It sounds more like a Lana Del Rey song than anything else...even a little Natalia Kills thrown in. Also I'm very curious if she saw the Natalie Portman film Vox Lux since it does revolve around him violence and pop stardom.

Most acts, even older acts like Madonna,have a team at their record label that pushes their songs at radio and book interviews and contests and other radio promotion for their acts. Madonna does not have this at Interscope, it's actually baffling and unheard of. And I follow a lot of older veteran acts, it's the first I've ever seen. There's ZERO radio push
I knew something was up when the press release didn't even announce the radio add/impact dates
EVERY Madonna album in the past and basically every major Artist, has that listed I'm their press releases for their new albums
Correct me if im wrong but BIM wasnt even sent to radio as far as i know so i do think its quite impressive that it even charted

Meh the standard one is bad. She looks pretty and i like the madame x stitched on the lips but the cropping and that random font on her face is not pleasing in the slightest. Kinda reminds me of the standard RH with the title on her arm. Just isnt well done. I would love to see that full image tho.

Um she didn't perform Hung Up in the US until the grammys in Feb 06 and it still charted at #7 while the rest of the world was treated with all these great performances at EMAs Star Academy KOKO G-A-Y and Parkinson. All the US got was Letterman and small clips on ET and CBS after the fact. Not a fair comparison. That's like saying the UK dumped her for MDNA when in reality she didn't promote it there.

That's fine, you can find her song too generic lol personally I am hoping M has one more number 1 in her so she can hold the record of oldest woman to hit number 1 and be the only artist to have a number 1 on the main chart for 4 consecutive decades...80s 90s 00s and 10s. Nobody else will ever come close to that record if she obtains it. Superficial I know, but i would be so happy and proud if that's part of her legacy.

I wouldn't say it was a flop. It wasnt successful in terms of her other albums but it still did well and give her another number 1, a top 5 and two top 20 singles which i think is pretty damn good considering how people turned on her and called her a snake. While I think she peaked with 1989 this next album wont be a flop unless the songs are truly offensively bad.

Yeah once she moved on from the US it went womp womp...i mean even Give it 2 Me charted without the video and it being a single when the album was released. But look how MDNA flopped without promo...it doesn't matter if it's US or UK, if she isn't actively promoting it will fail. If she can avoid negative press and can perform up to her standards she will win. The people that hate her will always hate her but those who are indifferent can be won over.

Err...the last album she truly promoted in the US was American life and that was almost 20 years ago. Confessions she only did a few small interviews and didnt even perform Hung Up until grammys 2006 when it was already old. She performed Hung Up and Get Together all over Europe when it was released. Hard Candy she only did that NY gig, Celebration she only did that one Letterman interview that got more press for the pizza and she barely even mentioned her greatest hits, MDNA she did superbowl and dropped off the face of the earth and had to do last minute things with Fallon and UME. RH was gonna underperform no matter what she did because of the leaks so to say she shouldn't focus on the US is ridiculous. That's not to say pay attention to only the US and fuck Europe because that's not gonna help her either. I still firmly believe she can overcome ageism is both US and in Europe with a great song and hopefully this era will do just that. No leaks have occurred and everything has been a well guarded secret. Magic is in the air and we can all feel it.

Oh puh lease how rehearsed was that version? Definately not the same thing as a fully rehearsed tour version or in this case a planned televised choreographed version. If you think 93 was the last good performance of the song I feel bad for you and would LOVE for her to do this song again and I'm sure many fans as well. Plus if it's political it fits in.

Fake news. Laidback Luke remix for GMAYL totally slayed anything from RH and then those mixes for GGW!!! Lawd that Dada mix is SO fucking good! TUTR also had good mixes from Offer Nissam and R3hab. Living for Love had the worst mixes.

I already feel tired of this era and it hasn't even happened yet
bring on 2025 M15!!! weird to think the next time we experience this waiting will most likely be when she's 67 and we'll have forgotten all about this waiting for M14! Then most likely after that will be 2028/29 when she'll be 70...and we'll still be fighting about what singles should've been chosen and some of us will barely be catching up with steaming while all the youngins will have some crazy new format!

Devil Pray as first single? Lol fans need to stop giving advice. Ready for this era and can't wait to see what's in store! If what we are reading is true, she is going to do what she does best and give us this amazing dichotomy of politics and disco pop. Yes the GOP will hate it. Yes the SJWs will hate it. It might flop but who cares. If we want a number one we have to stream and adapt and stop holding on to things like its the 80s and 90s and like some magical ballad is gonna save her. She's still energetic and vivacious and enjoys having fun.
