It's a piss take. Screw it. I am over it. I think MadameX is still fine in other parts of Europe and of course the US. The Brits can suck it.

Saw a video of someone in the store. Looked pretty busy and looked like it had lots of stuff too.

Madonna is the one who talks about the current short attention span of the audience these days. So she should know better. Medellin is great but there were at least 5 other songs that would have been better lead singles. Then she gave 4 more of which there were still better leads. But then Eurovision. So what do you do? Do a little HMV thing or in that audience thing, perform and have it televised. The last song these people heard from MadameX after Medellin which you had to turn on R2 to hear, was future.
After that, they just have her chatting about Martha Graham 10 times to different outlets. How is that pushing album sales?
Nobody knows how mad I am that Springsteen is selling almost double Madonna in the UK. He had a broadway show and its Springsteen for fathers day but I still smell sabotage because I am trying to understand. How many number one albums has he had in the UK? Does anyone know?

That's true. She's an entertainer. That's her job and she's always been good at it. But I do think she failed at Eurovision. I did not find that performance entertaining but I understand her reasonings for doing it. She was trying to make a statement and I feel like she will do the same at Pride.
Then she needs to become a full time Political activist and start showing up on these cable news network panels. There is more entertainment on her instagram than Madonna Live these days and that is just painful to say. Those moments she spends just rocking out on her IG with 14 million followers she should be preaching if that is who she is now. When people pay her or come to see MADONNA entertain as the greatest showgirl, they expect that. I do not know when it became one or the other for her. The Madonna I know could do both regardless of what song she is performing.

God, the fallacies in here are hilarious.
IF you object to a setlist and provide your reasoning for it, you automatically branded as this flailing faggot who will only be satisfied to hear 5 Hung Up's in a row capped off by the Sphinx Medellin version. We all know that's not true. But that's your only refutation and I get it, you gotta stick to it.
But it's really not that simple boo.
I do not even know how they draw these conclusions. I am neither gay nor a man and yet I would like that at NYC Pride commemorating 50 years of Stonewall, that mother superior who they have tried to get for decades does not go there full of self importance trying to get the gays woke. They came there to party and drink and celebrate how far they have come even though there is still a ways to go. There is still time for that in Madonna's art isn't there? Dear God! Not everything must be the world is doomed and we must do something to change it. We know. But every now and then can we just dance M? Can we?!

I think they were being sarcastic and annoyed that this song is being ignored by her team
Exactly! And yes I agree she is pissed to find that the songs she chose as teasers are not necessarily the songs the listeners think are the best and you know she is stubborn. This is why she will still be flogging future that was played to over 200 million people and still hasn't done as well as Gostoso or even Crave. She refuses to say mea culpa. Maybe I was wrong. I can just picture her saying we do not get it. We are not woke. LOL

Madonna can only gain from making this song a single/video, even if it costs money, she can only win with this song...
There is no messaging and rebellion. It's a party song. She has no money for those. She spent it on Medellin. Nevermind it is the most popular song on the album with less promo than Medellin. Her number one streaming song. No. She will sing future.

I know we are all mad about one thing or the other but let us also remember this is not a Madonna problem. All acts that are not mumble rapping or nursery rhyming a la Swift are suffering same. In fact I actually like the calm down song or whatever it is called by Taylor but her PR Juggernaut is only second to Beyonce's. Madonna's record company and team do not put that kind of effort. So as disappointed as we are, do not use it to judge Madonna's art or Madonna. It's the business. Also some silly decisions by Madonna herself as in what to perform where and when and what songs to release to showcase the best of the album.

As an I Rise stan, it was my fave from the first 5 songs released, I am happy it is being shown love on it's own. It is beautiful music. It has beautiful lyrics. It deserves.

I am still asking, are the numbers from the Madonna.com added?

You don't go to a birthday party to remind people they are a year closer to death. You go celebrate the positive and remember the good times.
BOOM. Yall are dropping some good ones today.
This and;
I fell in love with the greatest entertainer on earth and not Che Guevara
are outright gems.

Eurovision is to blame. Especially because after that debacle she performed nothing else from the album anywhere else in the UK. Radio is not playing her either. Talking to Rylan and Graham without performing is not gonna move albums. The last sample of the album they heard was Future. So it's Medellin and Future for the GP? Not good enough.
The more important question is that we know M has more than 50,000 fans in the UK. So why are they not buying the album? I am baffled.
Can I ask again, are we sure the Madonna online purchases have been added?
I am still streaming but this news has me demoralized.

