    She says something about 'When two fags say no' in Im going to bake you a souffle, as well, doesn't she. Surprised me at the time but you know she's not a hater, obvs... dont know if shed get away with that today with twitter etc though. She'd probably be run out of town with pitchforks.

    Dont bite my head off for saying this but is it only me that is starting to get irritated and slightly resentful about the delay... i dont think its great to be posting 'Coming soon' when it isn't coming for months and months and months. I miss the days when you had no idea other than 'Next spring an album will come out' a year in advance. The not knowing if its this year or not is bugging me. I feel the excitement is being tested and strung out. Would have been better if we didnt know anything at all until 3 months before. This feels like limbo.

    Yes it is weird that she's getting so excited. Not weird, actually, just unlike her. Could be because of the Malawi thing...... but it would be great to drop a single or at least a press release tomorrow about the album. She wouldn't be able to promote a single but ut would get a TON of press as the media seem to be really covering her birthday. It would get mention on news shows and online that it wont do if its later....the story would be 'Still releasing music as she hits 60, defiant, not going away etc etc'

For me it was obvious she worked on twang and placing the voice before Hard Candy because the crow voice started then. The problem was that she used too much twang and sang too nasal. But she has gained more control over that now. The crow voice has kind of disappeared. On the other hand, at least she is emotive in her singing, and that is something you can't really learn. And she gives her all during a show. 

    Thank you. Thats really interesting to hear. I have no clue about technique etc - I really liked her voice around Like A Prayer/Blonde Ambition. Its never had the same lovely real earthy quality she had since then. Still love her and its a pleasure to listen to her albums mostly but her voice had much more character then.

    Dont hate me but BS wasn't stronger. I really like that album now and TAB was a huge hit and Secret is a lovely son but it wasn't in the same league as everything up to Justify My love. I love all her work and theres something interesting in all of them but that first phase was the Imperial mega hit phase. Hoping she will do something unique with this next one, an album that sounds like it comes from her heart and soul rather than Guy Oseary's spreadsheets!

    Good point. I think a birthday single would be good re the publicity - but it would need promotion and she wont want to do that while she has more time to be with her kids in the August holiday. My money is on October. Worked well for Hung Up!
