It will be 4 years without new music, so hopefully she doesn’t release just 10-11 new songs. An eleven song album like Music or American Life would be ok if she were still releasing new stuff every 2,5 years like between ROL and Hard Candy. But not for every 4 years.
It’s 2018, we are not listening to cassettes, you can choose to download whichever songs you like from any albums, and skip the ones you don’t like.
M, give us another +20 song-album like Rebel Heart please, to wait for 4 more years for M15.

I can’t believe all the non-album related political shit i’ve read on this forum lately. I don’t drink the Madonna kool aid but some fans here sound more like Kid Rock fans than Madonna’s.
I read attacks against the ‘alt left’ - which i’m not part of. Defending the lgbt communty in the 80’s clearly was seen as ‘alt left’. Same with other minorities like people of colour. And women’s right. Madonna did all of that. So i have no clue what some fans here are doing following her if they don’t have the same values as M.
And not everything should be decided by ‘ordinary people’. Ordinary people didn’t fight for women’s right to vote, for example. Progress and new ideas don’t come from average people. Ordinary people don’t fight for minorities.
Re: cultural appropriation, Madonna would never dress as a geisha in a video in 2019, as she did for Nothing Really Matters. That’s not considered as appropriate for a white person anymore, even a superstar. You can like it or not but that’s how we’ve evolved. Now the Rebel Heart opening outfits were quite inspired by the Japanese culture and she got no backlash, because that was more a tribute than cultural theft.
Golden rule: ask people’s opinion before deciding that something is not offensive or disrespectful to them.
P.S.: I’m white but I’m lucky to live in one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world, Toronto, Canada.

Interesting that there are as many opinions as she has fans.
Personally, I think MDNA is her best album title for the triple entendre, and especially for the similarity with the drug name (I don’t take it but no judgment at all for those who do it), which she sort of ackowledged when she had asked who had taken their Molly at a party. This is the subversive Madonna I love, mentioning an illicit drug that, let’s be honest, is very common in gay clubs.
I’d be ok with Magic but it has a very childish connotation to me.
I do not think Dark Ballet is a good album or song title at all, and I hope she doesn’t keep it, even for the song. I don’t associate current Madonna with ballet, even if she used to practice it at school. And adding ‘dark’ doesn’t make it mysterious to me, just cheesy and too niche. Reminds me of a cheap remake of Black Swan that Netflix would produce, targeted to teenagers.

I know some fans hate talking numbers but we’re talking about a global artist on which hundreds of jobs depend when she goes on tour, so numbers matter for her team when deciding on music release. So here we go:
Worldwide album sales:
COADF: 10M - Hard Candy: 4M - MDNA: 2M - RH: 1M. yes, that matches the industry’s trend with similar artists, and we know they rely on ticket sales instead of album sales. So let’s look at tour revenues:
SS tour: $400M - mdna tour: $300M - RH tour: $170M
Yes her tours always sell and will never be cancelled, but her team doesn’t want to just sell tickets, they need to make sure she sells a lot of tickets so they can sell at least 2 nights in most arenas, to keep the same level of concert production.
And with major artists like M, a lot of non fans go see them in tour as part of their bucket list. Going to see Madonna in concert once in my life. Check.
So they need to carefully plan music and tour announcement. Sucks that it may push any M14 song release to next year.
Y’all can blame it on Oseary if that can help you wait till 2019.

Like everyone here, I wish the album could be released very #soon this year, but let's face it, her team's priority is a 2019 tour. The album is just a way to promote the tour, which brings more revenues.
Also, even if the album is ready or almost ready, M and her team may prefer spending their time preparing the tour than promoting a new album that wouldn't serve concert ticket sales.

Guys. Can we stop blaming Guy O for everything? You can plan the best promotion, if no one other than us fans like her music, she won’t get streamed.
Even for the choice of producers, she’s an adult and can go on the web by herself to discover artists she wants to work with.
For her legacy, if you’re talking about special anniversary versions of her albums, some fans like me don’t give a damn about them - tour tickets are expensive enough. I’d pay for the Re-invention tour film, but i’d never buy a repackaged version of her past albums. It’d cost them more to produce and promote these than revenues they’d made. They’re not running a charity.
Now if only Guy O could rush her to release M14.

Award shows are still great for mass promotion and she’s often one of the most talked about stars the days after, even when she only delivers an award like last August. I doubt she wants to do the Brit again, but maybe the Grammy? She had announced her 2015 performance on Jan 12 for a show on Feb 8.
I know it’s a different story this time, the first single hasn’t leaked and been released weeks before the Grammy awards like Living For Love had. We don’t even know if she’s ready to release a single and video for early February.
