  1. I have a terror washing over me - after 21 years I'm a bit stressed that if she does come, I won't get a ticket near the front or it will sell out etc I haven't had to buy Madonna tickets ever as for The Girlie Show my contact at Warner got me tickets which I paid for so yep if she announces a tour I will stress out for months.....and then worry that she'll cancel or I'll die or something lol

  2. BlueJean thanks - to my knowledge, Madonna and her team are aware of the damage that was caused by the announcement and cancellation especially since the announcement featured Guy stating how overdue a tour was only for yet another tour to be cancelled - it was the first time I ever believed she was actually coming and it will be the last - until she steps on an Australian stage before my eyes, I will prepare for a cancellation - it's conditioning as an Aussie fan.

There won't be any premature announcement next time - the ticket sales date will be announced or Australia will not be featured on the itinerary - they will be careful this next time I'd say. I think her career in Australia is dead if she doesn't tour next time and that's simply because of the "she hates us" or "she can't be bothered" mentality of the casual fans. I personally hope she comes down here, does a heap of shows and blows us all away

  3. My point is I am a real fan - I missed the opportunity to see her overseas due to the terminal illness of my father, buying houses and for MDNA I signed a contract at work just two weeks before she cancelled Australia - if she announced tickets on sale tomorrow I can book flights and fly to London - this time I will quit my job if I have to and get a new one when I get back.

I cop all the "real fan" shit from idiots on Twitter and Facebook because I own one of the most extensive Madonna collections in Australia - that's 27 years worth of dedication and they still say I'm not a real fan.

What a lot of people overseas don't realise is Madonna's brand in Australia is not good at the moment and hasn't been since she dropped plans to bring the Confessions Tour here and each time she has promised and never toured, it's impacted her legacy here peaking with the vile casual fan and media backlash she copped when she cancelled the MDNA plans - it was like the final nail and it's sad that the most successful singles artist and female artist in Australian chart history hasn't been here in over two decades. Only a tour will rebuild her brand - I choose to stay positive - yes I could make a video compilation of every promise in an interview since 1999 and subsequent news report of not touring to prove my points but it would be of no value. I forgive her and I'm going to London.

And BlueJean - I was one of the few fans who didn't throw a tantrum when she cancelled the last tour. It is what it is and I don't expect her to tour here

  4. I think for her to return to Australia, it won't be until she's ready to do a hits tour - we've missed so much and let's face it, as great as the MDNA show was, there was only 6 songs that were hits in Australia so the critics and casual fans would have slammed her. 20 years is a long time and songs like Like A Prayer were never performed in Australia - and since then we've had massive albums like Music, Ray Of Light and COADF - MDNA was in the charts for 4 short weeks and M's last hit single here was 4 Minutes - cancelling so many plans, the promises, the tweets from Guy, the two apologies have really damaged her brand down here so anything but a hits tour sadly will not be well received after two decades - to put it in perspective, if you are under 33 in Australia it's unlikely you have seen Madonna in concert. So my plan is London regardless and if Australia is not in the plans or cancelled again, I'll do Japan as well. My gut feeling is Guy knows her brand is damaged here and I really think they will hold off until a hits tour. Also note Guy doesn't tweet much these days and I really think he was burnt by his "It will happen" tweet to an Aussie fan in 2011. Still what will be will be

  5. I'm in touch with many Aussie fans and it's kind of at the point where she may need to do a "hits" tour here in Australia - we have missed out on so many tours that it may have been a blessing in disguise the MDNA tour was cancelled as much as her fans would have loved it, the general public and media would have savaged it for the lack of known songs - Aussie audiences would only know Papa Don't Preach, Hung Up, Express Yourself, Open Your Heart, Vogue, Human Nature, Like A Virgin and Like A Prayer and that's it and after a 20 year absence, they would have expected the Ray Of Light, Music, Don't Tell Me etc along with stuff never seen here like Into The Groove - basically we've missed her whole career with the exception of one era - if she tours Australia I'm hoping she throws in a couple of hits as a thank you for waiting so long and forgiving her. We will see. I'm not confident she will ever tour Australia so I'm saving for London :)

  6. It will be my first M show in 20+ years next tour and I'm flying to London to be sure I'll see her, I'm terrified I won't get a good position but I don't care, I'll take back row at this point lol and if the tour comes to Australia, I will go to every show so hopefully will score a good position at one of the Aussie shows - saving $$$$ now :)
