgestic "heart break city , the edgy "unapologetic bitch", the haunting "never let you go, the up-lifting "living for love, the dark "ghosttown, the exotic "nothing last forever, the delicious "inside out,the simply great pop "rebel heart" and "wash all over me" (kudos avicii!), the catchy "two steps behind, the reflective "veni vidi vici

that's Madonna back to form... and that's what i will put in my ipod as the "Rebel heart project" (2 CDs without the b-list sex crap songs)

Welcome back madge! welcome back to being your best!

PS: so fucking excited for the concerts, i am! :-)

  3. I am a little surprised by the choice of final tracks and by the order of the songs! i dont think it flows in any sense (thematic or soundwise) past the 6th song...

I am also a bit put off by some of the song choice A bit of a pity given the tremendous amount of demos of great quality/potential... but i guess i 'll just rearrange the songs and create my own rebel heart album (the way i did for hard candy).... only real disappointment is to find out there aren't any song that didnt leak already!

for me Rebel heart is a quadruple album with

    cd1: unapolegetic bitch; cd2: sex; cd3: love and heartbreak; cd4: art for freedom;

    cd1:

    1. unapologetic bitch

    2. devil pray

    3. Illuminati

    4. Iconic feat. Chance The Rapper & Mike Tyson

    5. Bitch I'm Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj

    6. Two steps behind

    7. Veni vidi vici

    8. Rebel heart

    9. Wash all over me

    cd2:

    1. S.E.X.

    2. Holy water

    3. Body shop

    4. Inside out

    5. Back that up do it

    6. Best night

    Cd 3:

    1. Living For Love

    2. Ghosttown

    3. Hold Tight

    4. Joan of Arc

    5. HeartBreakCity

    6. Messiah

    7. Nothing last for ever

    8. Never let you go

    9. Tragic girl

    10. Beautiful scars

    Cd4:

    1. God is love

    2. Borrowed time

    3. Revolution

    4. Graffiti heart

    5. Freedom

the onnly songs i do not like (or even cannot stand are S.E.X., holy water, back that up do it, best night, and bitch i'm madonna, which she surprisingly chose to include!!!!! her radar can be so off some times.... but who cares: we have the demos and some are just as good as finished songs could be!!!!!!

i cannot get enough of "never let you go" for instance, it's on repeat!

  4. never let you go is just GREAT!!!!! it needs to be in the final album along with "nothing last forever" and "body shop" (these songs have interesting production...

this album is going to be fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madge is delivering the goods as she used too! she's back! really back!

PS: it is a pity she will not include two steps behind for it is soo catchy!

  5. i just listened to inside out... very nice ballad where industrial meets accoustic guitar... it's really a good track that derserves to be on the album, the hook is really nice... it is really a relief that madge is all about melodies and song writing on this album, more than sounds and production...

this album is really going to be THE bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. the finished version is a killer! no other words! a club banger...

wow, i honestly would not beleive she was capable of such a track again where infectious melody meets sound production on lyrics that make you think... (which is what she used to deliver in the early days e.g. LAP and ROL)

i have been listening to that track all day long.... woohoo, can't wait to hear it in clubs

i just hope she will release it as a single and play it on tour... she would be a fool not to...

  7. devil pray has got to be a single... madonna would be a fool not to release it and play it on tour; it is the best song of the six that were released,... the demo was catchy as hell but the finished version is just a pure club banger, and the melody is an instant crush!

living for love is a grower but i like the demo version better, with a deep house feel to it; aparently there are more than 10 versions of the songs i am sure i will find the one that does it for me even more than the two we have now...

ghost town is a very beautiful and powerful ballad, unexpected

illuminati's production gives it an industrial feel that is well suited... both versions are fine by me

unapolegetic bitch finish version is the same as the demo and it was my favorite track at first listen, but devil pray finished version just transports me in ways that unapolegetic bitch can't... still it is a fun track and madge should release it as a single

i don't like bitch i'm madonna (it's filler material in my opinion) and with more than 40 songs recorded i am sure she has better ones in store...

so far devil pray, unapologetic bitch, ghost town are ingle material, but rebel heart, wash over me, and the madgestic heartbreak city are too!!! so many choices for singles (as opposed to MDNA).... i hope she doesnt make the wrong choices...

this album is definitely going to be her best since COAD (it could be up there with LAP and ROL in my opinion)

madonna knew that she could not afford a mediocre album at this stage of her carrier, and she delivered!

  8. wow, this album is shaping up to be THE album that every fan was waiting for in 2012 (and was not delivered... MDNA was so rushed, remember?!)

Unapolegetic bitch has got to be the first single!!!! it is the most fun, fresh, UNEXPECTED, edgy track that she has put out since music (note: "hung up" was amazingly fun but kind of expected, completely in her register)

    Unapolegetic bitch is the shit!

I fucking LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Messiah!!!!! (simply madgestic! love the strings)

heartbreak city is AWEsome!!!! so soulful (sounds like a R. kelly track, which could be out of this world if it had a gospel choir)!!!!,

wash all over me is an instant hit (great job from avicii on this one),

make the devil pray is fucking catchy from first listen

borrowed time is clasic avicii but it works well for madonna

illuminati is fucking fun... i'm sure it could be a hit on the dance floors, the urban sound works well for madonna on this track

rebel heart is a nice track

living for love is fine but should not be the first single! not strong enough

all i have to say is that madonna finally focused on music this year and it shows... if these tracks are only demos, and that madonna has other tracks that are supposedly better than some of the demos, then all i have to say is that we are in for a treat and this might be the madonna album of the decade!!!!

Like a prayer in the 80's

Ray of light in the 90's

Confessions on a dance floor in the 00's

and... Iconic in the 10's!!!!!!! :-)

can't wait for the promo era to start and the concerts to be announced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madonna is finally back.... reallly back!

    FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: i just hope she doesnt make the same mistake again of poor single choice

  9. With no hesitation DWT; i barely ever watch the dvd again... Too dark and terrible opening and hairstyle, costumes etc

It was the first time i saw her live though

Close to it is sticky and sweet (except for some parts)

I dont know why people hate on wtg; i agree that it was her one woman show; everything revolved around her with no help/distraction from technological tricks, or dancers or anything.. The musical arrangements were great and the emotion was raw and vivid throughout the show....

Her best tour will remain (forever?!) BAT... Nothing has come close to it yet although i loved (really!!!) the MDNA tour which i found creatively and style-wise extremely interesting (and she never looked better on stage (not since bat or gs); i mean physically she was damn hot)

  10. LAP is Madonna's best album, and the LAP -BAT era was really special; it was a high point in her career, in terms of music, video, performance, and political message... it's the time that I started following her stuff more carefully... and I believe it's the time that she had her true fans committed; those who still follow her after all these years...

reading through Pat leonard's billboard interview, http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/5944767/madonna-producer-patrick-leonard-talks-like-a-prayer-at-25

I find it amazing that what I consider to be her best album ever and her legacy to pop music history was composed and recorded I less than two weeks!!!

and to think that LAP (the song) was done in one day??!!!??!??!?1 WOW is the only thing I can say!

that track is timeless and for me it is the incarnation/definition of POP music.