I want God Control or Batuka. God control because it is the next video. However, a stripped down Crave with her strumming her guitar would be heaven.I might even cry.

Anderson on Jimmy or she is appearing on Anderson?

Can she just perform Crazy? It doesn't require much movement. I am sure whats his name...Jimmy's guy can play it. What is the actual point of appearing on these shows and not performing?
-
PopUp should have been in London and you must buy an album before you walk in to see her.

Just saw a Springsteen album ad on CNN. Sigh. If you have heard one Springsteen song you have heard them all. Meanwhile still streaming on spotifyUK. I refuse to believe that mess.

I don't search I find goes into Vogue. Then Hello bitches are you ready ????????? and BAM God Control goes into Into the groove. Then a speach about gay rights and the fight and she sings I rise. and GAME OVER
LITERALLY! I mean it is not rocket science. I am just angry. The simplest thing she can not even process and nobody in her team is telling her this. I may have to send this to Aaron as a humble suggestion of what fans are dreaming of.

Madonna was performing to an audience of over 200 million mostly Europeans. She had her first album in four years. The event was eurovision. We have now come to find that she had songs like GodControl, IDSIF, on there. EUROVISION. Madonna chose to go and sing Future off her new album with some American rapper so she can pass on a message of peace and unity and how we should all be woke.
Then we wonder why Bruce Springsteen who seems the same old country songs on each album is beating her in the charts in Europe of all continents? There is nothing to wonder.

Madonna is not promoting Madame X
Madonna is part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. She considers that Future and I Rise sum up the message of humankind situation. I do consider that God Control would be a better decision, but it's not the end of the world.
Frankly just the thought that my idol is the one bringing the message instead of the glitter makes me proud.
Now it seems clear that she chose Eurovision and Pride to deliver a message. It may be a weird decision but it's Madame X in Dark Ballet full mode.
If Madonna is part of the celebration of stonewall then she is there to entertain the gays so to speak. SO ENTERTAIN THEM. We have heard not everyone is coming to the future and that she is woke and the world is going to hell in a hand basket. I am sure she will preach during the tour too. This is a pride event. She has disco bangers with messages. She can entertain and have a message. Both ideas are not mutually exclusive. Future is a dead song. If she is in such a bubble that she has not seen that the song did ZERO as far as reaction or traction for the album bearing in mind that it is the song that got the most exposure out of every song on MadameX, then she truly has lost the plot.
I adore her. Always will. And people can mock those of us that are frustrated and annoyed by her recent choices and call us fake fans or whatever, I do not care. I think I have rationalized her actions on here before so I am not one of those who just thinks everything she does is wrong. I let it go with the choice of singles. I took Eurovision on the chin and defended her on every platform even though I knew the performance and song choices were a mess. If this is truly her set list for Pride, then I am annoyed and I am simply expressing my frustration.
She has truly lost the plot. Obsessed with messaging and activism and the art and performance is now secondary.

i dont understand her anymore. As someone say her performance at the VMA was cute and the ESC was disapointing. It’s seems that the message of the song is more important that putting a great show and entertaing people. I felt in love with the greatest entertainer of eath, not with Che Guevara
Your last quote should be on a Tshirt. I could not have put it better.
"I fell in love with the greatest entertainer on earth not with Che Guevara" LOL. Love it. Wish I could send it to Madonna.
I love her intelligence. Her fearlessness in opining on world events that these other spineless girls wouldn't or do not even know about. Or join the bandwagon after others have spoken but there is a thin line. Why are you singing two songs that have already been released for weeks? Does she want to sell this album and sell out her tour or is her priority more her political messaging? Madonna used to do both. Now she is consumed with rebellion and messaging that it is affecting her artistic choices and her art.
Twice this year she has been given the opportunity to show the world that she is still pound for pound the greatest but if this rumour is true, just like the first time, instead she is choosing to tell the world that she has lost the plot. The brilliance of the MadameX album reassured everyone that she is still the boss. I fear for this Pride event. I hope she changes that set list.

The millenials are the generation of the plain daft. They are mocking bundles when it is fans taking the option of buying the album as they pay to go see same artist but they will not mock streaming? These are not sensible people.
-
Her fascination with the weakest song on the album escapes me. Who wrote Future with her? Because I am trying to understand her affinity to that song. There is a message in almost every song since she is now obsessed with messages above her actual art, so the least she can do after the debacle that was eurovision is in her next public performance be a bit more upbeat even with the messaging.

I am convinced she uses them as retainers or they are holding her teeth together or something because I have been unable to understand her persistence in wearing them even to sing.
