I know, still mad the album and single version of BIM weren't the final Diplo mix. Obviously would have been if they hadn't rushed out the Decmeber 2014 6 track release.

Well from what i understood was the diplo mix was before SOPHIE then once she got involved she added her signature bleeps and bloops.

Peter! I didn't take it that way at all!  I was already aware that my responses weren't exactly scholarly and your post was a useful reminder of that, but I didn't think you were being rude or reproachful. In fact that old thread had already entered my thoughts previously, although I couldn't remember what conclusions (if any) we'd reached. I was glad that you recalled it also!

Anyway, you're one of the nicest, most level-headed people here and I don't want you to think I was being snappy towards you. I try and save that for those who are clearly two sandwiches short of a picnic, such as the previous respondents!

Two sandwiches short of a picnic? Well that's an interesting saying. I think I'll start using that...

    says nobody.

Yup. RIT was definately damage control for AL and a long with Live8 helped give her such positive anticipation for Confessions. All she needs to do is give a toura vague name, make sure to do one or two hits from each album along with her new album and we get the best of both worlds.

Does anyone not like the title "Beautiful Game"? It sounds (to me) very trying-to-be-deep. Like a track off of Katy Perry's Witness.

It just doesn't have that simple yet iconic ring to it like "Hung Up" or "Get Together" or even "Celebration"

When i first heard the snippet i did think of katy cuz it does give me that vibe of her song "who am i living for" but i like katy so that's not a bad thing.

yeah I know that. but something about the weight of the font or the placing seems a little "off". other than that though it's without a doubt the most intriguing one.. something about it looks so iconic and familiar.

Well i based it on that 1990 miesel pic of her that in that decorated bra lol it was just a quick mock up of what i hope for but probably won't get lol

Omg! I love it! Clean and simple yet epic!

My inspiration is kind of a mixture of AHS Coven, YSL, and the Music era when she had a bob. She looks great when showing skin but i think its time to show another sleeker way to be sexy and stylish. Grillz and makeup aside, i thought it was such a great look all those years ago at the Grammys when she wore that Ralph Lauren suit.

there are more songwriters involve that we don't know yet.

In march, she said she was with brilliant songwriterS. In plural. We only know about Starrah.  I don't you but i wish one of them is Ryan Tedder. I was just listening Counting Stars. What an amazing song and album 3846532185.png sadly, his songs for Rebel Heart never saw the light

Wasnt Hold Tight one of them? Or did he just do the final production?

I had a dream about her performance :chuckle:

She was dressed like a magician and coming down a long set of stairs. Then there was choreography with dancers...the song was good but it had the same melody as Future Lovers. Hahaha

I had a dream her outfit was a HUGE black butterfly with amazing black wings and that it symbolized death and mysticism and i thought why couldn't it be an obvious catholic reference!

I also find the questions about how she stays fit or motherhood boring too, but she doesn't always get to dictate what questions she's asked. A lot of talk shows that reach a broader audience tend to ask those more human interest questions. There are magazines and shows that talk about the recording process tend to have a smaller audience unfortunately.

I personally absolutely love NPR. They have this show called Fresh Air where they do in depth interviews with various artists. I would love it if she was on there or on their news shows like Morning Edition or All Things Considered. They do really intelligent thought provoking interviews, but the trade off is they don't have as big a listenership as network television or commercial radio that ask the more boring questions.

That would be really cool...tbh i really want a book from her 😭😭😭😭

But that is the point. She can reach out to new consumers and always has done that. By ignoring her past though,  she will be leaving out her main selling point to get new interest - that she is the Queen of pop and music.  That is something  that is so special and to be celebrated. I don't think her team have pushed that enough.

New consumers as you word it, would be more eagar to discover her by being exposed on mass to what an epic superstar she is. Younger generations keep discovering acts like the Beatles etc who keep attracting new fans ready to learn about music legends. Madonna has a selling point that no other female performer out there has - that she is the most successful and biggest selling pop female artist ever.  Add great new music to that fact alongside huge promotion and that is a strategy that will gain mass attention and publicity.

I guess i should rephrase what i suggest, not that she literally acts like a new artist that has never had an album out but not depend on it if that makes sense. Look at ray of light, it was like she was a completely new artist and the focus was solely on the music. She even denounced her past music. I wouldnt go that far but she doesnt have to constantly answer questions about her past. And like another post said no questions about how she stays fit or how she's a mother. Yawn.

Not really. With a real record company, things would be a little better, but you have to be realistic. The only thing that matters is that she continues to give us music that inspires her.

I've never found the music to ever be a problem, for me that's the least of the concern. Every album she has ever put out is inspired.
