Out of all of the living icons and legends out there, Madonna herself has been criminally negligent of her OWN legacy. The tour setlists, the lack of reissues and anniversary celebrations, the reluctance to embrace what made her famous in interviews and on stage. All of this has been incredibly damaging to not just her legacy, but her image as a whole. It’s completely astonishing that she does nothing more to celebrate milestones like Ray of Light, Like A Prayer, the anniversary of Everybody being released, with nothing more than an Instagram post. Everyone from Fleetwood Mac to Garbage to Tori Amos have done incredible reissues and tours of their icon albums. And their fans- like myself - eat it up.
You’re absolutely correct in stating she has a shitty team around her. But Madonna herself has the power and direction to administer these kinds of things. Even if it’s just random performances like the one she did on Fallon singing Borderline a few years back. I showed my friends that performance and they just melted. It’s things like that which capture the nostalgia people feel when they see her and hear songs that they grew up with. And it’s high time she gets out there with the best discography in all of pop music to remind the world why she’s the Queen. She has the arsenal, she just needs to use it.
i think she is saving all that for a rainy day ...

Another good site to mention is News-of-madonna who gave information like the Rebel Heart Tour setlist that were not the ones Madonna annunced on her IG when she was teasing the setlist, for example among others and also pics of the stage as well as the rumors of Arenas being booked in France for September
At any rate both sites I have mentioned are certianly more reliable than DrownedMadonna tbh. (what a weird name for a site anyway)

It does make sense to be honest and it just depresses me lol ..i was expecting something much sooner ...just hope the album doesnt leak after sitting on it for 5 months

hopefully tribe is just jumping to a conclusion due to the eurovision rumour - i just cant see her sitting on a finished album for 5 months infact longer if the first single is released in may then the album may be even later - i wish she would just say give us a clue on instagram i just hope the anitta track she recorded is released earlier to build up some buzz - im going back in my coma wake me up when the single is out

Definitely has. Even some of my friends who used to praise Madonna, now question her talent. I then gently remind them of her hit songs and straight away, you can see the light bulb go off and they are raving about her music and her. That is all it takes people - a whole emphasis on her music, music videos and performances.
I do find it infuriating though that she is put down so much. Also exhausting that it is fans who have to keep defending her on social media, articles etc when her team and PR should be doing it.

i think its partly to do with a rise in talent shows also ...i mean vocally she would not win a talent show singing ....madonna is much more than a voice though and some people don't get that ...her talents have always been kind of in the background behind the controversy but this is how she wanted it ...fuck what people think of her....we love her

Well she refuses to age naturally on purpose and pushes peoples buttons still ...this is why it has grown stronger but i think its always been there its just social media has made it able for everybody and their dog to express a opinion on her ...shes always been bashed and she knows this and i know its hard for us to take but fuck them

the consistent backlash in my opinion started around 2011/2012when caca was at her peak madonna cos play phase. its fans were much more social media conscience and immature to look at the situation correctly. there are have been just so many negative madonna conversations related to her age. i would point out examples of her legacy and relevance and change minds but theres a cynisim out there towards her. maybe because shes the top female artists career people point to---like shes already won, no need to be nice.
other fan bases hate on her for one reason ....shes the queen of pop ..end of
