If you haven't bothered to fork out the one quid/buck as a show of support for Madonna's latest single, then you really have no place in these sales/streaming threads imo.
Well I've been streaming it on every platform, song and video nonstop,
I just don't buy digital Music, it they would release physical singles, I have all 3 from RH...

Just like how the Super Bowl was barely known and broadcast to people outside the U.S. when it was announced Madonna was going to perform. Eurovision is a MAMMOTH ratings event in Europe. It generates in the range of 180-200 million viewers in Europe. Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime show had 114 million viewers.
Yup

Aren't there at least 25.000 Madonna fans in the US who would buy Medellin on iTunes?
How come the digital sales are very low?
You're like a broken record repeating over and over again
Most of Madonna's biggest fans, myself included, don't buy digital singles on iTunes, we buy the (physical) Album and tour tickets and merchandise etc
You're complaining about her not having 25, 000 people buying the new song on iTunes but she'll probably sell at least 1 million tickets in the US alone for her upcoming tour
What's more important?
Hmmm....

Remember how huge MDNA pre-orders were when she did the superbowl? I'm expecting a big bump in pre-orders when this performance happens. I know the Billboard awards will not get over 100 million viewers like the Super Bowl but this performance is getting a lot of buzz. People are interested.
Her Eurovision performance will though!

Anybody have any info on what magazine covers we can expect to find her on in the upcoming months?

The 3d thing is cool but wouldnt it make more sense to debut it at Eurovison? If shes really is spending 5 million why waste it on BBMAs?
Right? I mean, the Superbowl I could see but the BBMA?
Which tells me she's gonna use it again at Eurovision, the promo tour of performances (usually the week the album drops) and the actual tour itself

Well
She's already doing remarkably better than Rebel Heart in that she's managed to keep EVERYTHING under wraps having 100 percent control of everything.
The song and video are both receiving a lot of praise from fans, the gp and the critics.
In comparison to her contemporaries, she's already light years ahead.
Compared to the new girls, they come and go as usual, but M she's permanent, legendary embedded into history type level-few pop stars can claim that today.
Every keeps saying that this song is a grower, well lets be patient, love takes time to grow lol. I have a feeling that it could stick around for the long haul..
Thank You, I love this, have been saying this for a few weeks now

Blame it on the Gen Z’s. many of them haven’t heard of Madonna.
I was told about the BILLBOARD performance coming up by my coworkers, about 6 of them at lunch break, who knew I was a big Madonna fan and we're ALL in their late teens/early 20s
That's Gen Z but according to you they never heard of her....
I can't...

Most MADONNA fans just pre-order the album and wait for the songs, and those purchases will NOT count for the song to chart, unlike before...
Exactly, that's what I do, I don't even have an iTunes account

Perhaps her next mv will be just a story on face or Snapchat since people’s attention span is so short these days.
And that still won’t work. I dunno. We’ve tried everything, and nothing has worked so far.
I guess we just wait for the performance on May 1st and see if it will make any dent.
To me everything is working, I don't get your post

Yes we get it they want her to die now. Do you get paid by moaning every fucking day on this forum about how unpopular Madonna is?
Huh? I was replying to someone who made the RIDICULOUS claim that many people from Generation Z , born from 1995 onwards hadn't even HEARD of Madonna, which is a lie and absurd
I work with Gen Z ers and they ALL know who Madonna is and recognize she's a legend, they're just not her core fanbase, which would make sense, I never once said Madonna was unpopular, she's still extremely popular for an older Artist

Oh everyone has at least HEARD of Madonna, Gen Z just aren't fans of her

Madonna used to be an ageist too btw but now she's older and a victim of it she hates it. When she was dating Warren Beauty she was asked about his past relationships including Joan Collins and she laughed and said have you seen her lately? That was just plain mean. Karma is a bitch...
Where are all these trolls coming from? They just ALL joined in the last few weeks and have barely had any posts
It's crazy , they take the time to come out of the woodwork and from licking Gaga's dirty snatch to sign up on MN to hate on Madonna
Madonna's relevance!

