you can have both - LAP had great reviews and so did Ray of light and it sold and won awards.

No. It was the first time she didn't look infallible and like a mere mortal. Its not the end of the world but it wasn't a positive. It clearly didn't help the single. Popsters like Madonna, ageing, do not want to look like they are stumbling etc, even though it could have happened to anyone.

The thing I don't like about this is it sounds like the typical bump and grind sexual stuff - not because im against it being sexual but its just no artistically boring and uninteresting. I want her to make me dance and sing and wave my hands in the air and have a smile on my face, not just thinking about blow jobs. We shall see!

Until the end of the summer, this movie was surrounded by a negative rumor and it was only when the promotional machine was started that a success began to be manufactured. In no way anyone, let alone Madonna, could have been intimidated by the release of this album. And now, even if the album and the single have been stuck in the top 10 for weeks, nobody listens or wants to hear the music of this movie. Yes, people wanted to see the movie because of the aggressive advertising campaign, but no one came out of it running to buy his soundtrack. Its success is pure payola and anyone following the industry knows it.
It’s not true that the film had a negative vibe until the promo kicked in. It’s been a major buzz in Hollywood since people started seeing the rushes and Streisand and de Niro saw it a long long time ago. The only people saying negative things were fans on madonna sites, that I saw. I’m a fan of them both!

I hope not. LOVE HER but I can barely cope with another song lecturing everyone about being obsessed with fame and money (like she is) on the album, let alone a lead single. She needs to make us dance and feel good, not give us a lecture.

It was totally logical to believe it was this year. You dont preview a few lines from a song in May that will debut almost a year later and post 'soon' regularly - unless you havent a clue what you are doing.

Thats irritated me. She has no respect for her fans. She could have mentioned this casually in an instagram post months and months ago. To preview a few lines from a song in May and say 'Coming soon' for a release the following year is crazy. She takes her fans for granted.

But she's given a huge expanse of time - Oct and Nov. It sounds like she's finished most of it but who knows whether she's mixing, mastering etc etc whatever else they do, or working on one or two more tracks. We dont know. That 4 am thing just furthers the idea that music just slots in around her gyms and face masks to me. Similar to the way William Orbit said MDNA was tossed off

Yeah but she posted it, what looked like a single cover, though it wasn't, with the words Coming soon. Of course it means something and of coursepeople were expecting it.
