  1. I’m actually more worried about the volatile atmosphere here in NI than anything else. The flag protests a few years ago and still ongoing btw were engineered to become some of the worst disturbances in years, ultimately unseated some good politicians and set us back many years. The idea of a border poll, justified or not, and the potential violence manipulated from it fills me with fucking dread. But the current situation here is pretty abysmal anyway, and I think that’s why many who voted IN here feel particularly sore today. At least Scotland can get out, and England has a viable opposition government, for the time being anyway.

  2. Let 23 June 2016 be the day the world remembers that a xenophobic, racist, bug-eyed turtle called Nigel Farage spawned enough fear through blatant lies, fearmongering and dirty politics in the minds of the British public to destroy the pound and the future of Great Britain. Or as it shall henceforth be known... "Britain".

    Democracy, eh?

  3. I remember crossing over from Ireland to Northern Ireland with my parents when I was young.... There were armed guards that had us stop and they searched our car-- all went well, of course, but it's not a pleasant, stress-free environment, am sad to think this might become a regluar thing now that we were forced to leave

  4. Northern Ireland voted to remain but was outnumbered by the vote in England and Wales. It's like sitting beside the driver in the car and being given a kiddie-wheel so you feel like you're doing something but let's be honest - that thing is a toy and it will never make a difference to the movement of the car

  5. When the recession hits and the redundancies are handed out, Brexiters should get to the front of the queue. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people when they see that there won't be extra money for the NHS, there'll be less, there won't be extra money for farmers, there'll be less, there won't be money for regional development, London will continue to suck in investment while the regions like NI wither on the vine. You fell for the lie that immigration is a bad thing and that leaving the EU would reduce it, it will but only because immigration always goes down in a failing economy. Shame on anyone who voted based on anything from the mouths of politicians without looking up the information for themselves, you'll get what you deserve. Shame on Cameron, he divided Scotland into two bitterly opposed camps, he's done the same with the rest of the country, that's his legacy.