She should be receiving a special awards for you know having more total #1's, 161, than any Artist in BILLBOARD history for ALL charts

JLo feat French Montana - Medicine was released 7 Apr 2019. Almost 3 weeks ago and has about 16 million views. The video only has 16,900 comments and 258K like 29K dislikes.
Medellin was released 4 days ago and has almost 11 million views. The video has 45,600 comments though and 370K likes and 96K dislikes.
People can talk all the shit they want but she still has their attention and provokes a reaction.
Actually it was released THREE days ago

They're, I hate say it, pulling a Beyonce by pushing the ALBUM and not concentrating on the singles market, I still think album sales will be strong

Ok and how does it compare to latest Streisand and Springsteen? And aren’t they older? Maybe we should compare her to Mariah and Janet sales?
Maybe Janet?
Just any over 50 year old Artist in Music

I went to Gorgon Daily and those monstrosities are so happy (well most of them) that Medellín sold 5000 first week, ignoring the fact it’s basically for 1 day. However those sales still sound bad. Or do they? Maybe most preordered the album and then got Medellín without it counting as a sale until the release of the album?
It's Good for a legendary Artist over 50 that radio doesn't play and whose most fans don't but digital singles
Keep that in mind
Madonna's comparisons to her CURRENT work are too Springsteen, Streisand etc NOT Gags
People forget that

This discussion ALWAYS rises when we have a new era and the frustration her recent single doesnt shoot to no.1 in the USA.
Yes, she was the most succesful female sales wise during LAV and TB from LAP on there was always a local safer "it" star girl who sold more that year like Whitney, Janet, Paula, Martika, Mariah, Celine, Britney, Xtina, Bey, Gaga, Taylor, Arianna.
But Madge always keeps selling singles, albums and has huge Tours and has the stayin power even in the recent Trump leading and Gaga (bought) Oscar winning USA.
And now even streaming hits!!! And cultural impact above anyone male or female.
Nobody can take that away from her even if she doesnt chart anymore with the currents and ridicilous rules like BB.
Martika NEVER sold more than Madonna ANY single year in the US and I would say from late 84 until about 1992, Madonna ALWAYS sold more records in the US than any other female
Let's examine 1989-1991 period, the top 3 female sellers in the US were Madonna, Janet, and Paula
Janet sold 8 million albums and about 5 million singles for the RN era in the US, 13 million records total
Paula sold 12 million albums (8 million for FYG, 1 million for remix album, 3 million for SB), and about 7 million singles, 19 million Records total
Madonna sold about 19 million ALBUMS alone (12 million for TIC, it's undercertified, 5 million for LAP, also undercertified and 2 million for IB), and about 10 million singles in the US, including BOTH LAP and Vogue, which outsold every single Paula or Janet released that period. That's 29 million records sold for Madonna in the US from 89-91.

Of course it is a legend an icon someone has said otherwise?
Now you are going to tell me that in USA they have treated her very well .. never nominated to the Grammy .. while others receive thousands.
the industry has never valued her as an icon like she deserves
it's not that they give her prizes ... it's that they do not even nominate her.
Huh? She has 7 Grammy's out of like 30 nominations, more than Whitney, Cher, Janet, Mariah etc.

The way people ignore how successful Madonna has been worldwide is staggering. The rewriting of her success in the USA for example and making out she was never that popular is downplaying her career achievements and is doing her a real injustice
Exactly especially by "fans"
Madonna has been RIDICULOUSLY successful in the US since 1983, more successful than even other legends, whose US success is their biggest Country, like Aretha, Cher and Dolly Parton (all of whom never had a #1 Album in the US!)
ITS just that Madonna has even been MORE successful in Europe, Australia, South America, Canada etc
It's crazy, how successful she's been

in usa against Taylor there is nothing to do ...
It's sad but it's reality, they have never valued Madonna
they adore Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor ... as they did with Houston, Carey..
they have always belittled Madonna
And yet Madonna has sold more albums than anyone you listed in the US, had more #1 albums, more BILLBOARD hits (#2 bb Hot 100 Artist ever), and had bigger selling tours in the US
Odd, isn't ?

Her success in America is dead in the water. She needs to concentrate on her European audience who still appreciate her
Not true with album or ticket sales like Streisand and Springsteen for instance
. singles,,, yes, like every over 60 artist whose ever lived in the history of music
I mean Madonna is the oldest female act to hit the Billboard Hot 100 in the US with BIM

Exactly and it seems like Madonna is HUNGRY again, I predict huge promo from now until mid June when the album drops
