  1. From a pop music/get the kids boppin standpoint, this song is fire and far better than I had allowed myself to hope for. It's got fantastic rhythm, makes me want to dance, and makes me envision M in a new way. Listening to it nonstop now for 30 min and it just keeps getting better. I predict some chart success with this one. Her strongest opening single since Hung Up by far.

    Yes, this is perfectly put.

This. The deluxe cover is iconic and instantly recognizable. It captures her more serious, reflective side, which I think will resonate better w non-fans (who she is coming after with a vengeance this time around). I also love the Frida standard cover but am conflicted about the times font & placement. Whew what a day. The new era is here!! Mama comes to slay...

Perhaps some of the posts are meant with humor, but all the baseless and hysterical  speculation regarding delays and misdirection is completely offensive to Madonna. I’d like to chime in to underline that the majority of her fans seem to be extremely excited about the potential implied by the length of time Madonna has spent focusing on creating this album...a year ago we were being told she had two films to direct, and her sole “creative” output appeared to be MDNA Skin. Now we are (naturally impatiently) waiting in anticipation of a new musical style and era, including a tour, that looks to be career-defining, groundbreaking and, dare I say, positively challenging; a dream for any fan considering she has been an active popular musician for 36 years! She’s chosen to focus on the part of her career that is most heralded and dearest to her fans. To me, that inspires nothing more than enthusiastic devotion and respect for her creative process. Artistry cannot be rushed, and if you want fast food, you go to MacDonald’s, not a 3-star Michelin rated restaurant. There are plenty of lower quality, and perhaps more prolific yet fun pop stars releasing singles and albums all the time. Enjoy those while you save up for the special occasion meal Madonna will deliver!

    This.

  4. The album could very well flop commercially, but one thing I'm not too worried about is quality. Madge is many things, but lazy is not one of them. The length of time between albums has gotten longer bc her life is filled with a lot more than it was in the 80s (6! kids, major side product lines, major humanitarian assistance programs). Even her lowest-quality output has been pretty fricking amazing compared to other artists at this stage in their careers. American Life was seen as a flop commercially but is one of her best-loved albums by fans. Trust in M. It'll come when it'll come, and it'll be quality.

  5. Positive, uplifting and inspiring speech. Great that she sang a few songs, would have loved it if the audience was quieter so you could actually hear her! Too much focus on the booty, yes it looked odd from a side angle view, but who cares? This was not about promoting new music or a new look, this was about community & solidarity. A great kickoff to what is going to be an exciting year for us fans.
